Chli Windgällen

Seewlisee (or Seewli) is a lake in Uri, Switzerland at an elevation of 2028 m. Its surface area is 9 ha (22 acres). The lake lies at the foot of the Gross Windgällen. The lake can be reached by foot in 2–3 hours from the cable car Silenen-Chilcherbergen.

The Gross Windgällen is a 3,187 m high mountain in the Glarus Alps, overlooking the valley of the Reuss in the canton of Uri. The name Gross Windgällen derives from Gälle or gellen, meaning as much as wailing, shrilling or whistling.

Erstfeld railway station (German: Bahnhof Erstfeld) is a railway station in the Swiss canton of Uri and municipality of Erstfeld. The station is situated on the original line of the Gotthard railway, at the foot of the ramp up to the Gotthard Tunnel. The original line, and the newer line through the Gotthard Base Tunnel meet at a junction some 1.5 kilometres (0.93 mi) north of, and downhill from, Erstfield station. Most trains on the Gotthard route now use the base tunnel and therefore do not pass through the station.A motive power depot at Erstfeld station houses rolling stock needed for the Gotthard route, and especially for banking service. A Ce 6/8 "crocodile" serves as a memorial for the legendary Gotthard locomotives.

Spiringen is a village and a municipality in the canton of Uri in Switzerland. The municipality comprises two disjoint areas, separated by the municipality of Unterschächen and the Klausen Pass. The western area includes the village of Spiringen in the Schächen Valley, whilst the eastern area includes the Urner Boden alp above Linthal and the canton of Glarus.

The Oberalpstock or Piz Tgietschen is a mountain in the Glarus Alps between the cantons of Uri and Graubünden. Its massif separates the valleys of Maderanertal (Uri) and Surselva near Sedrun (Graubündnen). The Oberalpstock is the highest summit of the Glarus Alps west of the Tödi, and also the highest mountain in the canton of Uri east of the Reuss.
