Artington

St Catherine's Hill is a hill south of Guildford in Surrey, England, with a ruined chapel on its top. The hill is about half a mile south of Guildford on the way to Godalming, near the village of Artington and the River Wey. The village is on a sandstone outcrop near the Pilgrims' Way, at the crossing on the river.

Bookers Tower is a Grade II listed four-storey octagonal tower built in the 19th century, in the Gothic style. It is in Guildford, Surrey, and can be found along Beech Lane, behind the Mount Cemetery (resting place of Lewis Carroll). Built on high ground to the west of Guildford town centre, it was commissioned by the then mayor of Guildford, Charles Booker in memory of his sons, Charles and Henry, who had both died at the age of 15, and was completed in 1839. After its completion it was used to commemorate Queen Victoria's marriage to Albert, in 1840. In later years Bookers Tower was used by the Victorian scientist, John Rand Capron, in experiments involving lightning. In World War II it was used an air raid observation post.The tower is not open to the public.

Mount Cemetery, also known as Guildford Cemetery, is a cemetery in Guildford, Surrey, England. It is the location of Booker's Tower. Guildford Cemetery is surrounded by low-density houses with gardens and a covered reservoir beyond the east corner, immediately south of the successive residential streets of the Guildford Park and Farnham Road neighbourhoods west of Guildford, on the 'Guildown' or 'Mount' section of the western North Downs here forming the widest section of the Hog's Back. Guildford Cemetery has in part views overlooking the town centre. Plots have been laid out to the maximum number its civic authority owner permits under rules set out in the 2000s. Burials are permitted in plots reserved or within an existing family grave to the deceased subject to a maximum of four related burials per plot.The cemetery contains the war graves of 33 Commonwealth service personnel, 14 from the First World War and 19 from the Second World War.

Shalford Mill is an 18th-century Grade II* listed watermill located on the River Tillingbourne in Shalford, near Guildford, Surrey, England. In 1932, the mill was endowed to the National Trust by a group of eccentric young female philanthropists called Ferguson's Gang.

Wey Valley Meadows is a 94.1-hectare (233-acre) biological Site of Special Scientific Interest north of Godalming in Surrey.This 4-kilometre (2.5-mile) long stretch of the valley of the River Wey consists of species-rich unimproved meadows. Much of it is maintained by rabbit grazing, but there are also areas of wet fen-meadow, woodland and scrub. Snipe, lapwing and kingfisher breed on the site.

Named after the actress Yvonne Arnaud, it presents a series of locally produced and national touring productions, including opera, ballet and pantomime. The theatre has two performance venues, the main auditorium and the smaller Mill Studio.

St Mary's Church is an Anglican church in Guildford in Surrey, England; the church's Anglo-Saxon tower is the oldest surviving structure in the town. Charles Lutwidge Dodgson, the author Lewis Carroll, preached here and his funeral was held in the church in 1898. Coming under the Diocese of Guildford, the church has been Grade I listed since 1953.

Guildford County School (GCS) is a co-educational day school on Farnham Road (A31), Guildford, England, 200 metres from Guildford town centre. It has around 1050 students enrolled, including the Sixth Form. It is run by its headmaster Steve Smith.The school first opened as an all girls Grammar School in 1905. In September 2004, the school was granted Specialist Music College status, designated by the Department for Education and Skills. Julian Lloyd Webber and Howard Goodall are patrons of the school. The school was then granted academy status in 2013.

Shalford is a village and civil parish in Surrey, England on the A281 Horsham road immediately south of Guildford. It has a railway station which is between Guildford and Dorking on the Reading to Gatwick Airport line. It has one named locality, occupying the west of the area, Peasmarsh. Shalford's village sign was designed by Christopher Webb and W H Randall Blacking in 1922, as part of a competition run by the Daily Mail. It shows Saint Christopher carrying the Christ Child over a shallow ford.
