Taichung Park

The Sunshine Plaza Outlet (Chinese: 日曜天地OUTLET) is an outlet shopping mall located in Central District, Taichung, Taiwan and officially opened in May 2008. The outlet mall has a floor area of 6,600 m2 (71,000 sq ft), which spans 4 floors, and houses about 150 brands, mainly in high-quality bags, imported brands and American leisure, as well as high-quality restaurants such as Italian restaurants.

Yizhong Street (Chinese: 一中商圈; pinyin: Yī Zhōng Shāng Quān) is a pedestrian street located in North District, Taichung, Taiwan. It is located between Sanmin Rd. (三民路), Yizhong St.(一中街), Taiping Rd.(太平路), Yucai St.(育才街), Yucai South St.(育才南街) and Yucai North St.(育才北街). In 2006, according to the survey conducted by National Chung Hsing University, it is elected as the most popular shopping area in Taichung.

Taichung (, Wade–Giles: Tʻai²-chung¹, pinyin: Táizhōng), officially Taichung City, is a special municipality located in central Taiwan. Taichung has approximately 2.85 million residents and is the second largest city of Taiwan, as well as the most populous city in Central Taiwan. It serves as the core of the Taichung–Changhua metropolitan area, the second largest metropolitan area in Taiwan. Located in the Taichung Basin, the city was initially developed from several scattered hamlets helmed by the Taiwanese indigenous peoples. It was constructed to be the new capital of Taiwan Province and renamed as "Taiwan-fu" in the late Qing dynastic era between 1887 and 1894. During the Japanese era from 1895, the urban planning of present-day city of Taichung was performed and developed by the Japanese. From the start of ROC rule in 1945, the urban area of Taichung was organized as a provincial city up until 25 December 2010, when the original provincial city and Taichung County were merged into a new special municipality.The city is home to the National Museum of Natural Science, the National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts, the National Taichung Theater, the National Library of Public Information, and the National Taiwan Symphony Orchestra, as well as many cultural sites, including the historic Taichung Park, the Lin Family Gardens, and many temples.

The Diocese of Taichung (Latin: Dioecesis Taichungensis) is a Latin Church diocese of the Catholic Church in Taiwan. Originally erected as an Apostolic Prefecture of Taichung in 1950, the Prefecture was elevated to a full diocese in 1962. The diocese is a suffragan of the Archdiocese of Taipei. The current bishop is Martin Su Yao-wen, appointed in June 2007.

Central District (Chinese: 中區; pinyin: Zhōng Qū) is an urban district in Taichung City, Taiwan. It is located at the heart of the city, though it has seen decline in recent years as newer districts nearby like Xitun has seen growth. It is the smallest district and township-level subdivision in Taiwan and the only one with an area under 1 km².

National Taichung University of Science and Technology (NTCUST; Chinese: 國立臺中科技大學; Pe̍h-ōe-jī: Kok-li̍p Tâi-tiong Kho-ki Tāi-ha̍k) is a technical vocational university located in North District, Taichung, Taiwan. In Taiwan it is also known as 台中科大 (pinyin: tái zhōng kē dà; Pe̍h-ōe-jī: Tâi-tiong Kho-tāi). The university began as two separate universities, National Taichung Institute of Technology (國立台中技術學院; Pe̍h-ōe-jī: Kok-li̍p Tâi-tiong Ki-su̍t Ha̍k-īⁿ) and National Taichung Nursing College (國立台中護理專科學校). The two schools merged on December 1, 2011 to form National Taichung University of Science and Technology. The San-min campus is located on Sanmin Rd. near Yizhong Street shopping area, while the Min-sheng campus, where the College of Health is located, is down the same road near Taichung Hospital. The academic division of the university is composed of five colleges and one committee.

Taichung City Second Market (Chinese: 臺中市第二市場; pinyin: Táizhōngshì Dì'èr Shìchǎng), formerly Shintomichō Market, is a public market located in Central District, Taichung, Taiwan that is known for its local cuisine.

The Chang Hwa Bank Headquarters and Museum (traditional Chinese: 彰化銀行總行及行史館; simplified Chinese: 彰化银行总行及行史馆; pinyin: Zhānghuà Yínháng Zǒngháng Jíxíng Shǐguǎn) is the headquarters office of Chang Hwa Bank and museum located in Central District, Taichung, Taiwan.

ASEAN Square (Chinese: 東協廣場) is a shopping center located in Central District, Taichung, Taiwan. The mall opened in 1990 and is located in close proximity to Taichung railway station.
