Anoia

Òdena (Spanish: Ódena) is a municipality in the comarca of the Anoia in Barcelona province, Catalonia, Spain. It is situated in the centre of the Òdena Basin, on the side of a small hill. The remains of Òdena castle with its octagonal tower are at the top of the hill. The town is served by the C-241 road from Igualada to Manresa, and the main N-II road from Barcelona to Lleida runs through the municipality. The Igualada-Òdena Aerodrome is located at the south of the Òdena municipality. The airdrome is home to the Aerosport airshow that takes place every year in April or May. In 2009 it was officially elected by the Catalan government to be converted into a corporate usage airfield. The current 900 metre runway will be extended to 1500 metres and new hangars will be built for sportive and corporate aviation. Ultramagic, the world's second largest manufacturer of hot air balloons, has its headquarters at the Igualada-Òdena aerodrome.

The Basilica of Santa Maria is the main temple and the most important historical building of Igualada, province of Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain. Santa Maria church origin is from the 11th century, but the current building is mainly from the 17th century.

The Igualada Leather Museum (Catalan: Museu de la Pell d'Igualada), located in Igualada, Catalonia, was created in 1954 and was the first leather museum in Spain, and the third one in Europe. The collections are displayed in two nearby buildings in Igualada: the "Cal Boyer" building, a former cotton textile factory from the late 19th century, and the "Cal Granotes" building, an 18th-century tannery.

Santa Maragarida de Montbui is a municipality in the comarca of the Anoia in Catalonia, Spain. It is situated in the Òdena Basin, immediately to the west of Igualada of which it effectively forms a suburb. The ajuntament (town hall) is in Sant Maure. Other neighbourhoods in Montbui are the Old Town, el Saió-Coll del Guix and La Mallola.

Igualada Cemetery or New Cemetery (Catalan: Cementiri Nou) is a cemetery in Igualada, near Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain, designed by the architects Enric Miralles and Carme Pinós after winning an architectural competition in 1984. Constructed between 1985 and 1994 as a replacement for the Old Cemetery (Catalan: "Cementiri Vell"), the cemetery became widely regarded as one of the most poetic works of twentieth century Catalan architecture. Enric Miralles, who died in the year 2000 is buried in one of the tombs.

The European Balloon Festival is the largest hot air balloon festival in Spain, and one of the largest in Europe. It takes place every year during the first fortnight of July in Igualada, Catalonia, Spain, a city located within 60 km from Barcelona. The festival lasts four days (Thursday to Sunday) and attracts thousands of spectators. It includes a hot air balloon competition and recreational exhibitions such as a night glow and fireworks. The flights take place early in the morning and late in the afternoon, when weather conditions are the optimal ones. It also offers visitors the opportunity to fly on a balloon, by booking a flight in advance. The festival is organized by the Igualada City Council, with technical support from the company Ultramagic, the world's second-largest manufacturer of hot air balloons, and Kon-Tiki Balloon Flights, a company specialized in balloon flights. The company merged with Royal Flight Tours in 2010, and operates flights from the south-eastern peninsula.

Igualada is a railway station on the Llobregat–Anoia Line serving the city of the same name, in Catalonia, Spain. It is located adjacent to the bus station, in the southeastern part of town. The railway station is the northern terminus of the Igualada line branch and is served by commuter rail lines R6 and R60. Although the current station opened in 1978, a narrow gauge railway line from Martorell, predecessor of the current line, had already been serving the city since 1893. In 2015, it was announced that the current at-grade station is to be put underground together with a 300-metre-long (980 ft) line portion, removing the only level crossing in town.

The Còpia de Palomes is a mountain located in Catalonia, Spain. It has an elevation of 837-metre-high (2,746 ft). It is situated between the municipalities of Rubió and Òdena, in the comarca of the Anoia, province of Barcelona. It is the highest mountain in the Serra de Rubió.

Rubió is a rural municipality in the comarca of Anoia in Catalonia, Spain. Its administrative centre is the village of Rubió, and other villages include Maçana and El Pla de Rubió. As of 2014, the municipality had 228 inhabitants. At 48 square kilometres (19 sq mi) it is one of the largest municipalities of the Alta Segarra, and at one time was the most sparsely populated.

The Serra de Rubió is a mountain range located in Catalonia, Spain, between the comarques of Anoia and Bages, and among the municipalities of Rubió, Castellfollit del Boix, Òdena and Els Prats de Rei. Its highest peak is the Còpia de Palomes, with an elevation of 837-metre-high (2,746 ft). It has a length of roughly 12-kilometre (39,370 ft), and 9-kilometre (29,528 ft) of width. The landscape of the surroundings is characterized by woods of Aleppo Pine (Pinus halepensis), the predominant species in almost all the mountain range. However, also the Austrian Pine (Pinus nigra) stands out, mostly in the wet areas in the bottom of the valleys but also in the shady spots, by the side of the Scots Pine (Pinus sylvestris), which is less abundant and lies mostly in some shady spots higher than 700-metre-high (2,297 ft). Oaks and holm oaks are abundant as well. Regarding fauna, the main animal species are the roe deer (Capreolus capreolus), the wild boar (Sus scrofa), the red fox (Vulpes vulpes), the European rabbit (Oryctolagus cuniculus) and the European hare (Lepus europaeus). The population in the range is scarce, since live there around 200 people. People live in masies (country houses), which are dispersed by all the territory. Moreover, there are some chapels also dispersed: the main ones are Santa Maria de Rubió and Sant Martí de Maçana, but also stands out the Romanic chapel of Sant Pere d'Ardesa. There is a wind farm in the mountain range, the Serra de Rubió Wind Farm, which is the biggest in Catalonia and has round 50 wind turbines. The Marimon i Casulleres rock shelter, a big rock shelter where hided two known bandits in the area, is located in the mountain range. Besides, a mountain retreat called Refugi Mas del Tronc lies in the northern slope of the Serra de Rubió, where crosses the GR7 path.

The Anoia (Noya in Spanish) is a river in Catalonia, Spain, most of whose course is within the comarca of the same name. Its source is in the municipality of Veciana (Anoia) at an elevation of about 650 metres (2,130 ft). It passes through Igualada and crosses the Prelitoral Range at Capellades. It then passes through Gelida (Alt Penedès) before joining the Llobregat from the right at Martorell (Baix Llobregat).

Aerosport is an air show that takes place at the Igualada-Òdena aerodrome (Barcelona Province in Spain) every year since 1993. It is the only Spanish air show fully dedicated to corporate and sport aircraft.The show includes displays, demonstrations and flights of ultralight aircraft, autogyros, gliders, acrobatic aircraft, paramotors, helicopters, amateur aircraft, aeronautical accessories, flight training schools, clubs and a secondhand market. The show includes technical conferences regarding topics such as cartography and air space, aircraft engines, insurances and the history or aircraft.
