Sanborn Field is an agricultural experiment field, located on the University of Missouri campus in Columbia, Missouri. Established in 1888, it was the first facility in the United States intended to measure erosion and run-off for differing crops and agricultural practices. Work at Sanborn Field was influential in the establishment of soil conservation policy in the United States. The field was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1964.The field is currently managed as part of the Agricultural Extension Station under the university's School of Natural Resources.

The College of Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources (CAFNR) at the University of Missouri is a teaching and research institution that includes 15 degree programs and six academic/research divisions. Areas of study range from animal and plant sciences to biochemistry, agribusiness management, science and agricultural journalism, animal science, fisheries and wildlife, and atmospheric science. In 2018, there were more than 2,428 undergraduate and 384 graduate students studying in CAFNR. CAFNR has the highest sponsored research expenditures on the MU campus ($31,873,581 in 2010). The college is ranked among the Top 15 programs in the world for animal and plant science research (Thomson Reuters). CAFNR operates the Agricultural Experiment Station, a network of several research centers around Missouri designed to meet the regional research and demonstration needs of agricultural producers and natural resource managers. CAFNR's research efforts have regional and international economic impact. Projects include a drought simulator that allows scientists to develop drought tolerant crops, an inexpensive genetic tool to judge the economic value of cattle, and a study to determine the connection between eating breakfast and obesity. The Food and Agricultural Policy Research Institute (FAPRI), part of the Division of Applied Social Sciences, conducts research in national and global agricultural policy. Its researchers regularly testify before Congress. CAFNR's marketing tag line is Collaborating for the Greater Good, a recognition of its long culture of interdisciplinary partnerships that result in discoveries that could not be easily obtained by researchers in a single area.

Laws Observatory is the name of three separate astronomical observatories owned and operated by University of Missouri from 1880 to the present. Named after former University President Samuel Laws, it is located in Columbia, Missouri (USA).

The Brewer Fieldhouse was a multi-purpose arena located in Columbia, Missouri, and home to the University of Missouri Tigers basketball team prior to the Hearnes Center opening in 1972. Named after Chester Brewer, the building opened in 1929 to expand on the existing 500-seat Rothwell Gymnasium. Both buildings were converted into the Student Recreation Complex, which was renovated in 1987 and again in 2005.

Ellis Fischel Cancer Center is a member of University of Missouri Health Care in Columbia, Missouri. It was the first free-standing cancer center west of the Mississippi River and the second such institution of its kind in the United States. The center is now connected to University of Missouri Hospital at 1 Hospital Drive. The former Ellis Fischel Cancer Center was located on Business Loop 70 West.

The College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Missouri is a school of veterinary medicine in Columbia, Missouri. It is one of only 30 veterinary colleges in the United States accredited by the American Veterinary Medical Association and only one in Missouri. In 2019 U.S. News & World Report ranked the school 19th best veterinary school in the United States.

The Sinclair School of Nursing is a nursing school affiliated with the University of Missouri and University of Missouri Health Care. First established in 1920, the program is fully accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education. In 2014, CollegeAtlas.org ranked it as the top school of nursing in the nation.

The College of Human Environmental Sciences was a school of environmental science, and one of the major academic divisions of the University of Missouri in Columbia, Missouri. It awarded undergraduate and graduate degrees and was the only human environmental science college in Missouri. On February 8, 2021, the University of Missouri announced the academic restructuring of the College of Human Environmental Sciences that, effective August 1, 2021, all departments from the college will merge with other schools and colleges across the campus.

University Hospital is located in Columbia, Missouri. It has the only Level I trauma center and helicopter service in Mid-Missouri, and the only burn intensive care unit in the region. It also has an accredited chest pain center cardiology program and a multidisciplinary digestive disease program. The hospital is affiliated with the University of Missouri and the University of Missouri School of Medicine.

The University of Missouri School of Medicine (also called University of Missouri-Columbia School of Medicine or MU School of Medicine) is located in the southern part of the University of Missouri campus in Columbia, Missouri. It was the first publicly supported medical school west of the Mississippi River.

A.P. Green Chapel is a nondenominational chapel serving the University of Missouri in Columbia. Today it is available for wedding ceremonies, initiation ceremonies and other such events through the Missouri Student Union.
