Kingsdown School is a mixed secondary school with academy status in Swindon, Wiltshire, England. In its February 2020 Ofsted report, it was rated 'Good'.In August 2019 the school was at the centre of a county lines investigation by Wiltshire Police, with 40 pupils suspected of being involved in the supply of cannabis and cocaine and girls as young as 14 being coerced into sexual activity in exchange for drugs.

St. Joseph's Catholic College (formerly St Joseph's Comprehensive School) is a secondary school in Swindon, England. The school opened in 1958 and was the town's first Catholic school, offering education to students aged 11 to 16. Today it remains the only Roman Catholic secondary education provider in Swindon, but is open to other religions. The County Ground (currently known as the Energy Check County Ground for sponsorship purposes) is a stadium located near the town centre of Swindon, Wiltshire, England, and has been home to Swindon Town Football Club since 1896. The current capacity of 15,728, all-seated, has been at that level since the mid-1990s. A record attendance of 32,000 was set on 15 January 1972, against Arsenal in the third round of the FA Cup. North of the football stadium is Swindon Cricket Club, with their pitch also named The County Ground following its use by the football club from 1893 until 1896.

Honda of the UK Manufacturing Ltd (informally HUM) was a British automotive manufacturing company, and the United Kingdom-based manufacturing subsidiary of the multinational automotive company Honda. Based in Swindon, England, HUKM operated manufacturing plants that included casting, engine assembly, pressing, welding, painting, and car assembly activities. At the time of its closure, it employed around 3,400 people at the plants, which occupied a site covering around 370 acres.Honda has made a total investment of over £1.5 billion in the Swindon plants. In 2008, HUKM produced 230,423 cars. By 2016 annual unit production was down to 134,146 units, although this still represented an increase of 12.3% over the figure for 2015. In early 2019, it was announced the entire manufacturing plant in Swindon would close, which was later confirmed by Honda. The plant closed on 30 July 2021, officially ending over 36 years of Honda production in Europe.

The Magic Roundabout in Swindon, England, is a ring junction constructed in 1972 consisting of five mini-roundabouts arranged in a circle. Located near the County Ground, home of Swindon Town F.C., its name comes from the popular children's television series The Magic Roundabout. In 2009 it was voted the fourth-scariest junction in Britain.

Stratton Park Halt served the community of Stratton St Margaret, now part of the Borough of Swindon in Wiltshire, England. The station was on the main Great Western Railway line from London to Bristol and opened around 1840. The Beeching cuts brought its closure in 1964, by which time it was only served by five trains per day.
