Abington Senior High School is a three-year co-educational high school in Abington, Pennsylvania, United States. The school was a two-year high school known as Abington South Campus from September 1964 until June 1983. In September 1983, Abington South Campus again became a three-year high school (grades 10 through 12) and eventually changed its name back to Abington Senior High. The 2017-2018 enrollment was 1,808. The principal is Mr. Angelo Berrios. Abington students are leaders in PSSA scores in the state of Pennsylvania and have won technology-oriented awards from Dell and Microsoft. Abington is most notable for its chess team, which has won the scholastic state championship numerous times and has won the scholastic national championship three times, with coach Shawn Simmons, along with the school being involved in the landmark supreme court case decision: Abington School District v. Schempp.

Roslyn is an unincorporated community in Abington Township, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, United States. Originally called Hillside, the name Roslyn came from rose gardens that once grew there.The first known person of European descent to settle the area was John Tyson, who bought a tract of land here in 1717. He built lime kilns to turn the abundant local limestone into quicklime, starting an industry that operated into the late 20th century.The first rail connection to Roslyn was built by the Northeast Pennsylvania Railroad in 1873. Today's railroad station, which replaced the original in the late 1970s, is on SEPTA's Warminster Line. The location of the train station in Roslyn is at the intersection of Susquehanna Road and Easton Road.The community is home to Roslyn Elementary School, one of the seven public elementary schools that make up Abington School District. St. John of the Cross Elementary, a parochial school, closed in 2010, merging with Queen of Peace in neighboring Ardsley, PA forming Good Shepherd Catholic Regional Elementary School.The headwaters for Sandy Run, a tributary of the Wissahickon Creek, are located in Roslyn.

The Abington Township High School was a complex of educational buildings at 1801 Susquehanna Road in Abington Township, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. The 5-acre (2.0 ha) property included a number of buildings, including the township's first purpose-built school building. Buildings in the complex served as a high school, junior high school, and school administration facility. All but the oldest building were demolished in 1996, replaced by a senior living facility. The complex was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.

The Keswick Theatre is a privately owned theater in the Keswick Village section of Glenside, Pennsylvania, a suburb of Philadelphia. Horace Trumbauer designed the exterior in the Tudor Revival Style which has remained essentially unaltered. When opened it had 1,366-seats.The first performance was on Christmas Day in 1928 in a private event held for the Kiwanis Club. The Keswick Theatre opened to the public on December 27 with vaudeville and the film Glorious Betsy. Shot as a silent film with some speaking sequences, the Keswick showed a silent version as the sound equipment was not yet ready. In 1955 the theatre was renovated to show CinemaScope films.The theatre operated until 1980. After closing it was threatened with demolition until a community group formed to re-open it as a live performance venue. During this period the Keswick presented performances by Fred Waring and the Young Pennsylvanians and the Preservation Hall Jazz Band. The venue also hosted performances by Theodore Bikel, Lionel Hampton, Carlos Montoya and Roberta Peters. The theater closed again in 1985 and reopened in 1988 under private ownership. The new owners established a restoration fund for repairs, restoration, and equipment upgrades. The theatre has been described as "acoustically luscious" and was fully restored by 1994. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1983. It has been owned by AEG Live since 2008.

Ardsley station is a SEPTA Regional Rail station in Ardsley, Pennsylvania. It serves the Warminster Line and is located at the intersection of Jenkintown Road and Edge Hill Road. Crestmont is a flag stop except during peak hours and late at night, meaning trains will only stop if there are passengers on the platform or if a passenger on the train notifies the conductor they want to get off. Ardsley is an unincorporated community located in Abington Township, as well as Upper Dublin Township, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, United States. It is a neighbor of Glenside. A large portion of this neighborhood is composed of the historic cemeteries Hillside Cemetery and Ardsley Burial Park. It is the location of the Ardsley SEPTA station. On December 7, 1777, the Battle of Edge Hill was fought in the area. British forces attacked American troops posted on Edge Hill, which runs from southwest to northeast along the present-day Willow Grove Avenue and Edge Hill Road. Near where Limekiln Pike crosses Edge Hill, British and Hessian light infantry routed a force of Pennsylvania militia and the 2nd Connecticut Regiment led by Joseph Reed. Farther to the northeast on Edge Hill, riflemen and Maryland militia commanded by Daniel Morgan put up a tougher fight before falling back to join the main army at Camp Hill and Fort Washington.In 2001, the area was heavily damaged by Tropical Storm Allison. A township project was undertaken to stop future flooding. This project included the re-creation of a drainage basin known locally as "Floaties Pond", which has worked well in that not much more flooding has occurred.
