The Wen Ying Hall (traditional Chinese: 文英館; simplified Chinese: 文英馆; pinyin: Wényīng Guǎn) is a cultural center in North District, Taichung, Taiwan.

The Taichung Mayor's House (traditional Chinese: 台中市長公館; simplified Chinese: 台中市长公馆; pinyin: Táizhōng Shìzhǎng Gōngguǎn) is a former residence of Taichung Mayor in North District, Taichung, Taiwan.

The Taichung Park (Chinese: 臺中公園; pinyin: Táizhōng gōngyuán) is an urban park in North District, Taichung, Taiwan. It is the oldest park in Taichung. It was built when Taiwan was under Japanese rule and is also called “Chungshan Park” (中山公園; 'Sun Yat-sen park').

The Taichung Baseball Field (Chinese: 台中棒球場; pinyin: Táizhōng Bàngqiú Chǎng) is a multi-purpose stadium in North District, Taichung, Taiwan. Built in 1935 during the Taiwan under Japanese rule era, this stadium has been repeatedly refurbished and currently can seat 8,500 people. This stadium has been the home of professional baseball teams such as Jungo Bears (1993–1995), Sinon Bears (first half 1996), Sinon Bulls(second half 1996–2012) of Chinese Professional Baseball League (CPBL) and Taichung Agan(1997–2002) of Taiwan Major League (TML). This stadium has long been a part of the National Taiwan College of Physical Education's campus and caused certain inconvenience when hosting professional baseball games. A new baseball stadium, the Taichung Intercontinental Baseball Stadium, opened in November 2006 to host the 2006 Intercontinental Cup, and it became the new home of the Sinon Bulls starting in 2010 season. Taichung Baseball Field no longer hosts professional baseball games and is only used for educational and training purposes.

The Taichung Municipal T̲aic̲hung F̲irst S̲enior H̲igh School (TCFSH; Chinese: 臺中市立臺中第一高級中等學校, simply as 台中一中) is a senior high school in North District, Taichung, Taiwan. TCFSH was the first high school founded by Taiwanese to educate their youngsters during the colonial days under Taiwan under Japanese rule.

National Taichung University of Science and Technology (NTCUST; Chinese: 國立臺中科技大學; Pe̍h-ōe-jī: Kok-li̍p Tâi-tiong Kho-ki Tāi-ha̍k) is a technical vocational university located in North District, Taichung, Taiwan. In Taiwan it is also known as 台中科大 (pinyin: tái zhōng kē dà; Pe̍h-ōe-jī: Tâi-tiong Kho-tāi). The university began as two separate universities, National Taichung Institute of Technology (國立台中技術學院; Pe̍h-ōe-jī: Kok-li̍p Tâi-tiong Ki-su̍t Ha̍k-īⁿ) and National Taichung Nursing College (國立台中護理專科學校). The two schools merged on December 1, 2011 to form National Taichung University of Science and Technology. The San-min campus is located on Sanmin Rd. near Yizhong Street shopping area, while the Min-sheng campus, where the College of Health is located, is down the same road near Taichung Hospital. The academic division of the university is composed of five colleges and one committee.

The Sunshine Plaza Outlet (Chinese: 日曜天地OUTLET) is an outlet shopping mall located in Central District, Taichung, Taiwan and officially opened in May 2008. The outlet mall has a floor area of 6,600 m2 (71,000 sq ft), which spans 4 floors, and houses about 150 brands, mainly in high-quality bags, imported brands and American leisure, as well as high-quality restaurants such as Italian restaurants.

The Chungyo Department Store (Chinese: 中友百貨公司) is a shopping mall in North District, Taichung, Taiwan that opened on 30 April 1992. With a total floor area of 89,100 m2 (959,000 sq ft) and 2000 parking spaces, the mall has 15 floors above ground and three basement levels. Main core stores include Muji, Eslite Bookstore, Uniqlo, H&M, Jasons Market Place and various themed restaurants. The lavatories of the mall were featured on a list of the world's top 10 public restrooms by the UK-based Cheapflights website.

The Taichung Broadcasting Bureau (traditional Chinese: 臺中放送局; simplified Chinese: 台中放送局; pinyin: Táizhōng Fàngsòng Jú) is a former radio station in North District, Taichung, Taiwan.

Taiwan Provincial Stadium (now Taichung Municipal Stadium) is a multi-use stadium in North District, Taichung, Taiwan. It is currently used mostly for football matches. The stadium is able to hold 30,000 people and was opened in 1950.

Taichung (, Wade–Giles: Tʻai²-chung¹, pinyin: Táizhōng), officially Taichung City, is a special municipality located in central Taiwan. Taichung has approximately 2.85 million residents and is the second largest city of Taiwan, as well as the most populous city in Central Taiwan. It serves as the core of the Taichung–Changhua metropolitan area, the second largest metropolitan area in Taiwan. Located in the Taichung Basin, the city was initially developed from several scattered hamlets helmed by the Taiwanese indigenous peoples. It was constructed to be the new capital of Taiwan Province and renamed as "Taiwan-fu" in the late Qing dynastic era between 1887 and 1894. During the Japanese era from 1895, the urban planning of present-day city of Taichung was performed and developed by the Japanese. From the start of ROC rule in 1945, the urban area of Taichung was organized as a provincial city up until 25 December 2010, when the original provincial city and Taichung County were merged into a new special municipality.The city is home to the National Museum of Natural Science, the National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts, the National Taichung Theater, the National Library of Public Information, and the National Taiwan Symphony Orchestra, as well as many cultural sites, including the historic Taichung Park, the Lin Family Gardens, and many temples.

The Diocese of Taichung (Latin: Dioecesis Taichungensis) is a Latin Church diocese of the Catholic Church in Taiwan. Originally erected as an Apostolic Prefecture of Taichung in 1950, the Prefecture was elevated to a full diocese in 1962. The diocese is a suffragan of the Archdiocese of Taipei. The current bishop is Martin Su Yao-wen, appointed in June 2007.
