WXGI (950 AM) is a classic hip hop formatted radio station licensed to Richmond, Virginia. WXGI is owned and operated by Urban One. The station's studios and offices are located just north of Richmond proper on Emerywood Parkway in unincorporated Henrico County, and its transmitter is located in the Southside of Richmond. WXGI serves the Richmond/Petersburg area of Virginia using three simulcast stations, WDCJ (1240 AM) in Petersburg, 99.5 FM W258DC in Richmond and 102.7 FM W274PX in Petersburg.

Liberation Church is a non-denominational Christian ministry in Richmond, Virginia. It was founded in 2006 by Jay Patrick. The church is currently located at the old Celebration Church plot on Midlothian Turnpike. Next to it is one of the church's thrift stores, "The Love of Jesus Thrift Store". The church also plans to build a "state-of-the-art" resource center on the property.

Granite was an unincorporated community in Chesterfield County, Virginia. It was originally located along the Richmond and Danville Railroad five miles west of Manchester and about a mile south of the rapids of the James River along Powhite Creek. Most of the Granite area of Chesterfield County was annexed by the independent city of Richmond on January 1, 1970.

Powhite Park is a 100-acre park in the city limits of Richmond, Virginia. It is close to the junction of Powhite parkway, Chippenham Parkway and Jahnke road. This park is notable for its pristinity and beaver dam, considering the park is in city limits. The park is also populated by deer. The bike trail is considered moderate.

Stonebridge Shopping Center, formerly Cloverleaf Mall, is a shopping mall located in Chesterfield County, Virginia on U.S. Route 60 just west of State Route 150. The mall opened in 1972 and featured two anchor stores, J. C. Penney, and Sears. A third anchor, Thalhimers, opened a year later. However, the surrounding neighborhoods began to undergo a socioeconomic crisis and developments were occurring away from the mall. This led to a decline, especially in the 1990s and 2000s when businesses left for nearby Chesterfield Towne Center. The mall was eventually closed in 2008 and was ultimately demolished in 2011 to make way for a mixed-use development featuring a Kroger Marketplace.

Powhite Creek is an 8.0-mile-long (12.9 km) stream rising near the unincorporated community of Bon Air in Chesterfield County and flowing into the independent city of Richmond in central Virginia. The creek empties into the James River in the region of the Fall Line, where the rapids of the James are located upstream from the head of navigation. The name is usually pronounced "PO-White" by area residents although it is alternatively pronounced "Pow-Hite." References to Powhite Creek are included in the Vestry Book of Henrico Parish, Virginia, 1730–1773, and in Chesterfield County records of the latter time period. It is mentioned in land records as early as 1687, according to research on the Bratcher family (Margaret Bradshaw). The nearby Powhite Parkway of the Richmond Metropolitan Authority (RMA) was named for the creek. The toll road (Virginia State Route 76) crosses over the creek and under the Norfolk Southern Railway near the former unincorporated town of Granite. About a mile north, the toll road crosses the river on a bridge just downstream from the mouth of the creek.

Powhite Parkway Bridge crosses the James River in the independent city of Richmond, Virginia. It carries the Powhite Parkway, also known as Virginia State Route 76. The bridge is owned and maintained by the Richmond Metropolitan Authority, and was funded with revenue bonds which are repaid from user tolls. There is no bridge toll to cross the Powhite Parkway Bridge, however the toll plazas located south of the bridge prohibit drivers from crossing the bridge without paying a Powhite Parkway toll.

Laurel Meadow is an historic house at 1640 Bramwell Road in Richmond, Virginia. The oldest portion of this wood-frame house was built prior to 1776, when the property was acquired by David Patteson. Patteson, who had been a steward of the Westover Plantation of William Byrd III, was an officer in the Revolutionary War, a Colonel in the Virginia Militia, a member of the House of Delegates, and represented Chesterfield County at the Virginia Constitutional Ratification Convention of 1788. He voted to ratify the Constitution. The building has three portions, forming an L shape. The oldest portion is the Northwest wing, which is 1.5 stories and now houses a library and stair hall below and a sitting room above, which was probably at first a bedroom. A dining room and upper bedchamber were believed to have been added by Patteson. A third wing including a lower passage and parlor below and an upper passage and bedchamber above, was added to the Northeast section early in the 19th century, and the building was significantly restyled, giving it a Federal interior. The house is one of only a small number of colonial-era houses in the Richmond area.The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2014.
