Sierra de Codés

Valdelavilla is an uninhabited village in the Spanish province of Soria, in the autonomous community of Castile-León. A former municipality, it is located in the region of Tierras Altas and in the judicial district of Soria. It belongs to the municipality of San Pedro Manrique. Valdelavilla gained popularity around 2020, after the release of Spanish series: El Pueblo. The town of Valdelavilla simulates Peñafría, the fictional town where most of the action in the series takes place.

Azuelo is a town and municipality located in the province and autonomous community of Navarre, northern Spain. This town is close to the Codés mountain range, part of which falls within its municipal term.

Cabredo is a Spanish village located in the west of Navarre near the border with Álava, 79 kilometres (49 mi) from Pamplona, the capital of the Chartered Community of Navarre. In 2012 it had a population of 109 inhabitants. It is located below the Codes mountain range and crossed by the Ega river.

The Izki is a river in Álava, Basque Country, Spain. It is a tributary of the Ega river, itself a tributary of the Ebro. Most of its course is located within the Izki Natural Park. The river is part of the Ega-Berron Special Area of Conservation. It is home to a population of European mink, a critically endangered species. The Eurasian otter is also present.

Kanpezu in Basque or Campezo in Spanish is a municipality located in the province of Álava, in the Basque Country, northern Spain. The municipality lies on the western side of the Codés mountain range.

Bujanda is a village in Álava, Basque Country, Spain. The parish church contains the incorrupt remains of San Fausto Labrador, which has in the past given it some fame. At its largest, the village had around 150 inhabitants; but migration in the 1960s resulted in a great reduction in population. Its future is oriented towards culture, sports and ecology due to its proximity to Antoñana (a walled medieval village), the Nature Park of Izki, greenways and mountain bike routes, hiking; as well as to very attractive areas such as Merindad de Estella, Treviño, Rioja and the Basque Coast.

The Second Battle of Arquijas (5 February 1835) was a battle of the First Carlist War. It followed the First Battle of Arquijas. The battle was a second attack on the positions of Carlist commander Tomás de Zumalacárregui at the pass at Arquijas, Navarre. Liberal commander Francisco Espoz y Mina sent 5,000 infantry and cavalrymen into the field. 9,000 Liberal troops were at Estella under Manuel Lorenzo, Marcelino de Oraá Lecumberri, and three other generals. Espoz y Mina gave orders for the passage of the Ega River at Arquijas.Meanwhile, Zumalacárregui had 8,500 men. His generals were Ituralde, Guibelalde, Villareal, and Miguel Gómez Damas.On 5 February Liberal forces took posts opposite the Carlists on the other bank of the Ega River. They then attacked at several points, but were repulsed, suffering heavy casualties. They retreated to their entrenched towns.

The First Battle of Arquijas (December 15, 1834) was a battle of the First Carlist War.

Orbiso is a village situated the region of the Montaña Alavesa which allows for traversing from the valley of Campezo/Kanpezu to the valley of Arana, both in Álava, and at last to the Cordillera de Santiago Lózquiz in Navarra. This small town is 43 km far from Vitoria-Gasteiz and 28 km from Estella, and the way to get there is first taking the A-132 highway and then the A-4161. In the propinquity of Orbiso merges Cruz de Alda, the Istora’s Cliff, the park of Santa Lucía and the Franciscanos de San Julián de Piédrola’s convent. Related to the vegetation, Orbiso’s mountains are covered by holm oaks, oaks and arbutus, where a lot of wild animals live. There also are a lot of walnut trees, chestnuts and cherry trees. The economy of this village is based on the agricultural exploitation because of its dry and irrigated lands. Orbiso’s local government it’s the council of Campezo, formed by Santa Cruz/Santikurutze, Oteo, Bujanda, Antoñana and Orbiso.

Antoñana is a town located in the Campezo/Kanpezu municipality, Álava (Araba) Province, in the Basque Country autonomous community, northern Spain.
