Wadern

The Wadrill is a river of Saarland and Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. It is a right tributary of the Prims, which it joins south of Wadern.

The Löster or Lösterbach is a right tributary of the Prims in Rhineland-Palatinate and Saarland.

Dagstuhl Castle (in German: Burgruine Dagstuhl or Burg Dagstuhl) is a ruined castle on the top of a hill near the town of Wadern, kreis Merzig-Wadern, in Saarland, Germany. It overlooks the newer Schloss Dagstuhl in the valley below, which is historic, but has been converted for use as a meeting centre for computer science. The castle was founded by Knight Boemund of Saarbrücken sometime before 1290, probably for Bohemond I von Warnesberg, Archbishop of Trier. The name derives from the German word for roof, "Dach", because of the roof-like shape of the hill on which the castle stands.The castle ruins have been archaeologically explored and were improved for public access in 2004.

Dagstuhl is a computer science research center in Germany, located in and named after a district of the town of Wadern, Merzig-Wadern, Saarland.

Michelbach (Saar) (German: [ˈmɪçl̩ˌbax] ) is a small community in the Saarland, Germany. It is part of the municipality of Schmelz (Saar), and is situated in the district of Saarlouis. It's near the gate of the Hochwald region of the Saarland. As of 2011, there were 840 residents within the community.The community has an average elevation of 288 meters above the sea level.

The Schimmelkopf or Weiskircher Höhe is a mountain that rises in the Schwarzwälder Hochwald (part of the Hunsrück) on the boundary between the counties of Trier-Saarburg (Rhineland-Palatinate) and Merzig-Wadern (Saarland) and, at 694.8 m above sea level (NHN), is the second highest peak in the German state of Saarland.

Schmelz is a municipality in the district of Saarlouis, in Saarland, Germany. It is situated approximately 15 km northeast of Saarlouis, and 25 km northwest of Saarbrücken. The town of Schmelz (which translates to Glaze) is made of six municipalities, Schmelz itself – which consists of Außen and Bettingen – and Hüttersdorf, Limbach, Michelbach, Primsweiler, and Dorf im Bohnental. These independent villages in the Saarlouis district date back to Roman times. A native of Schmelz would be called a Schmelzer as in a person from Berlin being referred to as a Berliner.

The Holzbach is a stream in the state of Saarland, Germany, in the uplands of the Schwarzwälder Hochwald. It flows into the Losheimer Bach at Nunkirchen.

The Lankelz Railway in Esch-sur-Alzette, south-eastern Luxembourg, is a miniature railway on a scale of one third normal size (7+1⁄4 in (184 mm) gauge). The railway operates on Sunday afternoons and public holidays from May to mid-October.Constructed in 1997, the narrow-gauge tracks, complete with bridges, tunnels and a station, are arranged in two sections; one is 1,000 metres long, the other 350 metres. There is one steam locomotive, two diesel engines and a tram. Trips can be made by steam train or diesel train.
