Bitteswell is a small village and former civil parish, now in the parish of Bitteswell with Bittesby, in the Harborough district of Leicestershire in England. It is situated just north of the town of Lutterworth, and in the 2001 census had a population of 454 (including Magna Park). The population had increased to 554 at the 2011 census. It was recorded in the Domesday Book as Betmeswelle. The village's name means 'the spring/stream in the broad valley'.

Ullesthorpe is a small village and civil parish situated in the Harborough district in southern Leicestershire. Ullesthorpe is noted for its historic background with a mill, disused railway station and traces of a medieval settlement evident on the edge of the village.

Royal Air Force Bitteswell or more simply RAF Bitteswell is a former Royal Air Force satellite station located 2.0 miles (3.2 km) west of Lutterworth, Leicestershire and 6.1 miles (9.8 km) north of Rugby, Warwickshire, England. Construction of the grass airfield at RAF Bitteswell was started in March 1940 and it opened in June 1941. The original grass runways were replaced between February and June 1943 with concrete and asphalt. During WW2 it was used by the RAF for bomber operations and training. During and after WW2 it was also used for aircraft assembly, maintenance, and jet engine development.

Ullesthorpe railway station was a railway station serving Ullesthorpe in Leicestershire, England. The station was opened on 30 June 1840 on the Midland Counties Railway main line to Rugby. In 1844 the Midland Counties joined the North Midland Railway and the Birmingham and Derby Junction Railway to form the Midland Railway. Originally named Ullesthorpe, the station was renamed several times: on 1 May 1879 it became Ullesthorpe for Lutterworth, being amended to Ullesthorpe and Lutterworth on 1 August 1897 before reverting to the original name on 1 February 1930.In 1857 the Midland completed a new main line south to Hitchin and the Leicester – Rugby section of the Midland Counties was relegated to a branch. British Railways closed the Leicester – Rugby line and its stations, including Ullesthorpe which closed on 1 January 1962.

Ullesthorpe Mill (also known as Ullesthorpe Subscription Windmill) is a disused tower mill, built in 1800 at Ullesthorpe, Leicestershire. Members of the Ullesthorpe Preservation Trust have applied for a Heritage Lottery Fund grant to have the mill restored and turned into a small museum and local heritage centre.

Leire is a village and civil parish in the Harborough district, in the county of Leicestershire, England. The name is thought to originate from the old British name for the river Soar, which has a tributary with a source south of the village. Present day Leire has a population of around 500, measured at 587 in the 2011 census. The village is north of Lutterworth. Today Leire has two public houses, the Queen's Arms and the Crab and Cow, as well as a church, a village hall and a riding establishment. Leire Village Hall is home to Leire pre-school group, Leire and Dunton Scout Group (which has a Beaver, Cub and Scout section) and a Pilates class.

Leire Halt railway station was a railway halt serving Leire in Leicestershire on the line between Leicester and Rugby. The London, Midland and Scottish Railway opened the halt in 1925 on the Leicester – Rugby line of the former Midland Counties Railway. British Railways closed the Leicester – Rugby line and its stations in 1962.

Lutterworth College is a large 11–19 non-selective, inclusive, comprehensive, Church of England Secondary School and Sixth Form College with academy status. Lutterworth College is situated in the rural market town of Lutterworth in the district of Harborough, South Leicestershire. The school is a Church of England Voluntary Controlled school. There are approximately 1,600 pupils currently on roll, with around 400 of these being in post-16 education. The last full Ofsted inspection was in November 2017 where the college was judged to be good in all aspects. In 2019 the school was inspected under the SIAMS framework and was judged good in all aspects. Part of the moral purpose of the college is ‘enabling all students to learn, flourish and succeed.’
