Kensington Park is an eastern suburb of Adelaide in the City of Burnside in South Australia. It is bordered by Magill Road to the north, Glynburn Road to the east, Kensington Road to the south, and Gurrs and Shipsters Roads to the west. It is home to the Regal Theatre (formerly Chelsea Cinema) and all three campuses of Pembroke School.

The Regal Theatre, formerly known as the Chelsea Cinema, the Princess Theatre and the Ozone Marryatville or Marryatville Ozone Theatre, is a single-screen cinema in Kensington Park, a suburb of Adelaide, South Australia. Originally built in 1925, it retains the features of a major renovation in Art Deco style in 1941, and was heritage-listed on the state register in 1983. It is the oldest continuously running purpose-built cinema in Adelaide, and the only remaining silent cinema still operating. As of July 2020 the cinema is closed for refurbishment, although restrictions on cinemas due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Australia have lifted.

Marryatville is a small suburb about 4–5 kilometres (2.5–3.1 mi) east of Adelaide's central business district, in the local council area of City of Norwood Payneham St Peters. Comprising low- to medium-density housing, two large schools, a church and several shops, it also has two creeks running through it. The first European settler on the land was George Brunskill in 1839, with part of the land purchased and laid out as a village in 1848 by James Philcox.

Marryatville High School (MHS) is a public state secondary school in Adelaide, South Australia. The school is situated on a large area of land in the eastern suburb of Marryatville, part of the City of Norwood Payneham and St Peters. First Creek cuts through the school grounds and large gum trees line the property. The school was founded in 1976 during the Dunstan era, from the amalgamation of the Norwood Boys' Technical High School and the Kensington & Norwood Girls' High School.

East Torrens was an electoral district of the House of Assembly in the Australian state of South Australia from 1857 to 1902 and again from 1915 to 1938.East Torrens was also the name of an electoral district of the unicameral South Australian Legislative Council from 1851 until its abolition in 1857, George Waterhouse (July 1851 to June 1854), Charles Fenn (June 1854 to August 1855) and John Bristow Hughes (September 1855 to February 1857) being the members.

The Kensington Oval is located on 344 The Parade, Kensington, South Australia. Now used primarily for cricket in South Australia, the venue was once Adelaide's premier athletics facility and known as Olympic Sports Field.

Loreto College Marryatville is an independent Roman Catholic primary and secondary day and boarding school for girls, located in Marryatville, an inner-eastern suburb of Adelaide located about 4 kilometres (2.5 mi) from the Adelaide city centre, in South Australia, Australia. Established in 1905, the school is one of many around the world directed by the Institute of the Blessed Virgin Mary (IBVM). It caters for some 1,000 students from Reception to Year 12, including 70 boarders.

Pembroke School is an Australian independent co-educational and non-denominational day and boarding school located in Kensington Park, a suburb 6 kilometres (3.7 mi) east of the centre of Adelaide, South Australia. It was founded in 1974 as an amalgamation of King's College, a boys' school, and the Girton Girls' School.The school is on two campuses catering for approximately 1700 students from the Early Learning Centre (ELC) to Year 12, including up to 125 boarders in Years 7 to 12. Hazelwood Park is a park in the Australian state of South Australia located in the suburb of Hazelwood Park within the Adelaide Metropolitan Area.First creek continues its journey from the hills through the park, the water flowing from Waterfall Gully and into Tusmore. The park contains an assortment of play areas, picnic tables and barbecues. It is relatively large by suburban standards, but unusually there are no playing fields. It is strongly characterised by massive old eucalyptus trees that can be seen from blocks away. Although it is well facilitated, it is normally not as popular as the nearby smaller Tusmore Park. Hazelwood Park was listed on the South Australian Heritage Register on 11 May 1995.

Hazelwood Park is an upper class suburb in the City of Burnside, Adelaide, South Australia with a census area population of 1,717 people. The suburb is about 5 kilometres east of the Central business district. Hazelwood Park, a suburban park inside the suburb, is the major attraction in the suburb and is the start of the flat country of the Adelaide Plains at the bottom of the Adelaide Hills. Adjacent Howard Terrace is considered to be the end of the Plains and the start of the foothills. Hazelwood Park includes the Burnside Swimming Centre, a popular site in the summer. Much of the remainder of the suburb is residential but there is a small shopping area along Glynburn Road on the eastern edge. The area was first settled by Europeans in 1848 but has seen many community changes over the years. The suburb is split in half by Greenhill Road, to the north there are residential dwellings and the park. To the south and east are the foothills of the Mount Lofty Ranges with continued residential properties. Hazelwood Park is bounded to the north by Knightsbridge Road, to the east by Glynburn Road, to the south by Cooper Place and to the west by Devereux Road and a line along the back of the blocks between Hazelwood and Tusmore avenues.
