The Bi-State Vietnam Gold Star Twin Bridges, (usually referred to as simply The Twin Bridges, despite differences in their widths), are located in Henderson County, Kentucky and connect Henderson, Kentucky, and Evansville, Indiana, along U.S. Route 41 (US 41), two miles (3.2 km) south of the current southern terminus of Interstate 69 (I-69). The two bridges average more than 40,000 vehicles crossings a day across the Ohio River. The northbound bridge opened to traffic on July 4, 1932. The southbound bridge opened on December 16, 1965, but will be decommissioned after the completion of the Interstate 69 Ohio River Bridge about 1.6 miles (2.6 km) east, which is scheduled to be completed in 2031. The more historic northbound bridge will remain in service for US-41 as a two way bridge.Both of the Bi-State Vietnam Gold Star Bridges are cantilever bridges. The northbound bridge stands 100 feet (30 m) over the Ohio River with a main span of 720 feet (220 m), with the steel gridwork extending 100 feet (30 m) above the driving surface. The southbound span has a main span of 600 feet (180 m).An unusual fact about the bridges is that they are entirely within Kentucky. Although the Ohio River forms most of the border between Kentucky and Indiana, the state border is based on the course of the river as it existed when Kentucky became a state in 1792, when what would be Indiana was part of the unorganized Northwest Territory. Due to the New Madrid earthquake of 1812, the river changed course to the south, leaving the land where the bridges cross the river within Kentucky.

Green River National Wildlife Refuge is a National Wildlife Refuge located in Kentucky across from Evansville, Indiana where the Green River joins the Ohio River. At its debut as the 568th National Wildlife Refuge in 2019, it consisted of 10 acres of land donated by the Southern Conservation Corp. The Fish and Wildlife Refuge has a goal of acquiring 24,000 acres in a 52,000 acre Conservation Partnership Area.

The Interstate 69 Ohio River Crossing (I-69 ORX) is a proposed bridge to carry the planned Interstate 69 (I-69) extension over the Ohio River between Evansville, Indiana, and Henderson, Kentucky. The bridge and its approach roadways make up a portion of Segment of Independent Utility 4 (SIU 4) of the I-69 corridor from Michigan to Texas. It will be built approximately 1.62 miles (2.61 km) upstream of the existing Bi-State Vietnam Gold Star Bridges carrying U.S. Route 41 (US 41), at a point just downstream from where the Green River flows into the Ohio.

John James Audubon State Park is located on U. S. Route 41 in Henderson, Kentucky, just south of the Ohio River. Its inspiration is John James Audubon, the ornithologist, naturalist, and painter who resided in Henderson from 1810 to 1819 when Henderson was a frontier village.The park was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1988. Most of the park has been dedicated as a state nature preserve by the Office of Kentucky Nature Preserves, which also added a 650-acre addition in 2016 through its Kentucky Heritage Land Conservation Fund program. This is 1 of 3 state parks in Kentucky that will be in the path of totality for the 2024 total solar eclipse.

Lincolnshire Historic District is a national historic district located at Evansville, Indiana. The district developed after 1923, and encompasses 95 contributing buildings in a predominantly residential section of Evansville. The district's homes have a mixture of Tudor Revival and Old and new World revival designs, including Colonial Revival. St. Benedict Cathedral and Bosse High School are two landmark buildings from the 1920s and 1930s.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1989.

Culver Historic District is a national historic district located at Evansville, Indiana. The neighborhood is all residential, and unlike most of the rest of the city, the lots are not laid out on a grid. Most of the houses are on a lot previously part of the farm owned by Robert Parrett, a native of England who settled in Evansville and built a house near the intersection of Madison Avenue and Parrett Street. Eventually Robert Parrett would become the first Methodist minister in Evansville and helped found Trinity Methodist church, which he served until his death in 1860. His heirs divided up the plat in 1863.The architectural style of the houses in the neighborhood include Queen Anne, Bungalow, Italianate, Prairie School, Tudor, Colonial Revival, and Four-square. The Rathbone Memorial Home is the focal point of the neighborhood. Completed in 1905, it was formed as a residential facility for poor elderly women and remains today as a nursing home for the elderly.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.

The Green River is a 384-mile-long (618 km) tributary of the Ohio River that rises in Lincoln County in south central Kentucky. Tributaries of the Green River include the Barren River, the Nolin River, the Pond River and the Rough River. The river was named after Nathanael Greene, a general of the American Revolutionary War.

Benjamin Bosse High School, referred to as Evansville Bosse High School by the IHSAA, is a public high school of the Evansville Vanderburgh School Corporation in Evansville, Indiana, United States. Bosse is the third smallest high school by enrollment of Vanderburgh County's nine high schools. The school is a contributing property to the Lincolnshire Historic District on the National Register of Historic Places.

William Bedford Sr. House is a historic home located at Evansville, Indiana. It was built in 1873, and is a two-story brick dwelling with English influences. It features projecting polygonal bays and a one-story, full width front porch on four piers.: 2 It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1978.
