Little Sutton, Lincolnshire

Sutton Bridge is a village and civil parish in the South Holland district of Lincolnshire, England. It is situated on the A17 road, 7 miles (11 km) north from Wisbech and 9 miles (14 km) west from King's Lynn. The village includes a commercial dock on the west bank of the River Nene over which spans a swing bridge, and the parish, two 19th-century lighthouses 3 miles (5 km) to the north from the village on the Nene.

Tydd St Mary is a village and civil parish in the South Holland district of Lincolnshire, England, about 9 miles (14 km) east of the town of Spalding and about 5 miles (8.0 km) north of Wisbech, Cambridgeshire. The civil parish includes the village of Tydd Gote which lies partly in Tydd St Mary and partly in Tydd St Giles, Cambridgeshire. In 2011 the parish had a population of 1047. The village has a primary school, Tydd St Mary Church of England Primary School.

Sutton Bridge railway station was a station in Sutton Bridge, south Lincolnshire, England, which opened in the 19th century. It became part of the Midland and Great Northern Joint Railway network, and served as a junction where the line from Great Yarmouth split into two sections one heading for Wisbech and Peterborough and the other for Spalding. The station closed with the line in 1959.

Tydd railway station was a station, opened by the Peterborough, Wisbech and Sutton Bridge Railway on 1 August 1866, in Lincolnshire serving the villages of Tydd St Mary, Tydd Gote and Tydd St Giles, Cambridgeshire on the Midland and Great Northern Joint Railway route between Sutton Bridge and Wisbech. It closed on 2 March 1959.

Cross Keys Bridge is a swing bridge that carries the busy single carriageway A17 road which runs from Newark in Nottinghamshire to King's Lynn in Norfolk over the tidal River Nene in Sutton Bridge in the extreme south east of Lincolnshire close to the borders of both Norfolk and Cambridgeshire and is a major landmark on the route particularly for holiday traffic heading into and out of Norfolk during the summer months. It is the only crossing point for both traffic and pedestrians over the river north of the Cambridgeshire town of Wisbech some nine miles to the south of the bridge and provides the only direct link between Lincolnshire and Norfolk. When it was built in 1897, it was the third bridge to cross the Nene in Sutton Bridge. It was originally a dual-purpose bridge serving the Midland and Great Northern Joint Railway on what is now the westbound carriageway and the road was on the eastbound side. The railway line was closed in 1965 and the bridge took on its present-day use as a road bridge with one single lane for eastbound traffic and a single lane for westbound traffic. It is a Grade II* listed structure.

Sutton Bridge Power Station is an 819 MW gas-fired power station in Sutton Bridge in the south-east of Lincolnshire in South Holland, England. It is situated on Centenary Way close to the River Nene. It is a major landmark on the Lincolnshire and Norfolk border and on clear days with its bright red lights it can be easily seen as far away as Hunstanton.

Royal Air Force Sutton Bridge or more simply RAF Sutton Bridge is a former Royal Air Force station found next to the village of Sutton Bridge in the south-east of Lincolnshire. The airfield was to the south of the current A17, and east of the River Nene, next to Walpole in Norfolk.

Tydd St Giles is a village and civil parish in Fenland, Cambridgeshire, England. It is the northernmost village in the Isle of Ely, Cambridgeshire (bordering Lincolnshire), on the same latitude as Midlands towns such as Loughborough and Shrewsbury. In 2011 the parish had a population of 1101.

Ingleborough Tower Windmill is one mile north of the village of West Walton in Norfolk, England. The windmill is in the yard of Hill House Farm alongside a house and assorted farm buildings. The mill is now in a state of disuse. The mill tower was listed Grade II in 1951.The mill was built in 1824. It stood over eight storeys high and is constructed from brick. At the fourth floor level there is a gallery. There are windows on each floor, with three windows on the south elevation. At its top there is a sawtooth cornice in brickwork, below curb track. The tower was topped with a white ogee cap which has been removed. A set of railings was installed around the top in 1980. The sails, of which there were once six, were removed in 1940. Internally the tower still has all its floors and stairs but all the machinery has been removed.The mill is listed in the 1883 Kelly’s Directory for Cambridgeshire, Norfolk & Suffolk, with the miller who was also a baker and farmer. In 1904, the mill was powered by both wind and steam.

Ferry railway station was a railway station in Newton-in-the-Isle, Cambridgeshire. It was on the Midland and Great Northern Joint Railway between Sutton Bridge and Wisbech. Its location was fairly rural, and a large amount of its traffic would have been farm goods. The line it stood on closed in 1959.
