Laxfield is a small ancient village in northern Suffolk, England. It is located at a distinct bend in today's B1117 road.

Chippenhall Green is a 16.3-hectare (40-acre) biological Site of Special Scientific Interest west of Halesworth in Suffolk, England.This unimproved grassland on calcareous clay soil has grasses including meadow foxtail, sweet vernal grass and red fescue. Diverse flowering plants include cuckoo flowers and a large population of green-winged orchids.There is access from roads which go through the site.

Badingham is a civil parish in the East Suffolk district of eastern England, in the county of Suffolk. It is situated 21.8 miles (35.1 kilometres) north east of Ipswich, 35 miles (56 km) away from Norwich and 13 miles (21 km) away from the coast. With the road "A1120" slicing through the middle of the parish. Badingham's name is Anglo-Saxon and means "the farmstead of Bada’s people". Badingham contains a significant number of farms, sparse amount of housing, numerous B&Bs as well as St. John's Church.

Dennington is a village and civil parish in the English county of Suffolk. It is 2 miles (3.2 km) north of Framlingham and 15 miles (24 km) north-east of Ipswich in the east of the county. It lies along the A1120 road around 8 miles (13 km) west of the road's junction with the main A12 road in Yoxford. At the 2011 census Dennington had a population of 578. The parish church is dedicated to St Mary. The village has a primary school, village hall and pub.There is a limited public school bus service linking Dennington to Framlingham and Ipswich. The nearest railway station is at Darsham with an hourly service to either Ipswich or Lowestoft.

Hulver Street, also known simply as Hulver, is a hamlet near the market town of Beccles, in the civil parish of Henstead with Hulver Street, in the East Suffolk district, in the county of Suffolk, England. Until 2019 it was in Waveney district. It borders the River Hundred to the north and north-west, Mutford to the north, Henstead to the east, Sotterley to the south, and Ellough to the north-east. The majority of its housing is situated along the B1127 road that connects to the A146 in North Cove and the A12 in Wrentham. Hulver lacks most major public amenities. However, it does have a village hall. The hall hosts birthday parties and celebrations alongside activities such as short mat bowls and yoga classes.

Wilby railway station was located approximately two-thirds of a mile (1.1 km) north-east of Wilby, Suffolk. It was on the Mid-Suffolk Light Railway between Stradbroke and the terminus at Laxfield. It opened on 29 September 1908, and closed on 28 July 1952, 44 years after it had opened for passenger traffic.

Metfield is a village in Suffolk, England, but its name is derived from Medefeld or 'Meadow feld' (see Concise Oxford Dictionary of English Place Names). It is situated close to the border with Norfolk, being approximately 5 miles south east of Harleston and 7 miles north west of Halesworth. The population was estimated to be 370 in 1996, increasing to 388 at the 2011 Census. The parish church is the 13th-century church of St. John the Baptist, which was extensively remodelled in the 15th century. St. John the Baptist has a sister parish in Medfield, Massachusetts in the United States, the Church of the Advent. The town is named after Metfield. The Village has had no public house since 2007, when the only pub, The Duke William, closed. In May 2013 the pub re-opened as a successful Tea Room. During early 2014, the Tea Rooms expanded into a Bed and Breakfast along with a shop. Currently (2021) only B&B is available. During World War II an airfield was built just outside Metfield for use by the USAAF 491st Bomb Group and the 353d Fighter Group. On 15 July 1944 a bomb dump blew up, detonating over 1,000 tons of bombs and explosive, killing five men and wrecking five B-24 bombers. Metfield Meadow is a 1.3-hectare (3.2-acre) biological Site of Special Scientific Interest west of Halesworth in Suffolk. It is owned and managed by Suffolk Wildlife Trust under the name Winks Meadow.This meadow on a disused airfield is unimproved grassland, with a rich variety of flora on chalky boulder clay. There are many green-winged orchids, cowslips and pepper saxifrages. The meadow is grazed by cattle or cut for hay to maintain the diversity of the wild flowers.There is access to the site from Nunn's Lane.
