Cramlington railway station

Beaconhill is a housing estate in Northumberland, in England. It is in the west of Cramlington, north of Newcastle upon Tyne. It is served by a primary school.

Cramlington Learning Village, formerly Cramlington Community High School, is a large high school with academy status in Cramlington, Northumberland, England; it is a comprehensive school of around 2100 students. The school became an 11–18 school in September 2008 as part of a local authority reorganisation of education in the town which saw the former three-tier system, of first, middle and high schools, become a two-tier system of primary and secondary schools. The school takes students aged 11 to 18 years, the latter two school years in the Sixth Form.

Parkside Middle School was a school in Cramlington, United Kingdom from its foundation in 1909 until 2008, when it closed as middle school functions in the town were transferred to Cramlington Learning Village.

Arcot Hall Grasslands and Ponds is the name given to a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) near Cramlington in Northumberland, England, notable as the largest lowland species-rich grassland in North East England. The site is composed of grassland, heath, ponds, and associated damp habitats now rare in Northumberland.

Seaton Valley is a civil parish at the south eastern corner of Northumberland, and northern North Tyneside, consisting of five villages lying between Cramlington, Blyth and Whitley Bay. The largest village is Seaton Delaval, while Seaton Sluice is on the coast; the other three are Seghill, New Hartley, and Seaton Burn (which is in North Tyneside) It takes its name from the stream Seaton Burn, a small river which flows through the area. It was preceded by the Seaton Valley Urban District which existed until 1974, but has different boundaries; the urban district contained Cramlington, but did not contain Seaton Sluice which was then part of Borough of Whitley Bay. Stonelaw County Middle School was a middle school in Cramlington, Northumberland, England, normally referred to as Stonelaw. Operating under the three-tier system in Northumberland, the school had an intake of pupils aged 10–13. The school was closed when Cramlington Learning Village opened in 2008. The school had extended classrooms in the form of a Science Laboratory, an Art Room and a Music and Drama Room, all taught by teachers specialising in that subject. The school also had the use of the Sporting Club fields for PE and Games. The school itself was one block instead of multiple blocks of buildings. The final headmaster before closure was Mr Andrew Youngs and the acting deputy was Mr Doug Moore.

Cramlington is a town and civil parish in Northumberland, England, 6 miles (9.7 kilometres) north of Newcastle upon Tyne, and 10 miles (16 kilometres) north of its city centre. The name suggests a probable founding by the Danes or Anglo-Saxons. The population was 29,405 as of 2011 census data from Northumberland County Council. It sits on the border between Northumberland and North Tyneside with the traffic interchange at Moor Farm, Annitsford, linking the two areas. The area of East Cramlington lies east of the A189, on the B1326 road that connects the town to Seaton Delaval.

Cramlington Aerodrome was a military airfield established in Northumberland during the First World War. It became a civil airfield serving the Tyneside area of north-east England and operated until 1935, when it was replaced by Woolsington Airport, now known as Newcastle International Airport.

Dudley is a large village in North Tyneside, in the county of Tyne and Wear, England. A former mining village and formerly part of Northumberland, it was the site of Annitsford railway station, originally named Dudley. Dudley Colliery was situated in the village from 1856 until its closure in 1977.Former professional football player and coach Bobby Ferguson was born in the village.Robson Green, an English actor, angler, singer-songwriter and presenter, is from the village and grew up there.

Annitsford is a village located in North Tyneside, on the border between Tyne and Wear and Northumberland. The main conurbation of the village falls under the jurisdiction of the Borough of North Tyneside in Tyne and Wear.

Northumberlandia (the "Lady of the North") is a huge land art sculpture in the shape of a reclining female figure, which was completed in 2012, near Cramlington, Northumberland, northern England. It is in the care of Northumberland Wildlife Trust.Made of 1.5 million tonnes of earth from neighbouring Shotton Surface Mine, it is 34 metres (112 feet) high and 400 metres (1,300 feet) long, set in a 19 hectares (47 acres) public park. Its creators claim that it is the largest land sculpture in female form in the world.When constructed, it was intended to be a major tourist attraction, with the developers hoping that it would attract an additional 200,000 visitors a year to Northumberland. It was officially opened by Anne, Princess Royal on 29 August 2012. A day-long Community Opening Event on 20 October 2012 marked the park becoming fully open to the public.

The first station in the area opened in 1860 as Dudley and served Dudley Colliery and the village of Dudley in North Tyneside, England. It was located on the East Coast Main Line to the north of Newcastle upon Tyne. In 1874 it was renamed Dudley Colliery before becoming Annitsford in April 1878. On 8 July 1878 the station was closed and replaced with a second station 352 yards south of the first station. The railway station was located in Dudley but was named after the nearby village of Annitsford, to avoid confusion with another Dudley in the Midlands.
