Greater Galesburg was a census-designated place (CDP) in Kalamazoo County in the U.S. state of Michigan, surrounding the city of Galesburg. As a CDP, it used for statistical purposes and does not have any legal status as a municipality. The population was 1,631 at the 2000 census. The CDP was deleted and not reported in the 2010 census The CDP area included land in Comstock Charter Township on the west and Charleston Township on the east. The area was closely identified with the city of Galesburg, but was outside of the city's municipal boundaries.

Comstock Charter Township is a charter township of Kalamazoo County in the U.S. state of Michigan, located east of the city of Kalamazoo and is part of the Kalamazoo–Portage Metropolitan Area. The 2010 census recorded the population within the township at 14,854.

The Acres, also known as Galesburg Country Homes, is a naturalistic residential plat designed by Frank Lloyd Wright in Charleston Township, Michigan. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2004.

Galesburg-Augusta Community Schools was formed in 1951. It is a public school district that serves students in the neighboring Southwest-Michigan communities of Galesburg and Augusta. Comstock High School is a secondary school within the Comstock Public School District located in Comstock Charter Township near the city of Kalamazoo, Michigan, United States. Comstock High School primarily serves the western half of Comstock Township, as well as portions of Kalamazoo Township, Pavilion Township, City of Portage, and the City of Kalamazoo. Enrollment at Comstock High School averages around 650 students (2,500 students district-wide). Students within the district have the option to enroll at Comstock Compass High School, which is an alternative to the traditional high school classes provided at Comstock High School. Comstock High School was named one of America's best high schools by U.S. News & World Report in 2010.

Comstock Northwest is a census-designated place (CDP) in Kalamazoo County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 5,455 at the 2010 census, up from 4,472 at the 2000 census.

WKMI (1360 AM) is a radio station licensed to Kalamazoo, Michigan broadcasting a news-talk format. WKMI is an affiliate of the Grand Valley State Laker football radio network.WKMI, which began broadcasting in 1947, was a highly rated Top 40 music station from the 1950s through the 1970s. The station moved to an Adult Contemporary format to compete with WKZO during the early 1980s, and then switched to its current talk format in 1990 as the Persian Gulf War created a boom for talk radio. An FM sister at 106.5 was added in 1964; WKMI-FM is now WVFM and no longer co-owned. On August 30, 2013, a deal was announced in which Townsquare Media would acquire 53 stations from Cumulus Media, including WKMI, for $238 million. The deal was part of Cumulus' acquisition of Dial Global; Townsquare and Dial Global were both controlled by Oaktree Capital Management. The sale to Townsquare was completed on November 14, 2013.

Wings Event Center (formerly Wings Stadium) is a 5,113-seat multi-purpose arena located in Kalamazoo, Michigan. The arena, opened in 1974, is home to the Kalamazoo Wings, an ice hockey team in the ECHL. The stadium changed the name to the Wings Event Center on March 25, 2015 to market the arena's other hosting capabilities to companies and promoters.The complex features four concession stands and two bars along the concourse, as well as the Underground Sports Bar. The main arena is a part of a sports and convention complex serving southwest Michigan. As a concert venue, the stadium can seat up to 8,023 spectators; as a convention center it can accommodate 17,000 square feet (1,600 m2) of trade show and exhibit space. Along with numerous concerts, the stadium has also hosted a number of World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) events. On April 8, 1992, the facility hosted a World Wrestling Federation (WWF) taping of its Superstars TV show, as well as other shows including Prime Time Wrestling and All American Wrestling. The Superstars episodes later aired on April 18, 1992, with additional episodes airing April 25 and May 2, 1992. The French version of Superstars aired on June 3, 1992. The April 18th edition is notable for being the first usage of the 'Superstars' only title, after the company dropped the previous name 'Superstars of Wrestling'. Meanwhile, the All American Wrestling episode aired April 19, 1992. The Prime Time Wrestling episodes aired April 20, 27 and June 22, 1992. It was at these tapings that The Ultimate Warrior had what would become his first televised match since leaving the WWF the previous year. He defeated Skinner in a bout that would air on the 5/2/92 Superstars. In 1989, the Valley (formerly known as the Annex), seating 1,367 for hockey and up to 2,850 for other events, was added; it also has 17,000 square feet (1,600 m2) of arena floor space and can be used for hockey, curling, trade shows, conventions and other events. It also has a 3,166-square-foot (294 m2) viewing area. The Zoo (formerly known as the Cube), the third arena in the complex, was added in 1997, and is used for hockey and trade shows; its arena floor also measures 17,000 square feet (1,600 m2), bringing the total exhibit space to 51,000 square feet (4,700 m2). There is also a 5,800-square-foot (540 m2) viewing area at the arena. The complex has a 2,500-square-foot (230 m2) lobby and a 500-square-foot (46 m2) hospitality room, a separate concession stand and a bar called the Icehouse by Old Burdick's, which overlooks the Annex.

Richland Township is a civil township of Kalamazoo County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 7,580 at the 2010 census, up from 6,491 at the 2000 census. The village of Richland is located within the township. Richland Township was organized in 1832.

Gull Lake High School is part of the Gull Lake Community Schools in Richland, Michigan. The district was consolidated in the early 1960s from the existing Richland, Kellogg, and Bedford secondary schools and serves nearly 1000 students from a three-county area: NE Kalamazoo, NW Calhoun, and Southern Barry Counties. The school mascot is the Blue Devil.
