Norwegian county road 407 (Fylkesvei 407) is a Norwegian county road in Agder county, Norway. The 13.9-kilometre (8.6 mi) highway runs between the village of Vik in Grimstad municipality and Sponvika on the south side of the city of Arendal in Arendal municipality. Prior to the transportation reforms of 2010, this road was a Norwegian national road, but since then it was taken over by the county.

The watershed covers 4,011 square kilometres (1,549 sq mi) and has an average waterflow of 114.4 cubic metres per second (4,040 cu ft/s) at Rykene near the mouth. The highest waterflow ever recorded on the river was 1,200 cubic metres per second (42,000 cu ft/s) in the autumn of 1987.

Bjorbekk Church (Norwegian: Bjorbekk kirke) is a parish church of the Church of Norway in Arendal Municipality in Agder county, Norway. It is located in the village of Bjorbekk. It is one of the churches for the Øyestad parish which is part of the Arendal prosti (deanery) in the Diocese of Agder og Telemark. The white, wooden church was built in a long church design in 1884 using plans drawn up by the architect Johan Christoff Friedrich Reuter (1829-1909). The church seats about 650 people.

The village is located at the mouth of the river Nidelva on the southwest side of the river, across the river from the villages of Asdal and Vrengen. The Norwegian County Road 420 runs through the village heading north to the village of Rød and onwards to the island of Hisøya to the north. Engene Church is located in Nedenes.The county of Agder was named Nedenes amt from the 1600s until 1919. This name was chosen because the Nedenes village was once a large, medieval farm and later was the seat of the county officials.

Bråstad Station (Norwegian: Bråstad stoppested) is a railway station at Bråstad in Arendal, Norway. Located on the Arendal Line it is served by Go-Ahead Norge. The station was opened as part of Arendal–Åmli Line on 23 November 1908 and originally consisted of a station building designed by Paul Armin Due, a guard house and a loading spur. The station was called Braastad until 1921 and remained staffed until 1928. Since the 1980s, the station has consisted of a shed and platform.

The 10-square-kilometre (3.9 sq mi) municipality existed from 1881 until 1992 when it was merged into the municipality of Arendal in what is now Agder county. At the time of its dissolution, it was the smallest municipality in the whole county. The municipality encompassed the islands of Hisøya, Gjervoldsøy, Havsøya, Ærøya, Store Torungen, Lille Torungen, and several other small, unpopulated islands. The administrative centre was the village of Kolbjørnsvik on Hisøya island.Hisøy Church was the main church for the municipality, located in the village of His in the central part of Hisøya.

It is one of the churches for the Hisøy parish which is part of the Arendal prosti (deanery) in the Diocese of Agder og Telemark. The white, wooden, empire style church was built in a cruciform design in 1849 using plans drawn up by the architect Gustav Adolph Lammers. The church seats about 500 people. From 1881 until 1992 it was the main church for Hisøy municipality.
