The ifs internationale filmschule köln gmbh (international film school cologne) is a privately funded film school in Cologne, Northrhine-Westphalia, Germany. The film school was founded by Filmstiftung NRW. In the German film school ranking of Focus (issue 22/2006), the international filmschool cologne—together with the Academy of Media Arts Cologne and the dffb—were ranked as second after the Film Academy Baden-Württemberg. Evaluation criteria were the reputation of the university, the support for the students, the technical equipment and the number of awards won.

Rudolfplatz is an interchange station and hub on the Cologne Stadtbahn lines 1, 7, 12 and 15 in the Cologne district of Innenstadt. The station is located at Rudolfplatz, a major junction between the Cologne Ring and Aachener Straße. The Kölnischer Kunstverein is an art museum in Cologne, North Rhine-Westphalia state, Germany. It is named after the historical art society of the same name. The Kölnischer Kunstverein was a "Kunstverein" established in Cologne in 1839.In the 20th Century, the Kölnischer Kunstverein held exhibitions of works by Hans Arp in 1919, Paul Klee in 1932, and Fluxus artists in the 1970s.The building that housed the Kölnischer Kunstverein and its exhibitions was demolished in 2002. The Kölnischer Kunstverein now generally refers to that building and the history of the society.

The Belgian Quarter (German: Belgisches Viertel, German pronunciation: [ˈbɛlɡɪʃəs ˌfɪʁtl̩], Colognian pronunciation: [ət ˌbɛl²jeʃə ˈfe²dəl]) is an inner city district of Cologne, Germany. The name is derived from street names in the vicinity, referring to Belgian provinces or cities. In the northern part of the Quarter, street names such as Goebenstraße, Werderstraße, Moltkestraße and Spichernstraße celebrate the leaders and victories of Prussia in the Franco-Prussian War of 1870–1871 which brought down the Second French Empire and led to the creation of a new German Empire.At the heart of the Belgian Quarter is the Brüsseler Platz, or Brussels Square, dominated by the neo-Romanesque St Michael's Church, built between 1902 and 1906. On warm summer nights the square can fill with hundreds of young people having fun, keeping residents from their sleep.With a wide variety of cuisine, this Veedel (the local language term for quarter) of Cologne is now considered fashionable, and in the July 2010 issue of the lifestyle magazine Prinz it was named as the part of the city most worth living in. The publication's web site continues to praise it as an "upmarket residential district and meeting place for the creative arts". The TV show NightWash was set in a laundrette in the district for years.

It was started in Cologne, in Nordrhein-Westfalen in western Germany, in 1969 by Michael Werner, who had taken over the Galerie Hake there.: 505  Werner showed work by post-War German artists such as Georg Baselitz, Jörg Immendorff, A.R. The Basilica of the Holy Apostles (German: Basilika St. Aposteln, German pronunciation: [ˌzaŋt ʔaˈpɔstl̩n], Colognian pronunciation: [ˌtsɪnt ʔaˈpɔsˑtəl]) is a Romanesque church in Cologne (Köln), located near Innenstadt's busy Neumarkt (Köln). The former collegiate church is dedicated to the twelve Apostles. It is one of the twelve Romanesque churches built in Cologne in that period.The church has a basilical plan of nave and aisles, and like Groß St. Martin and St. Maria im Kapitol, has three apses at the east end making a trefoil plan. There is a single tower of 67 metres at the west.
