Wey Valley Meadows

Shalford is a village and civil parish in Surrey, England on the A281 Horsham road immediately south of Guildford. It has a railway station which is between Guildford and Dorking on the Reading to Gatwick Airport line. It has one named locality, occupying the west of the area, Peasmarsh. Shalford's village sign was designed by Christopher Webb and W H Randall Blacking in 1922, as part of a competition run by the Daily Mail. It shows Saint Christopher carrying the Christ Child over a shallow ford.

Artington is a village and civil parish in the borough of Guildford, Surrey, England. It covers the area from the southern edge of the built-up centre of Guildford and steep Guildown, the start of the Hog's Back and part of the North Downs AONB, to New Pond Farm by Godalming and the edge of Peasmarsh. It contains Loseley Park, a country estate with dairy, and the hamlet of Littleton.

Broadwater School is a coeducational secondary school in the village of Farncombe, situated in the county of Surrey in England. Established as Broadwater County Secondary School the official opening was on Monday, 8 July 1968 [reference: Opening Programme]. The opening ceremony was performed by Chairman of Surrey County Council (Mr Louis A. White, J.P.) followed by a Prayer of Dedication by the Rector of Farncombe, Revd. E. R. Barnes. It has been a mixed comprehensive school since c.1970 and has approximately 600 students aged 11–16 years. Its main building has a multi-wing layout and between one and four floors. Elizabeth "Lizzi" Matthews succeeded Christopher Lee as Headteacher in 2017. Previously a community school administered by Surrey County Council, in September 2020 Broadwater School converted to academy status. The school is now sponsored by the Greenshaw Learning Trust.

Shalford railway station serves the village of Shalford, Surrey, England. The station, and all trains serving it, are operated by Great Western Railway. It is on the North Downs Line. The station is 41 miles 2 chains (66.0 km) from Charing Cross, and has two platforms, which can each accommodate a six-coach train. To the west is Shalford Junction, 41 miles 60 chains (67.2 km) from Charing Cross, where the North Downs Line meets the Portsmouth Direct Line 31 miles 42 chains (50.7 km) from Waterloo (via Woking).

Shalford Mill is an 18th-century Grade II* listed watermill located on the River Tillingbourne in Shalford, near Guildford, Surrey, England. In 1932, the mill was endowed to the National Trust by a group of eccentric young female philanthropists called Ferguson's Gang.

St Catherine's Hill is a hill south of Guildford in Surrey, England, with a ruined chapel on its top. The hill is about half a mile south of Guildford on the way to Godalming, near the village of Artington and the River Wey. The village is on a sandstone outcrop near the Pilgrims' Way, at the crossing on the river.

Godalming Town Football Club is a semi-professional football club based in Godalming, Surrey, England. They are currently members of the Southern Combination Division One and play at the Bill Kyte Stadium.

Broadwater Park is a cricket ground during the summer, and football ground through winter, located in Farncombe, Surrey. The first recorded match on the ground was in 1827, when the ground hosted a match between East and West Sussex. The ground held a single first-class match in 1854 when Surrey played Nottinghamshire. In constant use throughout both the 19th and 20th centuries, the ground today is the home venue of Farncombe Cricket Club. and Farncombe Wanderers Cricket Club. The Broadwater parkrun, a five-kilometre organised run/jog/walk, takes place every Saturday at 9 am in the park.The lake, at the east edge of the park, is leased by Godalming Angling Society.

Meadrow Unitarian Chapel (also known as Meadrow Chapel and Godalming Unitarian Church) is a Unitarian chapel in the Farncombe area of Godalming, Surrey, England. It is part of the London District and South Eastern Provincial Assembly of Unitarian and Free Christian Churches, one of 16 districts within the General Assembly of Unitarian and Free Christian Churches, the umbrella organisation for British Unitarians.Founded in 1789 as a General Baptist chapel in a town where Protestant Nonconformism was historically strong, it can trace its roots back to informal 17th-century Baptist meetings in houses and other venues. The congregation's doctrines changed during the 19th century to encompass Unitarian ideas, and the church "has long been regarded as Unitarian". Worship took place in another building within the grounds for more than a century until the mid-1970s, when the old chapel—which has been listed at Grade II for its architectural and historical importance—was returned to religious use.

St Catherine's School is an independent girls' boarding and day school in the village of Bramley, near Guildford, Surrey, England. The school is divided into a senior school, for ages 11–18, and a preparatory school for girls aged 4–11.

Bookers Tower is a Grade II listed four-storey octagonal tower built in the 19th century, in the Gothic style. It is in Guildford, Surrey, and can be found along Beech Lane, behind the Mount Cemetery (resting place of Lewis Carroll). Built on high ground to the west of Guildford town centre, it was commissioned by the then mayor of Guildford, Charles Booker in memory of his sons, Charles and Henry, who had both died at the age of 15, and was completed in 1839. After its completion it was used to commemorate Queen Victoria's marriage to Albert, in 1840. In later years Bookers Tower was used by the Victorian scientist, John Rand Capron, in experiments involving lightning. In World War II it was used an air raid observation post.The tower is not open to the public.

Mount Cemetery, also known as Guildford Cemetery, is a cemetery in Guildford, Surrey, England. It is the location of Booker's Tower. Guildford Cemetery is surrounded by low-density houses with gardens and a covered reservoir beyond the east corner, immediately south of the successive residential streets of the Guildford Park and Farnham Road neighbourhoods west of Guildford, on the 'Guildown' or 'Mount' section of the western North Downs here forming the widest section of the Hog's Back. Guildford Cemetery has in part views overlooking the town centre. Plots have been laid out to the maximum number its civic authority owner permits under rules set out in the 2000s. Burials are permitted in plots reserved or within an existing family grave to the deceased subject to a maximum of four related burials per plot.The cemetery contains the war graves of 33 Commonwealth service personnel, 14 from the First World War and 19 from the Second World War.
