Pataudi State

Pataudi is one of the 90 assembly constituencies of Haryana, which is a northern state of India. It is also part of Gurgaon Lok Sabha constituency. It is reserved for members of the Scheduled Castes.

Pataudi is a town, a tehsil and one of the 4 sub-divisions of Gurugram district, in the Indian state of Haryana, within the boundaries of the National Capital Region of India. It is located 28 km (17.4 mi) southwest of Gurugram city. Gurgaon-Pataudi road, known as Pataudi Road, was a state highway, SH 26, and is being converted to a national highway, NH 352W, in 2023 as an alternative parallel highway to NH 48, the Delhi-Jaipur highway to reduce the congestion on NH 48. The road has been included as the new growth corridors in Gurugram.

The Pataudi Palace, also called Ibrahim Kothi, is a palace of the former ruling family Pataudi family in Pataudi town of Gurgaon district (now Gurugram district) in Haryana state of India. Passed from the last ruling nawab, Iftikhar Ali Khan, to his son, the last recognized titular nawab, Mansoor Ali Khan, the palace is currently held by his son Saif Ali Khan, who is the current patriarch of the Pataudi family. After the high-profile wedding between the nawab of Pataudi and the begum of Bhopal, the nawab felt the old family home was not grand enough to house his new bride in the manner she was accustomed. At the request of Iftikhar Ali Khan (1910–52), the 8th Nawab of Pataudi, the building was designed in the style of the colonial-era mansions of Imperial Delhi by Robert Tor Russell (1888–1972) assisted by the Karl Malte von Heinz. Many Hindi movies have been shot in the palace. It was repossessed by actor Saif Ali Khan, son of the last Nawab in 2014 and as of July 2015, the palace remained closed for renovations. The renovation was soon completed and the Pataudi family stays in the palace during winters. Nearby Akbar Manzil, built after 1857 as the official residence of the then Nawab, was later converted into a Judicial Complex.

Jori is a yadav village in the municipality of Farrukhnagar in the Gurgaon district of Haryana state in northern India. According to the 2011 Census, the population is 3,063 persons in 620 households.

Indian Defence University (abbr. IDU, ISO: Bhāratīya Rakṣā Viśvavidyālaya) is a defence service university set up for the affiliation of training academies of union government defence servants working under the Government of India. These union government defence servants can collectively be termed as generalist branch and specialist branch of the Indian Military. It is not to be confused with the Rashtriya Raksha University (RRU) which is focused on the police and para-military Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF), whereas IDU is focused on the military. It is located at Binola village in Gurugram district of Haryana state in India that is being built. It is proposed to be one of the Institutes of National Importance (INIs). It was first proposed in 1967, but is unlikely to become operational in the foreseeable future, despite periodic optimism. As of January 2020, only the perimeter road and boundary walls have been constructed, the construction of the main building and teaching infrastructure could not commence until the "Indian National Defence University (INDU) Act, 2015" is passed, which is still awaiting approval from the Union Cabinet and the Parliament of India in the form of a draft bill. It is located on the eastern flank of Delhi–Jaipur Expressway (NH 48), just 5 km (3.1 mi) southwest of Pachgaon Chowk on Western Peripheral Expressway, nearly 11 km (6.8 mi) southwest of National Security Guard base, 10 km (6.2 mi) northwest of Heritage Transport Museum, 26 km (16 mi) southwest of Gurugram CBD, and 43 km (27 mi) southwest of IGI International Airport. NHAI has established a bus bay for the university at NH48.
