Storfosna Church

Storfosna is a populated island in the municipality of Ørland in Trøndelag county, Norway. The 11-square-kilometre (4.2 sq mi) island is located between the islands of Kråkvåg and Garten north of the mouth of the Trondheimsfjorden. The traditional district of Fosen is named after this island. There is a large deer population on the island.The island is connected to the island of Kråkvåg by a causeway and bridge, and is connected to Garten (and the mainland) by a car ferry. The Storfosna Church is located on the island. The local and county governments are planning to build an undersea tunnel connecting Storfosna to the island of Garten (which is connected to the mainland by road).

Garten is a populated island in the municipality of Ørland in Trøndelag county, Norway. The island is located on the north side of the mouth of the Trondheimsfjorden, just southwest of the mainland. The 1.5-square-kilometre (370-acre) island lies about 2 kilometres (1.2 mi) southeast of the island of Storfosna. The main population center on the island is also referred to as the village of Garten. There is a bridge to the mainland as well as car ferry connections to the nearby island of Storfosna (also in Ørland municipality) and also to the island of Leksa (in neighboring Agdenes municipality) and to the mainland of Agdenes.

The Kjeungskjær Lighthouse (Norwegian: Kjeungskjær fyr) is a coastal lighthouse in the municipality of Ørland in Trøndelag county, Norway. The lighthouse is located on a tiny island at the mouth of the Bjugnfjorden about 3.5 kilometres (2.2 mi) west of the village of Uthaug and 5 kilometres (3.1 mi) south of the village of Nes in Bjugn municipality.

Ørlandet Radio (Norwegian: Ørlandet radio; callsign LFO) is a coast radio station in Ørland, Norway. Operated by Telenor Maritime Radio, it is remotely controlled from Florø Radio. The station is still used for transmission of marine VHF radio, medium frequency and Navtex. The station was built by the Wehrmacht during the Second World War. Florø Radio took over operations in 2004.

The Bjugnfjorden is a fjord in Ørland Municipality in Trøndelag county, Norway. The 14-kilometre (8.7 mi) long fjord begins at the village of Botngård and it heads to the west past the Kjeungskjær Lighthouse into the Atlantic Ocean. Other villages along the fjord include Nes and Uthaug. Bjugn Church is located on the southern shore of the fjord. The Stjørnfjorden lies about 6 kilometres (3.7 mi) south of it, on the other side of the Ørlandet peninsula.

Uthaug is a village in the municipality of Ørland in Trøndelag county, Norway. It is located on the south shore of the Bjugnfjorden about 4 kilometres (2.5 mi) west of the village of Opphaug, about 5 kilometres (3.1 mi) north of the town of Brekstad, and about 3 kilometres (1.9 mi) east of the Kjeungskjær Lighthouse. Ørland Airport lies just south of the village. The 0.38-square-kilometre (94-acre) village has a population (2018) of 394 and a population density of 1,037 inhabitants per square kilometre (2,690/sq mi).Uthaug is home to fish processing and concrete manufacturing industries. It also has a good harbor with a breakwater. The Uthaugsgården museum is an old preserved trading post that is located in the village.

Ørland Airport (Norwegian: Ørland lufthavn; IATA: OLA, ICAO: ENOL), also known as Ørland Airport, Brekstad (Ørland lufthavn, Brekstad) is the civilian sector of the Ørland Main Air Station. It is located 1.5 km (0.8 NM) northwest of the town of Brekstad, the administrative centre of the municipality of Ørland in Trøndelag county, Norway. The civilian sector is municipal, although the runway, air traffic control and rescue services are operated by the Royal Norwegian Air Force. The airport terminal, which has a capacity for 50 simultaneous passengers, was built in 1978 and renovated in 2007. It is served by Air Norway, operated by North Flying, with a daily round trip to Oslo and a weekly service to Aalborg. Ørland is the main airport for the district of Fosen, and it is located close enough to the city of Trondheim that Ryanair has considered it as a secondary airport. A car ferry must be used to reach the airport from Trondheim. The airport served 5,546 passengers in 2014.

Ørland Main Air Station (IATA: OLA, ICAO: ENOL) (Norwegian: Ørland hovedflystasjon) is situated at the mouth of the Trondheimsfjorden in the municipality of Ørland in Trøndelag county in the center of Norway. Ørland is operated by the Royal Norwegian Air Force and is an important air base not only for Norway, but also for NATO. The air station is the base of F-35A Lightning II and F-16 Fighting Falcon fighter aircraft, Westland Sea King search and rescue helicopters and a location for E-3A Sentry AWACS. It is also the host of many NATO exercises. In addition, Danish Air Transport operates a scheduled route with an ATR 42 (Most commonly an ATR 42-320/500) 36-48 seater aircraft to Oslo Airport, Gardermoen operating two daily rotations, one in the morning and one in the late afternoon (Typical rush hours).

Nes is a former municipality in the old Sør-Trøndelag county, Norway. The municipality existed from 1899 until its dissolution in 1964. The 60-square-kilometre (23 sq mi) municipality encompassed the coastal land north of the Bjugnfjorden as well as the Tarva islands in what is now the municipality of Ørland in Trøndelag county. The administrative centre of Nes was the village of Nes where the Nes Church is located.

Nes is a village in Ørland municipality in Trøndelag county, Norway. The village is located on the western coast of the Fosen peninsula, just 8 kilometres (5.0 mi) east of the Tarva islands. Nes is located along the Norwegian County Road 115, about 12 kilometres (7.5 mi) west of the village of Botngård. Nes Church is located in the village. The village was once the administrative centre of the old municipality of Nes which existed from 1899 until its dissolution in 1964.

Nes Church (Norwegian: Nes kirke) is a parish church of the Church of Norway in Ørland municipality in Trøndelag county, Norway. It is located in the village of Nes, about 7 kilometres (4.3 mi) southwest of the village of Oksvoll and 11 kilometres (6.8 mi) west of the village of Botngård. It is the main church for the Nes parish which is part of the Fosen prosti (deanery) in the Diocese of Nidaros. The white, wooden church was built in a long church style in 1878 using plans drawn up by the architect Otinius Forbrægd. The church seats about 350 people.
