Church of St Peter ad Vincula, Colemore

Colemore is a village and former civil parish, now in the parish of Colemore and Priors Dean, in the East Hampshire district, in the county of Hampshire, England. It is in the Hampshire Downs about 5 miles (8 km) northwest of Petersfield. In 1931 the parish had a population of 72. On 1 April 1932 the parish was abolished and merged with Priors Dean to form "Colemore and Priors Dean".Colemore is a largely abandoned village. There were houses southwest of the parish church and southeast of manor farm. The land where they stood is now a Scheduled Ancient Monument.Manor Farmhouse is an early 17th-century brick house, altered in the middle of the 19th century.The earliest parts of the former Church of England parish church of St Peter ad Vincula ("St Peter in Chains") are 11th-century. It is a Grade II* listed building. It is now redundant and in the care of the Churches Conservation Trust.The brothers John Greaves (1602–52, mathematician), Edward Greaves (1608–80, physician) and Thomas Greaves (1612–76, orientalist) were all sons of a rector of the parish and born in the village. A later orientalist, Richard Pococke (1704–65), was also the son of a rector of the parish.

Tisted was a railway station on the Meon Valley line which served the village of East Tisted. It opened in 1903 and closed in 1955. The main station building, designed by T. P. Figgis, is now a private residence.

East Tisted () is a village and civil parish in the East Hampshire district of Hampshire, England. It is 4.8 miles (7.7 km) south of Alton on the A32 road. The village lies 50 miles south-west of London, 14 miles east of the city of Winchester, 3.5 miles north-east of the village of West Tisted, 2.5 miles west of the village of Selborne, and 1.5 miles west of the village of Newton Valence. It has a population of about 200, residing in about 100 households.

Rotherfield Park is a country house and estate located in East Tisted, East Hampshire in England. The park originated as a medieval hunting park, which may have been predated by a settlement and was later in the 18th century turned into pleasure grounds. The land owned by the park stretches across much of East Hampshire and includes fields in Colemore, Priors Dean, East Tisted and other parishes. In 1815–21 large changes were made to the older estate house; the designs were made by architect Joseph T. Parkinson and is a Grade I listed building.

Goleigh Hill is one of the highest points in the county of Hampshire, England. It is part of the Hampshire Downs and reaches a height of 220 metres (720 ft) above sea level. Goleigh Hill rises about 2.5 kilometres west of the village of Empshott in Hampshire and is one of the East Hampshire Hangers. The top of the hill is open. Wooded areas on its flanks included Goleigh and Lye Woods to the west and Abbot's Copse to the east. Goleigh Farm lies on the northwestern slope of the hill with Goleigh Manor in the valley below it. There is a trig point at the summit.

Newton Valence is a village and civil parish in the East Hampshire district of Hampshire, England. It is 4.4 miles (7.1 km) south of Alton, just off the A32 road. The nearest railway station is Liss, 4.5 miles (7.3 km) southeast of the village, although the station at Alton is a similar distance to the north. The village sits high in the westernmost chalk hills of the South Downs: maximum elevation 191 metres (627 feet) above sea level. Much of the surrounding landscape is within the East Hampshire Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Farming is the most obvious economic activity. Arable farming (mainly wheat, maize and oil-seed rape) and sheep-grazing predominate.

Froxfield and Privett is a civil parish in East Hampshire, England, about 3 miles (5 km) northwest of Petersfield. The settlements in the parish are the villages of Froxfield Green, Privett and High Cross, and several hamlets including Bailey Green, Filmore Hill, Stoner Hill and Warren Corner. The population of the parish taken at the 2021 census was 929.The parish is on high ground, rising to over 800 feet (240 m) above sea level in the north, and separated from Petersfield by the steep slope of Stoner Hill. The western boundary of the parish follows the A32 Gosport-Alton road, and in the southwest corner the boundary follows the A272 Winchester-Petersfield road.A civil parish named Froxfield was created in the 19th century, and had an area (before it was enlarged to include Privett) of 4,909 acres (1,987 ha). The Basing Park estate lies in the north-west.Privett was anciently part of West Meon manor, and its church a chapelry of the church at West Meon. In the 19th century it became a civil parish, with an area of about 1,279 acres (518 ha). In 1932, the parish was abolished to enlarge Froxfield parish; its population had been recorded as 172 in 1931.In the 2010s, the name of the parish changed from Froxfield to Froxfield and Privett. In May 2013, East Hampshire District Council approved the same change of name for the parish council.

Priors Dean is a hamlet in the Hampshire Downs about 3 miles (5 km) west of Liss and about 4 miles (6.4 km) north of Petersfield, Hampshire, England. It is a deserted medieval village first mentioned in the 1100s. Since 1932 it and Colemore have been in a single civil parish of Colemore and Priors Dean. The nearest railway station is at Liss.

Farringdon Halt was an intermediate station on the Meon Valley line which ran from Alton to Fareham, England during the 20th century. A goods yard for loading agricultural produce was already sited there, and in 1930 a short wooden platform of one coach-length was built to serve the village. It opened on 1 May 1931, and from 1 May 1932 until 8 July 1934 was named Faringdon Platform, before reverting to the original name of Farringdon Halt.

High Cross is a village in the East Hampshire district of Hampshire, England. It lies in Froxfield and Privett parish, about 3 miles (5 km) north-west of Petersfield, north of the A272 road. The nearest railway station is 2.7 miles (4.3 km) south of the village, at Petersfield. St Peter's church was built in 1862. Today the parish is part of the Steep and Froxfield with Privett benefice, a group of four rural parishes.Amenities in the village include Froxfield village hall, Froxfield pre-school and primary school, and a shop with post office.

Farringdon is a village in the East Hampshire district of Hampshire in England. The village is 2.8 miles (4.5 km) south of Alton, on the A32 road, close to a source of the River Wey. The village has two parts, the larger being Upper Farringdon. Lower Farringdon is on the Alton to Gosport road, the A32. The 2001 census predicted a population for Farringdon Parish by 2006 of 495 increasing to 664 at the 2011 Census . The northern of the River Wey's two sources rises in countryside close to Farringdon (Grid Reference: SU707394).

Hawkley Warren (grid reference SU730284) is a woodland on the northeast-facing Wealden Edge, near the village of Hawkley, three miles north of Petersfield in Hampshire. The site is situated in a deep chalk combe. The site is owned by Hampshire County Council and managed as a nature reserve jointly by the council and Hampshire and Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust. The woodland glades are kept open by coppicing.
