Roeper School (Michigan)

The Gregor S. and Elizabeth B. Affleck House, also known as the Affleck House, is a Frank Lloyd Wright designed Usonian home in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, in Metro Detroit. It is one of only about 25 pre-World War II Usonians to be built. It is owned by Lawrence Technological University. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on October 3, 1985.

The H. Augustus and Agnes Cleveland O'Dell House, also known as the Inch House, is a single family home located at 1945 Tiverton Road in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. The house was designed by architect H. Augustus O'Dell for his personal use, and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2009.

Bloomfield Hills is a city in Oakland County in the U.S. state of Michigan. An affluent northern suburb of Detroit on the Woodward Corridor, Bloomfield Hills is located roughly 20 miles (32.2 km) northwest of downtown Detroit, and is surrounded on most sides by Bloomfield Township. As of the 2020 census, the city had a population of 4,460.

Lahser High School was a high school in Bloomfield Township, Oakland County, Michigan, near Bloomfield Hills and in Greater Detroit. It was a part of Bloomfield Hills Schools. The school was opened in 1967. At the time it had 200 students, and enrollment later reached almost 900 students. In 2010, the decision was made to merge the school with sister school Andover High School, on Andover's grounds. In 2020, it was decided that the Lahser campus would become the site of Bloomfield Hills Middle School North following a successful bond proposal. The football program had five consecutive playoff-eligible seasons, 2002–2006, in both class 3 and class 2 MHSAA competition.Lahser won several MHSAA state championships including: men's soccer (1999), men's/women's tennis (men's, 2002), women's lacrosse, and women's golf. Lahser competed within the Oakland Activities Association Blue Division for football. Most of Lahser's students came from Bloomfield Hills and Bloomfield Township. Lahser's crosstown rival was Andover High School, which is the current site of the merged Bloomfield Hills High School

Cranbrook Schools is a private PK–12 educational institution located on a 319-acre (129 ha) campus in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. It includes a co-educational elementary school, a middle school with separate schools for boys and girls, and a co-educational college-preparatory high school with boarding facilities. Cranbrook Schools is part of the Cranbrook Educational Community (CEC), which includes the Cranbrook Institute of Science, the Cranbrook Academy of Art, and Cranbrook House and Gardens. Christ Church Cranbrook is also on campus. The Cranbrook community was established by publishing mogul George Booth, who bought the site of today's Cranbrook community in 1904. Cranbrook was designated a National Historic Landmark on June 29, 1989, for its significant architecture and design. It attracts tourists from around the world. Approximately 40 acres (160,000 m2) of Cranbrook Schools' campus are gardens. As of 2023, Cranbrook Schools had an endowment of $217 million, among the fifteen largest held by America's boarding schools. In addition, the Cranbrook Educational Community, of which the schools is a member, had an endowment in excess of $300 million in 2007.As of 2021 it had 1,656 students, making it Michigan's largest private school by enrollment in a single campus.

Bloomfield Township is a charter township in Oakland County in the U.S. state of Michigan. A northern suburb of Detroit, Bloomfield Township is located roughly 20 miles (32 km) northwest of downtown Detroit. As of the 2020 census, the township had a population of 44,253.Established in 1827, it is the oldest township of Oakland County. In 2014, Bloomfield Township was ranked the most expensive community in which to live in the state of Michigan with a median home price of $224,977.

The Trowbridge Road-Grand Trunk Western Railroad Bridge was a bridge carrying Trowbridge Road over the Grand Trunk Western Railroad in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2000 and removed in 2023.

Pontiac East Assembly (also known as Pontiac Assembly Center and GMC Truck & Coach Division Plant 6) was a General Motors manufacturing facility located in Pontiac, Michigan. The manufacturing complex at 2100 South Opdyke Road occupied a rectangular 162-acre site directly east of the GM Pontiac Centerpoint Complex. Hourly workers were represented by UAW Local 594. The plant closed in 2009 and was demolished in 2011.

The Cranbrook Educational Community is an education, research, and public museum complex in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. This National Historic Landmark was founded in the early 20th century by newspaper mogul George Gough Booth. It consists of Cranbrook Schools, Cranbrook Academy of Art, Cranbrook Art Museum, Cranbrook Institute of Science, and Cranbrook House and Gardens. The founders also built Christ Church Cranbrook as a focal point in order to serve the educational complex. However, the church is a separate entity under the Episcopal Diocese of Michigan. The sprawling 319-acre (1,290,000 m2) campus began as a 174-acre (700,000 m2) farm, purchased in 1904. The organization takes its name from Cranbrook, England, the birthplace of the founder's father. Cranbrook is renowned for its architecture in the Arts and Crafts and Art Deco styles. The chief architect was Eliel Saarinen while Albert Kahn was responsible for the Booth mansion. Sculptors Carl Milles and Marshall Fredericks also spent many years in residence at Cranbrook.

The Minoru and Teruko (Hirashiki) Yamasaki House is a private house located at 3717 Lakecrest Drive in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. It was the home of architect Minoru Yamasaki, designed by him in 1972. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2013.

The Thomas W. and Margaret Taliaferro House is a single-family home located at 1115 Eton Cross in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2011.

The International Academy (IA) is a public, magnet high school with its main campus located in Bloomfield Township, Oakland County, Michigan, with additional campuses in White Lake Township, Michigan and Troy, Michigan. Students are required to earn both high school and International Baccalaureate (IB) diplomas. In 2020, according to IA, 92% of the graduates earned IB diplomas, compared to the world average of 79%.
