Richmond National Cemetery is a United States National Cemetery three miles (4.8 km) east of Richmond in Henrico County, Virginia. Administered by the United States Department of Veterans Affairs, it encompasses 9.7 acres (3.9 ha), and as of 2021 had more than 11,000 interments. It is closed to new interments. Richmond National Cemetery was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1995.

It includes 1,284 contributing buildings, three contributing structures, five contributing objects and four contributing sites. It includes work by architect D. Wiley Anderson. The predominantly residential area contains a significant collection of late-19th and early-20th century, brick and frame dwellings that display an eclectic mixture of Late Victorian, Queen Anne, and Colonial Revival styles.It was listed on the Virginia Landmarks Register on September 8, 2004, and the National Register of Historic Places on March 18, 2005.

The Robert Fulton School is a historic school building at 1000-1012 Carlisle Avenue in the Fulton Hill neighborhood of Richmond, Virginia. It is a two-story T-shaped structure, built with a frame of concrete and steel and finished in brick. It was built in 1916 to a design by William Leigh Carneal, a prominent Virginia architect, as part of a school construction program instituted by longtime superintendent J.A.C. Chandler. It served as a school until 1979, at first as a segregated white school, and then as a school for African-Americans as the Fulton Hill area became increasingly black. It was integrated in 1969.The school was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2017. It has been converted into residences.

Nathaniel Bacon School is a historic school building located in Richmond, Virginia. The structure was built in 1914 based on a design by Charles M. Robinson, supervising architect, and William L. Carneal, architect. The Colonial Revival building is a 2+1⁄2-story brick structure located in Richmond's Oakwood/Chimborazo Historic District. The school was "a focal point of the Chimborazo neighborhood." The school was named for Nathaniel Bacon, the leader of Bacon's Rebellion. It served as an elementary school in the Richmond Public Schools from the time of its opening in 1915. In 1958, it was converted for use as a school for African-American students. In 1971, it was converted into a junior high school and renamed the East End Junior High School Annex. The building ceased operating as a school in the 1980s. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1992.

The Clarke–Palmore House, also known as Clarke Home, was built as a brick farmhouse in 1819 and expanded in 1855. Its first floor level, built in 1819, is described as being American bond brickwork of 3 to 5 stretcher courses between each header course. Its upper level, built in 1855, is of American bond with 6 to 7 stretcher courses between each header course.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2004.The house and pumphouse on its property are "a reminder of Henrico County's agricultural past." They are owned by Henrico County and open to the public for events and by appointment as a 1930s period farmhouse.
