Liên Chiểu is an urban district of Da Nang in the South Central Coast region of Vietnam. As of 2003 the district had a population of 71,818. The district covers an area of 76 km². The district capital lies at Hòa Minh ward.The district is divided into five wards (phường): Hòa Hiệp Bắc Hòa Hiệp Nam Hòa Khánh Bắc Hòa Khánh Nam Hòa Minh

The Hải Vân Pass (Vietnamese: Đèo Hải Vân, IPA: [ɗɛ̂w ha᷉ːj vən], 'ocean cloud pass'), is an approximately 21-kilometre (13 mi) long mountain pass on National Route 1 in Vietnam. It traverses a spur of the larger Annamite Range that juts into the 'East Sea' (Biển Đông, known as the South China Sea in English), on the border of Đà Nẵng and Thừa Thiên–Huế Province, near Bạch Mã National Park. Its name refers to the mists that rise from the sea, reducing visibility. Historically, the pass was a physical division between the kingdoms of Champa and Đại Việt. The twisting road on the pass has long been a challenge for drivers traveling between the cities of Huế and Đà Nẵng. Since the completion of Hải Vân Tunnel, traffic flow and safety have improved. The pass has been the scene of at least two of Vietnam's most serious rail accidents, and at least one air crash.

Da Nang Bay (Vietnamese: Vịnh Đà Nẵng), formerly known as Tourane Bay, is a bay of the South China Sea along the coast of Da Nang, Vietnam. The bay is entered between the Sơn Trà Peninsula and the Hải Vân Mountain, 4 miles Northwest.The bay has an area of 116 square kilometres (45 sq mi), a coastline of 46 kilometres (29 mi) and adequate depths of 8–10 metres (26–33 ft). It offers good shelter at all seasons for vessels of any size. The bottom of the bay is mostly sandy, while some areas have corals and rocks. A layer of mud is immediately above this sandy bottom, making up 80% of the bay's floor.The port of Da Nang is located in the bay at the mouth of the Hàn River.

Thanh Khê station is a railway station on the North–South railway (Reunification Express) in Vietnam. It serves the district of Thanh Khê, on the outskirts of Đà Nẵng.

The Hàn River (Vietnamese: Sông Hàn) is a river located in the South Central Coast region of Vietnam. It originates in Quảng Nam Province and empties into the Da Nang Bay at Da Nang.

The Thuận Phước Bridge (Vietnamese: Cầu Thuận Phước) is a suspension bridge that crosses the lower Han River at Da Nang, Vietnam. The four-lane, three-span, bridge is 1,850 meters long and 18 meters wide, and has a main span of 405 meters. Its two major pillars are 80m in height. It is the longest suspension bridge in Vietnam, with total investment of nearly 1 trillion dong. The bridge was built with an estimated cost of VND 650 billion (about 42 million US dollars). Consulting firms from China, Cuba and Canada provided assistance. The construction of the bridge, which began in 2003, was completed on 19 July 2009 when the Prime Minister of Vietnam Nguyen Tan Dung and many high-ranking government officials attended the inauguration ceremony.

Hải Châu is an urban district (quận) of Da Nang in the South Central Coast region of Vietnam. This is the administrative, cultural and commercial center of the city. The city hall, the main theater and main market are located in Hải Châu. Da Nang International Airport is just about 3 kilometres (1.9 mi) away from the district's center.

Đà Nẵng station is one of the main railway stations on the North–South Railway (Reunification Express) in Vietnam and one of the five largest stations in Vietnam. It serves the city of Đà Nẵng. Đà Nẵng station is one of the three largest train stations of Vietnam serving daily trains from the north to the south and vice versa that stop for long enough for a relatively large number of passengers to get on or off. The facilities of Đà Nẵng station are relatively modern, secure and hygienic. Besides North–South routes, the station serves provincial routes such as to Huế, Quảng Bình, Vinh, Quy Nhon, and Ho Chi Minh City. Passengers have diverse options with different classes to any of these stations: odd numbers (E1, S1, S3, S5, S7 and SD1) go from the north to the south coded, even numbers (E2, S2, S4, S6 and S8) go from the south to the north.

Da Nang or Danang ( dah, də NANG, NAHNG; Vietnamese: Đà Nẵng, [ʔɗaː˨˩ naŋ˦ˀ˥] ) is a class-1 municipality and the fifth-largest city in Vietnam by municipal population. It lies on the coast of the East Sea of Vietnam at the mouth of the Hàn River, and is one of Vietnam's most important port cities. As one of the country's five direct-controlled municipalities, it falls under the administration of the central government. The city was known as Cửa Hàn during early Đại Việt settlement, and as Tourane (or Turon) during French colonial rule. Before 1997, the city was part of Quang Nam - Da Nang Province. On 1 January 1997, Da Nang was separated from Quảng Nam Province to become one of four centrally controlled municipalities in Vietnam. Da Nang is designated as a first class city, and has a higher urbanization ratio than any of Vietnam's other provinces or centrally governed cities.Da Nang is the commercial and educational center of Central Vietnam and is the largest city in the region. It has a well-sheltered, easily accessible port, and its location on National Route 1 and the North–South Railway makes it a transport hub. It is within 100 km (62 mi) of several UNESCO World Heritage Sites, including the Imperial City of Huế, the Old Town of Hội An, and the Mỹ Sơn ruins. Da Nang has a Human Development Index of 0.779 (high), ranking fifth among all municipalities and provinces of Vietnam.
