Schmilka-Hirschmühle station

The Mühlgrundbach is a river of Saxony, Germany. It flows into the Elbe near the Schöna railway station, opposite the village Schmilka.

The Kaiserkrone is a heavily abraded and jagged remains of a table hill that, together with the Zirkelstein, rises above the level plain of Schöna, immediately on the outskirts of the village in the Elbe Sandstone Mountains in the German state of Saxony. The name "Kaiserkrone" means "imperial crown" and is derived from its appearance. The three points of the crown, each of which may be climbed, are part of the large sandstone step known as "c3", from the Upper Turonian stage, and were left behind as the wide rock crevices between them were formed. Mankind has also been involved in the formation and/or destruction of the plateau which is 350.8 m above NN. At the southern end of the rocks, two lions have been carved by unknown artists. At the beginning of the 19th century the Kaiserkrone was also known by other names like the Kahlstein, Zahnstein or Kronenberg. Even older designations are Galitzstein (end of the 16th century), Golzenstein (end of the 18th century) and Gollstein (early 19th century). At the southern foot of the Kaiserkrone there are several sandstone rocks of unusual shape that were rediscovered in the sketch book of Caspar David Friedrich, which he drew during a visit to the Kaiserkrone and later used as the undercoat for his painting Der Wanderer über dem Nebelmeer.

The Zirkelstein is the smallest table hill of Saxon Switzerland, in Germany. It is a wooded, cone-shaped hill with a striking 40-metre-high (130 ft) summit block of sandstone rock.

Schöna (German: Bahnhof Schöna) is a station located on the grounds of Reinhardtsdorf-Schöna municipality, Saxony, Germany. It is the closest German station to the national border between Germany and the Czech Republic on the Děčín–Dresden-Neustadt railway. It is not a border station, though. Those used to be Bad Schandau and Děčín hlavní nádraží. There are a couple of sidings south of the station where the S1 can prepare to return towards Dresden. There is hardly any access from the station to village of Schöna, which is outside the Elbe valley in southern direction. The station is more important to reach the village of Hřensko in the Czech Republic, which is just across the river and can be reached by ferry.

The Teufelsturm (also Butterweckfels or Mittagstein) is a prominent rock tower and climbing rock formed of Elbe Sandstone, about forty metres high in Saxon Switzerland in northeastern Germany. It is located east of the River Elbe on the upper edge of the valley between Schmilka and Bad Schandau in the Schrammsteinen. The Teufelsturm is also referred to as the "Symbol of Saxon Climbing".

The Kamenice (German: Kamnitz) is a 35.6-kilometre-long river in the Děčín District, in northwestern Czech Republic. It originates in the Lusatian Mountains and then flows through the national park of Bohemian Switzerland, emptying into the Elbe River (Czech: Labe) in Hřensko.

Hřensko (German: Herrnskretschen) is a municipality and village in Děčín District in the Ústí nad Labem Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 300 inhabitants.

The Frienstein, also called the Vorderes Raubschloss, is a rock formation, about 130 metres high, in Saxon Switzerland. It lies on the northern slopes of the Großer Winterberg in the Affensteine rocks. On the rock there was once a watchtower of the Barony of Wildenstein. Today the Frienstein is a popular climbing peak .

Reinhardtsdorf-Schöna is a municipality in the Sächsische Schweiz-Osterzgebirge district in the German federal state of Saxony. It has a population of approximately 1,600 and is located close to the Czech border in Saxon Switzerland, a popular tourist region.

Großer Winterberg is a mountain of Saxony, southeastern Germany. It is the second highest mountain of the Saxon Switzerland and is located on the border between Germany and the Czech Republic.

The Schrammsteine are a long, strung-out, very jagged group of rocks in the Elbe Sandstone Mountains located east of Bad Schandau in Saxon Switzerland in eastern Germany. To the north they are bordered by the Kirnitzsch valley, to the south by the Elbe valley and to the east by the Affensteine rocks. The high point of the chain lies at over 400 m above sea level (HN). The viewing point on the Schrammsteine lies at a height of 417.2 m above HN.

The Affensteine are a long chain of deeply fissured rocks in the Elbe Sandstone Mountains that are located east of Bad Schandau in the German region of Saxon Switzerland. They are bounded to the north by the Kirnitzsch valley, to the south by the Elb valley and in the east by the two Winterberg hills.
