The Palazzo Zambeccari at 11 Via Carbonesi is a Neoclassical urban palace in central Bologna, region of Emilia-Romagna, Italy. It is located diagonal to the facade of San Paolo Maggiore, and in 2015 was home to offices of the Banco Popular di Milano SCRL.

Porta Castiglione was a portal of the former outer medieval walls of the city of Bologna, Italy. First erected in the second half of the 13th century, and rebuilt in the 15th century. The now isolated tower once was a machiocolated rampart in the city walls. The gate once stood beside the Savena Canal, which crossed the city and whose current fed hydraulic power to the city's cloth factories.

Santa Maria della Misericordia is a Renaissance-style Roman Catholic church located on Piazza di Porta Castiglione #4 in Bologna, region of Emilia Romagna, Italy. It stands adjacent to the Giardini Margherita and Viale Giovanni Gozzadini. A church at this site, outside of the city walls, was rebuilt in 1432 by the Olivetan order. The church was then acquired by an Augustinian order of Friars, who added the portico in the late 15th-century. The interior houses works by various important artists including a fresco (moved to canvas) depicting the Madonna dell'Umiltà (1397) by Lippo di Dalmasio. There are also works by Bartolommeo Ramenghi (il Bagnacavallo), Bartolomeo Cesi, Vincenzo Spisanelli, Ubaldo Gandolfi and Francesco Francia.

The Church of Corpus Domini, also known as the Chiesa della Santa is a Roman Catholic church in Bologna. It is part of an active monastery complex of the order of Clarissan nuns, that is nuns of the contemplative Second Order of St. Francis. The monastery is semi-cloistered. The complex hosts a museum dedicated to nurses and nursing, inaugurated by Cardinal Giorgio Gusmini in 1919. The museum has written and perhaps painted works of Saint Caterina de' Vigri, also known as Saint Catherine of Bologna (1413–1463). The church structure was built in 1478 and decorated in the 17th century, among the works are: Frescoes of a "Glory of Angels" in apse and "Evangelists" in medallions by Marcantonio Franceschini Floral decoration by Enrico Haffner Quadratura by Luigi Quaini Stucco work by Giuseppe Maria MazzaThe church allows visitors to enter an adjacent site to see and pray to the enthroned mummified corpse of the 15th-century Clarisse nun and saint, canonized in the 18th century.

The Basilica of San Domenico is one of the major churches in Bologna, Italy. The remains of Saint Dominic, founder of the Order of Preachers (Dominicans), are buried inside the exquisite shrine Arca di San Domenico, made by Nicola Pisano and his workshop, Arnolfo di Cambio and with later additions by Niccolò dell'Arca and the young Michelangelo.

The Biblioteca Zambeccari is a former library, attached to the Jesuit monastery and colleges near the church of Santa Lucia in Bologna. Now with two stories of shelves bereft of books, the Baroque frescoed room, located in the Liceo Galvani, is sometimes used for meetings and public events.

The Teatro Duse is one the oldest extant theaters in the city of Bologna, Italy. Located in the Palazzo del Giglio, the theatre's address is at 42 Via Cartoleria, 40124. It was built by the engineer Antonio Brunetti, and the theatre opened as the Teatro Brunetti in 1822. In 1898 it was re-named for the actress Eleonora Duse. While more frequently used as a venue for plays during its history, the theatre has also been utilized for other types of performances such as operas and concerts. The opera composer Guglielmo Zuelli conducted operas at the theatre in the mid to late 1880s. In the 1890s the conductor Antonino Palminteri was active as a resident opera conductor at the theatre. Gialdino Gialdini's opera I due soci premiered at the theatre on 24 February 1892.

The Palazzo Legnani Pizzardi, also known as Palazzo Pizzardi e Volta or just Palazzo Pizzardi, is a Renaissance style palace located on Via d'Azeglio #38, corner with Via Farini, in central Bologna, Italy. In 2015, the palace housed the Tribunal of Bologna.

The Collegio di Spagna (Royal Spanish College or Royal College of Spain in Bologna) (officially Real Colegio Mayor de San Clemente de los Españoles) is a college for Spanish students at the University of Bologna, Italy, which has been functioning since the 14th century. Its full original name in English translation was the College of Saint Clement of the Spaniards. It has been under the Royal patronage of the Spanish Crown since 1488, as authorized by Pope Innocent VIII.

Santa Lucia is a former ancient Roman Catholic church in central Bologna, located on Via Castiglione 36. The building's facade was never completed and is made of brick, some of which is deteriorating. The interior features Baroque architecture and is used as a lecture hall by the University of Bologna.
