The Oakwood–Chimborazo Historic District is a national historic district of 434 acres (176 ha) located in Richmond, Virginia. It includes 1,284 contributing buildings, three contributing structures, five contributing objects and four contributing sites. It includes work by architect D. Wiley Anderson. The predominantly residential area contains a significant collection of late-19th and early-20th century, brick and frame dwellings that display an eclectic mixture of Late Victorian, Queen Anne, and Colonial Revival styles.It was listed on the Virginia Landmarks Register on September 8, 2004, and the National Register of Historic Places on March 18, 2005.

Armstrong High School, part of the Richmond Public Schools, is a high school located in Richmond, Virginia, United States, with grades 9–12. The school was founded in 1867 as the Richmond Normal and High School by the Freedmen's Bureau and was eventually incorporated into the Richmond school system in 1876. The school's namesake is former Union General Samuel Chapman Armstrong, a white commander of a U.S. Colored Troops (USCT) regiment during the American Civil War. General Armstrong later founded Hampton Institute, a historically black college now known as Hampton University in Hampton, Virginia. Armstrong was a mentor of Booker T. Washington.

Bon Secours Richmond Community Hospital is a 96-bed, short-term acute care, non-profit hospital in Richmond, Virginia. It is owned and operated by Bon Secours, part of Bon Secours Mercy Health.

Nathaniel Bacon School is a historic school building located in Richmond, Virginia. The structure was built in 1914 based on a design by Charles M. Robinson, supervising architect, and William L. Carneal, architect. The Colonial Revival building is a 2+1⁄2-story brick structure located in Richmond's Oakwood/Chimborazo Historic District. The school was "a focal point of the Chimborazo neighborhood." The school was named for Nathaniel Bacon, the leader of Bacon's Rebellion. It served as an elementary school in the Richmond Public Schools from the time of its opening in 1915. In 1958, it was converted for use as a school for African-American students. In 1971, it was converted into a junior high school and renamed the East End Junior High School Annex. The building ceased operating as a school in the 1980s. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1992.

Fourth Baptist Church is a historic African-American Baptist church located in Richmond, Virginia. It was built in 1884, and is a three-story, Greek Revival style stuccoed brick structure. It features a distyle portico in antis elevated on a high podium. It consists of two unfluted Doric order columns and paired pilasters supporting a Doric entablature. Attached to the church is a Sunday School building erected in 1964.The addition was designed by Ethel Bailey Furman (1893-1976), the first Black woman to practice architecture in the Commonwealth of Virginia.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979. A former pastor was Richmond mayor Leonidas B. Young, II, who was convicted of defrauding the church at one point during his career.
