The Halde Rheinpreußen is a spoil tip in the German city Moers which lies 70 metres (230 ft) above its ambit. It is part of the category Panoramas of the Ruhr Industrial Heritage Trail. In 1963, the spoil tip was heaped up with materials of the pit 5/9, i.e. the mine Zeche Rheinpreußen.In autumn 1999, the artist Otto Piene, co-founder of the ZERO group, presented his idea of a mining lamp memorial called Geleucht for the first time. Between 2005 and 2006, 35 lamp poles were assembled on the spoil tip for red illumination of an area of 8,000 square centimetres (1,200 sq in). In 2007, the circa 28-metre high (92 ft) and 115-tonne (113-long-ton; 127-short-ton) heavy landmark was constructed on the Halde Rheinpreußen.Since the dedication of the Geleucht on 17 September 2007, the mining lamp memorial and the lamp poles are illuminated every night. The stairs to the observation deck are opened on a regular basis.

Moers station

Moers station is located on the Lower Rhine Railway, which was built in 1904 by the Prussian state railways. It lies on the eastern edge of central Moers in the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia on the road to Duisburg-Homberg. The station is now a stop for Regional-Express service RE 44 and Regionalbahn service RB 31. It is classified by Deutsche Bahn as a category 5 station.Behind the station building of 1904 there are the four platform tracks at a 230-metre-long platform and a 239-metre-long platform, both 38 cm high. Opposite the station building on the other side of the station forecourt is the platform of the station of the former Moers District Railway (German: Moerser Kreisbahn), now owned by the Niederrheinische Verkehrsbetriebe (Lower Rhine Transport Operations, NIAG). It is still used for special excursions. Sidings branch at Moers station to NIAG’s workshop and the Vossloh service center in Moers.

Orsoy, Germany

Orsoy is a district of the Lower Rhine town of Rheinberg on the Rhine. The word Orsoy, pronounced Oschau means "horse pasture" (Rossaue). Orsoy itself was in the Middle Ages a powerful fortified town with high walls and four gates. Although much of the fortifications were destroyed in the Second World War, a gate tower and part of the moat remain today giving some indication of the scale of the fortifications. Although the remaining gate was refurbished in 1937.

Homberg/Ruhrort/Baerl (German pronunciation: [ˌhɔmbɛʁkˌʁuːɐ̯ʔɔʁtˈbaːɐ̯l]) is a Stadtbezirk (borough/district) within the city of Duisburg, Germany. The population is 39 725 and the district has an area of 37.1 km² (as of December 31, 2014). It consists of the districts of Alt-Homberg, Hochheide, Baerl and Ruhrort. The municipality was created in 1975 after the local government reform of parts of the left-bank community Rheinkamp-Baerl on the Lower Rhine and the Rhine district of Duisburg-Ruhrort. In the municipality is the largest part of the Duisburg inland port Duisport.
