Greenlane

Ellerslie Racecourse railway station was a station on the first railway line in Auckland, New Zealand. The line ran between central Auckland and the suburb (and port) of Onehunga. It is called the Onehunga Line today, and is one of the four lines of the Auckland railway network. The platform provided access to the Ellerslie Racecourse. The racecourse was 4 miles (6.4 km) from the central station, and many race goers travelled by train, though as late as 1910 the journey was sometimes in open coal trucks and goods wagons because not enough passenger carriages were available.The station or platform opened in January 1874. There was a suggestion in January 1878 that it should move to Greenlane, but the Jockey Club did not agree. It was closed in September 1971. The surfaces of the two side platforms were removed long ago and they are now grassed over, but the concrete abutments facing the tracks are still extant.

Remuera Intermediate School (R.I) is a school catering for 11 to 13 year olds in Remuera, Auckland, New Zealand. It was founded in 1954. The current principal of the school is Kyle Brewerton. The school's current student count consists of 867 students, however the roll number varies between 850 and 1000 each year.

Cornwall Hospital was constructed in Cornwall Park, Auckland, New Zealand during World War II by the American Army and was named the 39th United States General Hospital. It accommodated casualties from the war in the Pacific. From 1945 it was leased by the Auckland Hospital Board to provide maternity and geriatric services and closed in 1975.

Cornwall Park is an expansive parkland in Epsom near the heart of Auckland, New Zealand, surrounding the park containing Maungakiekie pa or the hill of One Tree Hill. The two independent parks form one large park of 670 acres (270 hectares). The Park has centuries-old heritage sites, wide-open spaces, tree lined avenues and walks, places of peace and tranquility in a large city, sports grounds including tennis and bowls and a working farm for the education of city children. John Logan Campbell, Auckland resident since 1840 and, at the time of this gift, mayor, gave the park's 230 acres to a private trust on 10 June 1901. The adjoining Park Maungakiekie had been purchased by the national government in 1845 and since 2012 belongs to Ngā Mana Whenua o Tāmaki Makaurau Collective.Campbell chose to present the deeds the following day to the visiting heir to the throne, the Duke of Cornwall and York later George V asking his consent for it to be named Cornwall Park in honour of the Duke. A few weeks later the adjoining Alexandra Park was named in honour of the Duke's mother.

The Cornwall Cricket Club, known formally as the Cornwall Districts Cricket and Sports Association Incorporated, is a cricket club which was founded in 1895 in Auckland, New Zealand as Ponsonby Cricket Club. It claims the largest membership of any cricket club in New Zealand. The club's cricket ground is in Cornwall Park opposite the showgrounds at 210 Green Lane West, Epsom where it has been since 1952. Cornwall comes from the park's name given by the Duke of Cornwall later George V when visiting Auckland in 1901.The first recorded match on the ground was in 1958, when England women played a New Zealand women's touring team. The ground has also hosted three Women's Test matches and three Women's ODIs at the 1982 Women's Cricket World Cup.Max Cricket, invented by Martin Crowe, was launched here in 1996. The first match was televised on Sky and watched by a crowd of 8,000. The club twice held a Guinness World Record for the longest cricket marathon - 55 hours in 2008 followed up by playing for 100 hours non stop in 2010.Notable players include Dave Crowe, Jeff Crowe, Martin Crowe, Ian Gould, Adrian Dale, Paul Collingwood, Rob Nicol, Peter Webb, Adam Parore, Mark Greatbatch, Rodney Redmond and Graham Vivian.Club officers include businessman Roger Kerr.

Remuera is an affluent inner city suburb of Auckland, New Zealand. It is located four kilometres southeast of the city centre. Remuera is characterised by many large houses, often Edwardian or mid 20th century. A prime example of a "leafy" suburb, Remuera is noted for its quiet tree lined streets. The suburb has numerous green spaces, most obvious of which is Ōhinerau / Mount Hobson – a volcanic cone with views from the top overlooking Waitematā Harbour and Rangitoto. The suburb extends from Hobson Bay and the Ōrākei Basin on the Waitematā Harbour to the north and east, to the main thoroughfare of State Highway 1 in the southwest. It is surrounded by the suburbs of Ōrākei, Meadowbank, Saint Johns, Mount Wellington, Ellerslie, Greenlane, Epsom, Newmarket and Parnell. Remuera is home to many well-known New Zealanders, including the late Sir Edmund Hillary and the race car driver Bruce McLaren.

King's School is a primary school for boys from the Early Learning Centre (4-years-old) to Year 8 (13-years-old). It is situated in Auckland, New Zealand, and it also has strong links to the Anglican church; the Anglican Bishop of Auckland and the Dean of Auckland are permanent members of the school's Board Of Governors. The school sits on the former site of King's College and was established there on 6 June 1922 when the College moved to its current site in the South Auckland region of Otahuhu. Boys at King's School are offered a variety of curriculum activities. These include numeracy, literacy, Christian education, physical education, science, technology, art, music, drama, band and French.

Remuera railway station is a station serving the suburb of Remuera in Auckland, New Zealand. It is served by the Southern Line and the Onehunga Line, and consists of an island platform which is accessed by a ramp from the Market Road motorway overbridge. The station was opened in 1873. It includes a weatherboard and tile station building, typical of those designed by George Troup.

Remuera Library is a local branch of Auckland Libraries, serving the suburb of Remuera. It is housed in a historic building, which is considered to be a landmark in the area.

Greenlane Clinical Centre is a public hospital in Greenlane, Auckland, located on Green Lane West, near Cornwall Park. The hospital is administered by the Northern division of Te Whatu Ora providing outpatient and day surgery services to the Auckland Region. The healthcare facilities at Greenlane have seen many notable developments in New Zealand's healthcare.
