Van Valkenburgh–Isbister Farm is a historic home and farm complex located at Ghent in Columbia County, New York. The complex is spread over two properties and includes 14 contributing buildings and two contributing structures.

Martin Van Buren National Historic Site is a unit of the United States National Park Service in Columbia County, New York, 1 mile (1.6 km) south of the village of Kinderhook, 125 miles (201 km) north of New York City and 20 miles (32 km) south of Albany. The National Historic Site preserves the Lindenwald estate owned by Martin Van Buren, the eighth president of the United States. Van Buren purchased the 36-room mansion during his presidency in 1839, and it became his home and farm from his leaving office in 1841 until his death in 1862.

The Luykas Van Alen House is an historic Dutch Colonial farmhouse at 2589 New York State Route 9H in the town of Kinderhook, Columbia County, New York. Built about 1737 and enlarged about 1750, it is one of the finest surviving examples of Dutch colonial architecture in upstate New York. It was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1967. It is now an historic house museum operated by the Columbia County Historical Society, and open for tours on weekends from June to October.

The Ichabod Crane Schoolhouse is an historic wooden one-room schoolhouse built in approximately 1850 in the Hudson River valley. Located on NY 9H, about 1 mile (1.6 km) south of Kinderhook village in Columbia County, New York and 2 miles (3.2 km) south of US 9, the schoolhouse is named after author Washington Irving's fictional character, Ichabod Crane in The Legend of Sleepy Hollow.The "Ichabod Crane Schoolhouse" is located on the larger estate property of the Luykas Van Alen House, whose structure and farm are believed to have served as inspiration for the Van Tassel family homestead in Washington Irving's short story The Legend of Sleepy Hollow. Irving was a close friend of Kinderhook native (and U.S. president) Martin Van Buren, a neighbor of the "Van Alen House" and a frequent guest in the town. The house is currently operated by the Columbia County Historical Society as an historic house museum presenting 18th century Dutch Colonial life.

The Ghent station was a former New York Central Railroad station that served the residents of Ghent, New York.

Bartlett House, a historic railroad hotel, restored in 2016 to house a kitchen, bakery, and cafe. It was built about 1870, and is a three-story, five bay by five bay, square, Italianate style brick building on a raised basement. It features a full width front porch at the primary story and decorative cornice. The name BARTLETT HOUSE appears in white lettering between the second and third stories.: 3–4 

Ghent is a census-designated place (CDP) in the town of Ghent in Columbia County, New York, United States. The population of the CDP was 564 at the 2010 census, out of a total town population of 5,402. The community is located northeast of the city of Hudson. Ghent was originally the site of a Mahican Native American village known as Squampamock, Scom-pa-muck or Squampanoc.

Crow Hill, also known as Charles Whiting Residence, is a historic home located at Kinderhook in Columbia County, New York. It was built in 1839 and is a 1+1⁄2-story, nearly square and symmetrical, wood-frame dwelling with clapboard siding in the Greek Revival style. It has a hipped roof with cupola centered over the main hall. It was framed with recycled parts of old barns and perhaps earlier homes. Also on the property is a 19th-century wood well house.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1997.

The Kinderhook Reformed Dutch Church located in Kinderhook, New York, was the sixth Church between Albany, New York and New York City. It was organized in 1712. Its cemetery, in a separate location one mile northwest of the church, contains the grave of President Martin Van Buren.

The Kinderhook Village District is located in the central areas of the village of Kinderhook, New York, United States. It is a 612-acre (248 ha) area covering both developed and undeveloped land centered on US 9. It contains many buildings from the 18th and 19th centuries, some of which were associated with Martin Van Buren, a native of the town who later became President. In 1974 it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Chatham High School is a rural secondary school (grades 9–12) in Chatham, Columbia County, New York. CHS is the sole High School operated by the Chatham Central School District. In 2006, CHS has 520 students in grades 9 to 12. In 2010 the enrollment was 451.
