Ovens Auditorium

Bojangles Coliseum (originally Charlotte Coliseum and formerly Independence Arena and Cricket Arena) is an 8,600-seat multi-purpose arena located in Charlotte, North Carolina. It is operated by the Charlotte Regional Visitors Authority, which also oversees nearby Ovens Auditorium and the uptown Charlotte Convention Center. The naming-rights sponsor is the Bojangles restaurant chain. The building's signature domed roof is made of tin instead of steel or iron. The dome spans 332 feet in diameter and rises to 112 feet tall.

The Chantilly Neighborhood is located between the Elizabeth and Plaza-Midwood neighborhoods, in Charlotte, North Carolina. The neighborhood was established in 1913, with later construction of many homes through the mid-1940s. Additional streets were added in the 1950s. Neighborhood boundaries consist of Independence Boulevard (NC Hwy 74) to the northeast, CSX Railroad Tracks to the west and south, and Briar Creek to the east. Chantilly is positioned adjacent to the northeast of Elizabeth, and south of Plaza-Midwood business district, featuring art galleries, funky stores, and restaurants. Chantilly contains a seven-acre public park called Chantilly Park. Maintained by Mecklenburg County, Chantilly Park is accessed at the southern end of Wyanoke Avenue in the southeastern portion of the neighborhood.

Grier Heights is a historically Black neighborhood in Charlotte, North Carolina. It was founded around the 1890s, originally called Grier Town, when a former slave Sam Billings bought 100 acres of land in the land.

Billingsville School is a historic Rosenwald School building located in the Grier Heights community of Charlotte, Mecklenburg County, North Carolina. It was built in 1927 as a school for African-American students. It is a one-story, hip-roofed school building in the Bungalow and American Craftsman style with a brick veneer, symmetrical facade, and a steeply pitched, front gable porch. A small, flat-roofed, brick addition was built in 1949.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1999.

The 108th Training Command (Initial Entry Training) is a United States Army Reserve unit headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina. At its activation, the unit was designated as the 108th Airborne Division, but in 1952 was redesignated the 108th Infantry Division. In 1956, the division was again reorganized, this time to the designation as the 108th Division (Institutional Training). Under the U.S. Army Reserve Transformation of 2005, the 108th was reorganized to is current structure as the 108th Training Command (Initial Entry Training (IET)). The command is currently one of the largest in the Army Reserve, commanding and coordinating 9,000 soldiers. The 108th Training Command (IET) is a subordinate unit in the United States Army Reserve (USAR) which is a federal reserve force of the United States Army. Together, the USAR and the Army National Guard (ARNG) constitute the Reserve Components (RC) of the United States Army. Over its 75-year history, the 108th Division frequently has been called upon to pilot several new missions for the Army and Army Reserve. Over the years, the division has played an important role in pioneering and developing several training methods and policies still in use today.

The Mint Museum, also referred to as The Mint Museums, is a cultural institution comprising two museums, located in Charlotte, North Carolina. The Mint Museum Randolph and Mint Museum Uptown, together these two locations have hundreds of collections showcasing art and design from around the globe. In 2018, The Mint Museum announced Todd A. Herman, PhD, former Executive Director at The Arkansas Arts Center, as the new president and CEO. Bruce LaRowe, former Executive Director of Children's Theatre of Charlotte, was the Interim CEO on June 21, 2017. He assumed the role after the end of Dr. Kathleen V. Jameson's presidency in 2017.

Fritz Seifart House is a historic home located at Charlotte, Mecklenburg County, North Carolina. It was built in 1938, and is a Tudor Revival style dwelling of ashlar granite with stonework and patterned brick accents and multiple, stuccoed gables embellished with half-timbering. It has an irregular massing of one and two story sections with a one-story, rear service wing. It features a semi-hexagonal, polygonal-roofed entry tower and massive, stone, exterior chimney.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2006.

Midwood High School is a non-traditional high school in its namesake neighborhood of Charlotte, North Carolina. The school acts as a transition program for ninth graders who struggled to meet benchmarks in eighth grade into a high school environment.

Plaza-Midwood is a neighborhood located approximately one mile to the northeast of Uptown in Charlotte, North Carolina. The neighborhood is roughly bound by Hawthorne Lane to the west, The Plaza to the north, Briar Creek Road and the Charlotte Country Club to the east and Central Avenue to the south.Locally known as one of Charlotte's most diverse and eclectic neighborhoods, it is filled with art galleries, funky stores, and restaurants. Just south of Central Avenue in the Plaza-Midwood neighborhood is the 19 acre Veterans Park.

Sheffield Park is an 8-acre urban park at 1300 Tarrington Avenue in the 1950's-early 1960's era established Neighborhood of Eastway Park/Sheffield Park Neighborhood of Charlotte, North Carolina. It features a playground, a picnic shelter, and one court for each of tennis and basketball.Sheffield Park is adjacent to Evergreen Cemetery, and Evergreen Nature Preserve. Together these three parcels of Mecklenburg County and City of Charlotte owned land provide over 100 acres of woodlands within minutes of uptown Charlotte.

Charlotte Islamic Academy (C.I.Academy) was the first Islamic institution established in Charlotte, North Carolina. The school opened in 1998 at the site of the Charlotte Islamic Center.After the September 11, 2001 attacks the school received threatening phone calls, forcing it to close for a week.In 2004, the school moved to a building owned by a local Presbyterian church after disagreements with the Islamic Center over control of religious education. There was some controversy amongst Presbyterians when Christian symbols were removed or covered, with the permission of the church.After the re-merger, the board of the new school changed its name to Charlotte Islamic Academy.
