Montcalm is an unincorporated community in the town of Enfield in Grafton County, New Hampshire, United States. It is located along a portion of old New Hampshire Route 10 that remains after most of the road was replaced by Interstate 89. The stretch of old road is only accessible from Exit 15 on I-89; in both directions from the exit the old road reaches a dead end. (Present-day Route 10 follows Interstate 89 in a concurrency through this area.) The elevation is 1,211 feet (369 m) above sea level.The name "Montcalm" was chosen by Enfield's selectmen in 1960 when the construction of I-89 was in the planning stages, to replace the name "South Notch" that had been proposed by state highway engineers. Montcalm had once been the name of a settlement in the area which had had its own post office and school.

Mount Assurance is a mountain in New Hampshire, United States. It is close to Enfield and Mascoma Lake. It is possible to hike up the mountain. The Shaker community in Enfield treated the peak as being sacred.

The Enfield Shaker Museum is an outdoor history museum and historic district in Enfield, New Hampshire, in the United States. It is dedicated to preserving and sharing the history of the Shakers, a Protestant religious denomination, who lived on the site from 1793 to 1923. The museum features exhibitions, artifacts, eight Shaker buildings and restored Shaker gardens. It is located in a valley between Mount Assurance and Mascoma Lake in Enfield.One of the buildings, the Great Stone Dwelling, was the largest residential building north of Boston and is the largest Shaker building. When the Shaker community closed, most of the land that made up the Enfield Shaker Village was sold to the Missionaries of La Salette. The state owns 28 acres (11 ha) and 13 buildings, which is now the Enfield Shaker Museum.

Mascoma Lake is a 1,158-acre (469 ha) lake in western New Hampshire, United States. Most of the lake is within the town of Enfield, while a small portion is within the city of Lebanon, where it drains into the Mascoma River, a tributary of the Connecticut River. The lake's general trend is from southeast to northwest, with the outlet at the northwestern end. The Mascoma River enters the lake near its halfway point, from the northeastern side, at the town center of Enfield. The southeastern end of the lake is fed by the Knox River. The lake's average depth is 30 feet (9.1 m) with a maximum depth of 68 feet (21 m).The lake freezes during winter and is stable enough to be walked upon. Ice fishing is popular on the lake. The lake is stocked with trout by the New Hampshire Fish and Game Department. Mascoma Lake often has a spring cyanobacteria bloom. Recent studies suggest that significant exposure to high levels of cyanobacteria producing toxins such as BMAA can cause amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). People living within half a mile of cyanobacterially contaminated lakes have had a 2.3 times greater risk of developing ALS than the rest of the population; people around Lake Mascoma had an up to 25 times greater risk of ALS than the expected incidence.In June 2009 the State of New Hampshire discouraged people from recreation in some areas of the lake because of the bloom. Aside from the bloom, the lake is generally considered safe for swimming, and the town of Enfield maintains a public beach with a lifeguard on the lake. NASA and its partners have used the frozen lake to test a robotic rover as a simulation of Antarctica.Mascoma Lake is home to the Dartmouth College sailing team. A community sailing club called the Mascoma Sailing Club also uses the lake.

Spring Hill Farm is a historic farm at 263 Meriden Road in Lebanon, New Hampshire. Founded in the late 18th century, the farm is noted for innovations in dairy farming practices introduced in the 1920s by Maurice Downs. It is also one of a small number of surviving farm properties in the town, and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2002.

The town includes the villages of Enfield, Enfield Center, Upper Shaker Village, Lower Shaker Village, Lockehaven, and Montcalm. Enfield village, the primary settlement in town, where 1,571 people resided at the 2020 census, is defined as the Enfield census-designated place (CDP), centered on U.S. Route 4 and the inlet of the Mascoma River into Mascoma Lake.

The Hewitt House is a historic house on United States Route 4 in Enfield, New Hampshire. Built in 1871, it is a particularly fine example of late Italianate architecture, built for the manager of local woolen mills. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985, and included in the Enfield Village Historic District in 2010.

Upper Valley Educators Institute is a non-profit graduate teachers college based in New Hampshire. UVEI was founded in 1969. Initially, the program focused on teacher preparation, and later expanded to include school administration. The Graduate School of Education was established in 2010 to offer master's degrees and merged into UVEI in 2021. The institute also provides continuing education and community outreach and participates in education research. Elijah Hawkes, author of School for the Age of Upheaval: Classrooms that Get Personal, Get Political and Get to Work, is the institute's Director of School Leadership Programs. The institute's first director, Barbara Ragle Barnes, was the first person to receive the Master of Arts in Liberal Studies from Dartmouth College. The institute is a candidate for accreditation through the New England Commission of Higher Education. It is part of a wave of "new graduate schools of education," or nGSEs, established since 2000.
