Nunton

Odstock is a village and civil parish 3 miles (4.8 km) south of Salisbury in Wiltshire, England. The parish includes the village of Nunton with its nearby hamlet of Bodenham. The parish is in the valley of the River Ebble, which joins the Hampshire Avon near Bodenham. In the woods about Odstock are earthworks. The meaning of the name is probably "Odo's stockade".Odstock Down is a biological Site of Special Scientific Interest.

Salisbury District Hospital is a large hospital on Odstock Road, Britford, Wiltshire, England, about 1+1⁄2 miles (2.4 km) south of the centre of the city of Salisbury. It is managed by the Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust.

Britford Water Meadows (grid reference SU166274) is a biological Site of Special Scientific Interest at Britford, south of Salisbury in Wiltshire. It has an area of 45 acres (18 ha) and was notified in 1975.

Clearbury Ring is a univallate Iron Age hillfort which is partly in the parish of Downton in the county of Wiltshire in south-west England, approximately 5 kilometres (3 mi) due south of Salisbury city centre. The site, which is a scheduled monument, straddles the boundary with Odstock parish, and a slight scarp runs across the interior of the fort, marking the parish boundary.The fort occupies a prominent hilltop overlooking the valley of the River Avon, at an altitude of 142 metres (466 ft) above mean sea level. The hillfort is immediately adjacent to the Clearbury Down Site of Special Scientific Interest, but is not included within it.Clearbury Ring encloses an area of approximately 2 hectares (4.9 acres); the rampart is well preserved and consisted of a single bank with a ditch outside it. The fort had a single entrance on the north-west side, consisting simply of a 10-metre (33 ft) wide gap with a causeway across the ditch. Traces of a quarry are evident within the fort's interior. The fort is overgrown with tree cover. In 1632, Clearbury Ring was recorded as Clereburu. A paleolithic hand axe was found here. To the south-west of the fort are the remains of a lynchet, consisting of a steep 2-metre (6 ft 7 in) high scarp that runs parallel to the fort's defences. Two other lynchets have been identified near the fort, although they are not as well-preserved, together with faint traces of ancient field boundaries.

The River Ebble is one of the five rivers of the English city of Salisbury. Rising at Alvediston to the west of the city, it joins the River Avon at Bodenham, near Nunton.

Britford is a village and civil parish beside the River Avon about 1.5 miles (2.4 km) south-east of Salisbury in Wiltshire, England. The village is just off the A338 Salisbury-Bournemouth road. The 2011 Census recorded a parish population of 592.

Little Woodbury is the name of an Iron Age archaeological site in Britford parish, near Salisbury in the English county of Wiltshire. The site, which is just north of Salisbury District Hospital, is a scheduled monument.The site lies about 1+1⁄4 miles (2.0 km) south of the centre of Salisbury and 1 mile (1.6 km) north of Odstock village, at grid reference SU149279. It was partially excavated in 1938 and 1939 by Gerhard Bersu. In excavations like Little Woodbury he introduced the revolutionary approaches in the excavation of settlements (e.g. the identification of timber post remains) developed in continental Europe during previous decades.

Clearbury Down (grid reference SU152240) is a 13.3 hectare biological Site of Special Scientific Interest in Wiltshire, England. It is above the village of Charlton-All-Saints in the parish of Downton, south of Salisbury. The site was notified in 1971.

East Harnham Meadows (grid reference SU151289) is a 17.29 hectare biological Site of Special Scientific Interest in Wiltshire, England, in the Harnham suburb to the south-east of the city of Salisbury. The water-meadows are in the flood-plain of the River Avon. The site was notified in 1995 for its herb-rich grassland.
