Dudelange Castle

Mont St. Jean (Luxembourgish: Gehaansbierg, German: Johannisberg) is a hill, castle, and religious site in the commune of Dudelange, in southern Luxembourg. The summit is at 417 metres (1,368 ft). Mont St. Jean has probably been a point of religious interest since pre-Christian times. The annual pilgrimage to St. John's Chapel, on the summit, on St. John's Eve (23 June) was accompanied in the Middle Ages by ecstatic dancing. The ritualistic dance, a surviving example of which is found at Echternach, was supposedly performed to ward off St. Vitus Dance, but is possibly a relic of pagan times. A castle and commandery of the Order of St. John were built at Mont St. Jean in the sixteenth century; the site belonged to the von Isenburg family at this time. In 1937, Stations of the Cross were constructed, which are used on St. John's Eve to this day.

Budersberg (Luxembourgish: Butschebuerg) is a small town in the commune of Dudelange, in southern Luxembourg. As of 2005, the town has a population of 350.

Tétange (Luxembourgish: Téiteng, German: Tetingen) is a town in the commune of Kayl, in south-western Luxembourg. As of 2001, the town has a population of 2,813. Schlager singer Camillo Felgen and Olympic cyclist Roger Thull were born here.

Noertzange railway station (Luxembourgish: Gare Näerzeng, French: Gare de Noertzange, German: Bahnhof Nörtzingen) is a railway station serving Noertzange, in southern Luxembourg. It is operated by Chemins de Fer Luxembourgeois, the state-owned railway company. The station is situated on Line 60, which connects Luxembourg City to the Red Lands of the south of the country. After Noertzange, the main line continues towards Niederkorn, whilst a branch line leads towards Rumelange, to the south, via Kayl.

Kayl (Luxembourgish: Keel [ˈkeːl] or (locally) Käl [ˈkɛːl]) is a commune and town in south-western Luxembourg. It is part of the canton of Esch-sur-Alzette. As of 2001, the town of Kayl, which lies in the centre of the commune, has a population of 4,237. Other towns within the commune include Tétange. The first surviving written reference to 'Keyle' dates from 1235. Since the thirteenth century the name of the town has not changed significantly, although more than twenty different spellings have been identified.The town is the location of the Montenegro honorary consulate in Luxembourg.

It is the second station on the branch to the French town of Volmerange-les-Mines. Dudelange-Ville is one of four railway stations in the city.

It is the fourth-most populous commune, with 19,734 inhabitants. Dudelange is situated close to the border with France. As of 2015, the town of Dudelange, which lies in the centre of the commune, has a population of 19,734, making it Luxembourg's third-most populous town. The commune also includes the smaller town of Budersberg, to the north-west. The Mont Saint-Jean, close to Budersberg, hosts the ruins of a medieval castle. In 1794 the French Revolutionary Army committed atrocities against the local population in Dudelange, when they massacred 79 civilians.Dudelange is an important industrial town that grew out of the three villages and a steel mill in 1900. The D in the name of the ARBED steel company, later merged into ArcelorMittal, stood for Dudelange. As well as the Dudelange Radio Tower, an FM radio and television transmitter, it is also the site of the Centre national de l’audiovisuel (CNA), a cultural institute founded in 1989 under the aegis of the Ministry of Culture in order to preserve, promote and exhibit Luxembourg's audiovisual and photographic heritage. The centre hosts a two-screen cinema, a restaurant and a library focused on the visual arts On the 14 February 2017 the Dudelange train collision happened here.

Huncherange (Luxembourgish: Hëncheréng, German: Hüncheringen) is a small town in the commune of Bettembourg, in southern Luxembourg. As of 2005, the town has a population of 591. There is a watermill there, formerly the site of an old castle. According to a story recorded in the nineteenth century, the place is haunted by two women in white. The church is built 1903.
