Witenalpstock

The Chrüzli Pass (2,346 m (7,697 ft), Swiss German for Small Cross (as a diminutive) Pass) is a historic high mountain pass of the Glarus Alps, located on the border between the Swiss cantons of Uri and Graubünden (GR). It is also known as the Kreuzli Pass or Chrüxli Pass. It connects the Maderanertal (UR) and the Tujetsch (e.g. Sedrun) in Surselva (GR). It is one of the lowest passes between the two cantons and is traversed by a trail. The pass is overlooked by the Witenalpstock and the Chrüzlistock. Below the Chrüzlipass, or more precisely between it and the Chrüzlistock, runs the Gotthard Base Tunnel.

The Chrüzlistock is a mountain of the Glarus Alps, located north of Sedrun on the border between the Swiss canton of Graubünden and Uri. The southern unnamed summit has an elevation of 2,717 metres (8,914 ft) and the northern summit, which is the named peak and is located on the cantonal border, has an elevation of 2,709 metres (8,888 ft). It derives its name from the historic pass at its northeastern hillside, the Chrüzlipass. The Chrüzlistock is, along with Piz Vatgira and Pizzo dell'Uomo, one of the main peaks traversed by the Gotthard Base Tunnel. The tunnel runs below the summit Chrüzlistock, or more precisely, just east of it.

The Oberalpstock or Piz Tgietschen is a mountain in the Glarus Alps between the cantons of Uri and Graubünden. Its massif separates the valleys of Maderanertal (Uri) and Surselva near Sedrun (Graubündnen). The Oberalpstock is the highest summit of the Glarus Alps west of the Tödi, and also the highest mountain in the canton of Uri east of the Reuss.

Piz Ault is a mountain of the Glarus Alps, located south of the Oberalpstock in Switzerland. Three ridges lead to the peak with a fourth one not very distinct to the south. The frontier between the Canton of Uri and the Canton of Graubünden lies on the eastern and the northern ridge, making it a three-quarter Graubünden mountain. The municipalities are Disentis and Sedrun on the south and Silenen to the northeast. There is no path leading onto the peak for hikers. In winter time the area is accessible by a T-Bar ski lift which reaches up to some 200 meters under its peak in its southwestern face. The ski resort is accessible from Disentis, lying south of Piz Ault in the State (Canton) of Graubünden.

Piz Nair (3,059 m) is a mountain of the Glarus Alps, located on the border between the Swiss cantons of Uri and Graubünden. Together with Piz Giuv (3,096 m) on the west, it overlooks the end of the Etzli valley in the canton of Uri. The south-west and the south-east sides overlook respectively the small valleys of Val Giuv and Val Milà, both converging to the Rhine valley west of Sedrun (Graubünden). The mountain is politically divided between the municipalities of Silenen (Uri) and Tujetsch (Graubünden). On the northern side of Piz Nair lies a small glacier, the Fellelifirn. Large lateral moraines can be seen below the glacier.

Tujetsch (Romansh pronunciation: [ˈtujətʃ] ; German: Tavetsch) is a municipality in the Surselva Region in the canton of Graubünden in Switzerland. It is the westernmost municipality of the canton, connected to Urseren (canton of Uri) by the Oberalp Pass.

Rueras railway station (German: Bahnhof Rueras) is a railway station in the municipality of Tujetsch, in the Swiss canton of Grisons. It is an intermediate stop on the 1,000 mm (3 ft 3+3⁄8 in) gauge Furka Oberalp line of the Matterhorn Gotthard Bahn.

Sedrun railway station is a metre gauge railway station serving the village of Sedrun, in the Canton of Graubünden, Switzerland. The station is at the eastern end of the Oberalp Pass. It forms part of the Furka Oberalp Bahn (FO), which connects Brig in Valais, via Andermatt in Uri, with Göschenen, Uri, and, via the Oberalp Pass, with Sedrun and Disentis/Mustér, Graubünden. Since 1 January 2003 (2003-01-01), the FO has been owned and operated by the Matterhorn Gotthard Bahn (MGB), following a merger between the FO and the Brig-Visp-Zermatt railway (BVZ).

Piz Giuv (or Schattig Wichel) is a mountain of the Glarus Alps, located on the border between the cantons of Uri and Graubünden. At 3,096 metres above sea level, it is the highest mountain of the Glarus Alps lying west of the Oberalpstock. Its summit is situated between three valleys: the Fellital and Etzlital on the north side and the Val Giuv (Surselva) on the south side. The slightly lower Piz Nair lies on its east side

Porta Alpina (from Romansh: Alpine Gate) was a proposed railway station to be located in the middle of the Gotthard Base Tunnel, serving the Alpine village of Sedrun in Switzerland. It was intended to promote tourism and the economy in the region of Graubünden. The project was put on hold as uneconomical in 2007, and then indefinitely shelved in 2012. The current multifunction station is only used for emergency stops and maintenance. The portal lies 800 m (2,600 ft) above the tunnel.

Piz Cavardiras (or Brichlig) is a 2,964 metres high mountain in the Glarus Alps, located on the border between the cantons of Uri and Graubünden. The Cavardiras hut, owned by the Swiss Alpine Club, lies near the pass of Cavardiras on the north side.

Dieni railway station (German: Bahnhof Dieni) is a railway station in the municipality of Tujetsch, in the Swiss canton of Grisons. It is an intermediate stop on the 1,000 mm (3 ft 3+3⁄8 in) gauge Furka Oberalp line of the Matterhorn Gotthard Bahn.
