Abington Senior High School

Abington School District is a medium-sized, suburban, public school district that serves: the Borough of Rockledge and Abington Township in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, United States. The district operates one high school, one middle school, and seven elementary schools. Abington School District encompasses approximately 16 square miles. According to the 2000 federal census data, it serves a resident population of 58,680. In 2009, the district residents' per capita income was $29,932 a year, while the median family income was $70,226. In the Commonwealth, the median family income was $49,501 and the United States median family income was $49,445, in 2010. According to District officials, in school year 2007-08 the Abington School District provided basic educational services to 7,440 pupils. It employed: 551 teachers, 399 full-time and part-time support personnel, and 62 administrators. Abington School District received more than $16.2 million in state funding in school year 2007-08.

Roslyn station is a SEPTA Regional Rail station in Roslyn, Pennsylvania. Located at the intersection of Easton and Susquehanna Roads, it serves the Warminster Line. The original station was built by the Reading Railroad. The building was demolished in 1980 in favor of a modern facility. The station has a parking lot with 61 spaces. In FY 2017, Roslyn station had a weekday average of 285 boardings and 238 alightings. Prior to 2010, Roslyn station was where the Warminster Line ended double-track operation. Since then, the interlocking has been moved roughly 1/2 mile farther back. This station is wheelchair ADA accessible.

The Abington Township High School was a complex of educational buildings at 1801 Susquehanna Road in Abington Township, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. The 5-acre (2.0 ha) property included a number of buildings, including the township's first purpose-built school building. Buildings in the complex served as a high school, junior high school, and school administration facility. All but the oldest building were demolished in 1996, replaced by a senior living facility. The complex was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.

The Strawbridge and Clothier Store is a historic department store building located at Jenkintown, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. It was built by Strawbridge & Clothier in 1930-1931 and renovated and expanded in 1954. It closed in 1988 when it relocated to the Willow Grove Park Mall. It is now an office building, multi-tenant.

Jenkins' Town Lyceum Building, also known as Jenkintown Library, is a historic lyceum and library building located at Jenkintown, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. The original building was built in 1839, and expanded in 1909–1910. It is a two-story, fieldstone building with a gable roof and a one-story rear wing and addition. It features a two-story, columned portico with a flagstone floor. The Reading Room and Lambert Memorial Room have notable decorations.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.

The Keswick Theatre is a privately owned theater in the Keswick Village section of Glenside, Pennsylvania, a suburb of Philadelphia. Horace Trumbauer designed the exterior in the Tudor Revival Style which has remained essentially unaltered. When opened it had 1,366-seats.The first performance was on Christmas Day in 1928 in a private event held for the Kiwanis Club. The Keswick Theatre opened to the public on December 27 with vaudeville and the film Glorious Betsy. Shot as a silent film with some speaking sequences, the Keswick showed a silent version as the sound equipment was not yet ready. In 1955 the theatre was renovated to show CinemaScope films.The theatre operated until 1980. After closing it was threatened with demolition until a community group formed to re-open it as a live performance venue. During this period the Keswick presented performances by Fred Waring and the Young Pennsylvanians and the Preservation Hall Jazz Band. The venue also hosted performances by Theodore Bikel, Lionel Hampton, Carlos Montoya and Roberta Peters. The theater closed again in 1985 and reopened in 1988 under private ownership. The new owners established a restoration fund for repairs, restoration, and equipment upgrades. The theatre has been described as "acoustically luscious" and was fully restored by 1994. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1983. It has been owned by AEG Live since 2008.

Jenkintown–Wyncote station (originally Jenkintown station) is a major SEPTA Regional Rail station along the SEPTA Main Line in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, United States. It is located at the intersection of Greenwood Avenue and West Avenue on the border of Jenkintown and the Wyncote neighborhood of Cheltenham Township, with a mailing address in Jenkintown. It is the ninth-busiest station in the Regional Rail system, and the fourth busiest outside Center City. Despite this, the station is not wheelchair accessible. SEPTA had plans to make the station wheelchair accessible by 2020, but these have not yet been completed.

Roslyn is an unincorporated community in Abington Township, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, United States. Originally called Hillside, the name Roslyn came from rose gardens that once grew there.The first known person of European descent to settle the area was John Tyson, who bought a tract of land here in 1717. He built lime kilns to turn the abundant local limestone into quicklime, starting an industry that operated into the late 20th century.The first rail connection to Roslyn was built by the Northeast Pennsylvania Railroad in 1873. Today's railroad station, which replaced the original in the late 1970s, is on SEPTA's Warminster Line. The location of the train station in Roslyn is at the intersection of Susquehanna Road and Easton Road.The community is home to Roslyn Elementary School, one of the seven public elementary schools that make up Abington School District. St. John of the Cross Elementary, a parochial school, closed in 2010, merging with Queen of Peace in neighboring Ardsley, PA forming Good Shepherd Catholic Regional Elementary School.The headwaters for Sandy Run, a tributary of the Wissahickon Creek, are located in Roslyn.
