St. Mary's Hospital was a psychiatric facility located in the village of Burghill, Herefordshire.

Herefordshire ( HERR-if-ərd-sheer, -⁠shər) is a ceremonial county in the West Midlands of England. It is bordered by Gloucestershire to the south-east, Worcestershire to the east, Shropshire to the north and the Welsh counties of Monmouthshire and Powys to the west. The city of Hereford is the largest settlement and the county town. To the east is the Malvern Hills AONB, which straddles the boundary with Worcestershire, and the south of the county contains the northern part of the Wye Valley AONB, which stretches into Wales. In the west the ground rises to the Black Mountains range; this contains the Black Mountain (Twyn Llech), which lies on the Powys border and is the highest point in the county at 703.6 metres (2,308 ft), The county is situated in the historic Welsh Marches. The land use is mostly agricultural, and the county is known for its fruit and cider production, and for the Hereford cattle breed.

Stretton Sugwas ( STRET-ən SUG-əs) is a village and civil parish in Herefordshire, England, about 4 miles (6.4 km) northwest of Hereford. The parish also includes the hamlet of Swainshill. The population of this Civil Parish at the 2011 census was 505. In 1087 the village was held by Roger de Lacy and consisted of two and a half hides paying geld, in demesne there was 2 ploughs, 1 villan, 9 bordars, 4 oxmen, and 2 radknights, as well as a mill rendering 32d. The village had increased in value from 40 to 50s from the time of the conquest to that of Domesday. The village lies within the ancient Hundred of Grimsworth

Upper Lyde is a small village in Herefordshire, England, around 4 miles (6 km) north of Hereford city centre. It forms part of the Pipe and Lyde civil parish. Ruins of a timber castle can be found near the village The village can be easily accessed from the A49 road.

RAF Credenhill, also known as RAF Hereford, was a non-flying station of the Royal Air Force situated in the village of Credenhill near Hereford, England, United Kingdom. It was commissioned in 1940 and served as home for a range of training schools from 1940 until closure in 1994. The site was subsequently obtained by the British Army.

Stirling Lines is a British Army garrison in Credenhill, Herefordshire; the headquarters of the 22 Special Air Service Regiment (22 SAS) and the Special Reconnaissance Regiment (SRR). The site was formerly a Royal Air Force (RAF) non-flying station for training schools, known as RAF Credenhill.

The Killing House, a shoot house, is the Special Air Service's prime training facility for hostage rescue operations. The point of the Killing House is to train the SAS operatives to enter a room and be able to assess the situation and shoot any threats. The Counter-Terrorism team of SAS uses it for Close Quarter Battle training (CQB).The Killing House is located at the Stirling Lines barracks, near Hereford. It is a two storey building with four rooms on each level. It is designed just like a conventional building, with furniture, pictures, toilets, etc. The building has special rubber-coated walls to absorb bullets, extractor fans to clear out fumes, and video cameras in corners to record the action in the rooms. Each room has at least one metal target. The idea of the Killing House has been adopted by other elite units, including America's Delta Force, the FBI, Israeli special forces, FSK (of Norway).

The Church of St Mary Magdalene is an Anglican church in the village of Stretton Sugwas, in Herefordshire, England. The church is in the Burghill Benefice. The building, dating from the late 19th century, incorporates features from the earlier 12th-century church. It is Grade II* listed.

Whitecross Hereford High School is a mixed secondary school located in Hereford in the English county of Herefordshire.Previously a community school administered by Herefordshire Council, Whitecross Hereford High School converted to academy status in January 2013. However the school continues to coordinate with Herefordshire Council for admissions. The school moved into new buildings in 2006. Whitecross Hereford High School offers GCSEs and BTECs as programmes of study for pupils. The school also has a specialism in sports, and is an accredited sports college. Wellington, a village in Herefordshire, England at grid reference SO494481 had a population of 1005 in the 2011 census .The village is sheltered by the wooded slopes of Dinmore Hill to the north, close to the A49 and roughly midway between Hereford and Leominster. Its half timbered 'black and white' houses mixed with later types of buildings in stone and brick give it a strong regional character. A ford through the Wellington Brook by the church is a unique and picturesque sight. The local church is dedicated to St. Margaret of Antioch and is a grade I listed building.The village is a compact settlement mentioned in the Domesday Book. The community is enthusiastic and has recently built an attractive and very successful village shop with a post office and meeting room for hire. An enthusiastic group is mounting a bid to buy the village pub and restore it to success. Another group is developing a much needed children's play area on the sports field. Other groups are establishing accessible footpaths for the disabled. Wellington Primary School is Ofsted rated good and has a current roll of 73 children. It is in association with the forward looking Leominster Primary. The Wellington Social club hosts sporting events and is licensed. Extensive playing fields behind the school offer two full size football pitches with flood lighting and stands with covered seating. Also three tennis courts and bowling green. The village has a football team — Wellington FC — which plays in the Hellenic League. There are many local clubs and societies which meet in the Community Rooms run by the Wellington Community Association. Wellington Parish Council meets monthly on the first Thursday.

Canon Pyon is a village and civil parish on the A4110 road in Herefordshire, England. The population of the parish at the 2011 Census was 542. The civil parish includes the settlement of Westhope with its tin tabernacle dedicated to St. Francis. The name derives from the nearby Pyon Hill. 'Pyon', is unusual and not used anywhere else in Britain with the exception of the nearby village of King's Pyon.Amenities include a village shop, The Nag's Head public house, a village hall, Canon Pyon CE Primary School, and the 13th-century church of St Lawrence which is a Grade I listed building. Canon Pyon, with King's Pyon, has a magazine: The Pyonear. The Hermitage is a country house near the village, built c1840-1850 and used as the summer retreat of the Bishop of Hereford.

Wellington Football Club are a football club based in the village of Wellington, Herefordshire, England. The club is affiliated to the Herefordshire County FA. They were re-formed in 1968. In the 2003–04 season, they reached the third round of the FA Vase. They are currently members of the Herefordshire League Premier Division, but resigned before the 2021–22 season. Although officially named simply Wellington F.C., the county in which they play is sometimes appended to their name to differentiate them from the similarly named Wellington A.F.C. based in Somerset.
