Heshmatiyeh Prison (Persian: زندان حشمتیه Zendān Heshmatiyeh) is a prison in Iran, located on a Revolutionary Guards (IRGC) base, in the North-East of Tehran. It is noted for its political prisoners' wing. In 2011 it was suggested that Iranian opposition leaders Mir Hossein Mousavi, Mehdi Karroubi and their wives Zahra Rahnavard and Fatemeh Karroubi were being detained in the prison after abduction by security forces.

The Ministry of Intelligence of the Islamic Republic of Iran (Persian: وزارت اطّلاعات جمهوری اسلامی ایران, romanized: Vezarat-e Ettela'at Jomhuri-ye Eslami-ye Iran) is the primary intelligence agency of the Islamic Republic of Iran and a member of the Iran Intelligence Community. The ministry is one of the three "sovereign" ministerial bodies of Iran due to nature of its work at home and abroad.

The Hosseinieh Ershad or Hosseiniyeh Ershad (Persian: حسینیه ارشاد) is a non-traditionalist religious institute established by Nasser Minachi in Tehran, Iran. It was closed for a time by the Pahlavi government in 1972. The institute is housed in a large, domed hall, and is used for lectures on history, culture, society, and religion. The facility also includes a large public library, where most of its users are college students. Ali Shariati held his anti-Pahlavi speeches here before the revolution. Mir-Hossein Mousavi (under the pseudonym Hossein Rah'jo) and Zahra Rahnavard exhibited artwork here during the same period.

The National Library and Archives of Iran (NLAI) or National Library of the Islamic Republic of Iran is located in Tehran, Iran, with twelve branches across the country. The NLAI is an educational, research, scientific, and service institute authorized by the Islamic Consultative Assembly. Its president is appointed by the President of Iran. The NLAI is the largest library in the Middle East and includes more than fifteen-million items in its collections.

The Housing Foundation of Islamic Revolution (Persian: بنیاد مسکن انقلاب اسلامی) was established on April 10, 1979, by the order of Ruhollah Khomeini, the founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran, to provide housing for the deprived and to be responsible for the development of the country's villages and the construction of urban housing units within the policies and programs of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
