Tees Bay is a bay in County Durham, England, between Hartlepool and Redcar, where the River Tees flows into the North Sea.

South Gare & Coatham Sands SSSI (grid reference NZ582263) is a 381.2 hectare biological Site of Special Scientific Interest in North Yorkshire, England notified in 1971. SSSIs are designated by Natural England, formally English Nature, which uses the 1974–1996 county system. This means there is no grouping of SSSIs by Redcar and Cleveland unitary authority, or North Yorkshire which is the relevant ceremonial county. As such South Gare & Coatham Sands is one of 18 SSSIs in the Cleveland area of search.

The Coatham Bowl (later known as the Redcar Bowl) was an entertainment venue located in Redcar, England. It hosted events ranging from conferences, dances and pop concerts. The bowl was a particularly popular venue for concerts during the early-1970s to 1990s. Notable past performers include Whitesnake, Yes, Iron Maiden, Uriah Heep. In 2014 the venue was demolished.

Redcar Jazz Club was a music venue located in the seaside town of Redcar, North Yorkshire, England. It was a regular stop for up-and-coming rock musicians during the 1960s and early 1970s. Almost all the famous, or soon to be famous names, played the venue for the local audience. Bands such as Cream, Free, Yes, Curved Air and Pink Floyd all occupied the stage in the ballroom of the Coatham Hotel a Victorian edifice in the grand style. The ballroom, which was the location of the weekly concerts, occupied a later extension to the building on the unfinished east end, the original builder apparently having run out of money in the 1870s. It was owned by Charles Amer, who was the jazz band leader of the Charles Amer Orchestra.In the early 1970s, bands became too large, both for the small audiences which could fit in the ballroom, and the small stage which had to accommodate ever larger amounts of equipment. The Club folded, and the Hotel has been renovated into luxury apartments, under the name Regency Mansions. In 2007, the home of the Redcar Jazz Club again came to prominence, when the Coatham Hotel building was featured in the film Atonement.

The Teesdale Way is a long-distance walk between the Cumbrian Pennines and the North Sea coast of North Yorkshire in England. The walk is 100 miles (160 km) in length; it links in with other long-distance walks such as the Pennine Way and the E2 European Walk between Harwich and Stranraer.

Warrenby is a depopulated area of Redcar in the borough of Redcar and Cleveland, ceremonial county of North Yorkshire, England. It is a light industrial area, no longer residential. On the edge of Coatham Marsh, the area was originally called Warrenstown when it was founded in 1873 to provide housing for workers at the nearby ironworks of Downey & Co and Walker Maynard. In the Warrenby Disaster of 1895, eleven men, many from the village of Warrenby were killed in a massive boiler explosion at the works.Although it was on the route of the Middlesbrough & Redcar Railway, the area did not have a station until 1916 when Warrenby Halt was opened mainly to serve the nearby Dorman Long works. The halt closed in 1978 when the railway was realigned to make way for the new Redcar steel plant.

It is located 7 miles (11 km) east of Middlesbrough. The Teesside built-up area's Redcar subdivision had a population of 37,073 at the 2011 Census. The town is made up of Coatham, Dormanstown, Kirkleatham, Newcomen, West Dyke, Wheatlands and Zetland.It gained a town charter in 1922, from then until 1968 it was governed by the municipal borough of Redcar. Since the abolition of County Borough of Teesside, which existed from 1968 until 1974, the town has been unparished.

Redcar and Cleveland College is a further education college, based in Redcar, North Yorkshire, England. The college offers apprenticeship training as well as A-level, vocational and higher education courses. It is part of the Education Training Collective (Etc.), including Stockton Riverside College, Bede Sixth Form College, NETA Training and The Skills Academy. The college is situated on the A1085 between Westfield and West Dyke, and very near Redcar Central railway station. It is in the Coatham part of Redcar.

Redcar Central is a railway station on the Tees Valley Line, which runs between Bishop Auckland and Saltburn via Darlington. The station, situated 7 miles 64 chains (12.6 km) east of Middlesbrough, serves the seaside town of Redcar, Redcar and Cleveland in North Yorkshire, England. It is owned by Network Rail and managed by Northern Trains.
