Ruddington Hall is a country house standing in the grounds of a garden in Ruddington, Nottinghamshire, England. Ruddington Hall has been included in the art work of Nikolaus Pevsner alongside the Elizabethan Wollaton Hall and Newstead Abbey, ancestral home of Lord Byron. Pevsner described it as having a classical ethic of "calm grandeur, and monumental simplicity".

Rushcliffe Spencer Academy (formerly Rushcliffe School) is a secondary school with academy status in the Rushcliffe district of Nottinghamshire and is situated on Boundary Road in West Bridgford, the administrative centre of the Borough of Rushcliffe. It is ranked regularly in the top 100 comprehensive schools in the UK for GCSE results and is in the top 2% of UK comprehensives for A Level results. The School is recognised as Outstanding by Ofsted in all categories. In late 2015 Rushcliffe School became the 26th school in The UK to earn the World Class Schools Quality Mark, and is the first school in the East Midlands and North of England to win this accolade.In July 2021, Rushcliffe Spencer Academy was reaccredited with the World Class School Quality Mark.In August 2021, the academy has changed the name from "Rushcliffe School" to "Rushcliffe Spencer Academy" to join all Spencer Academies brand within the trust.

Compton Acres is a housing development located to the south west of West Bridgford, Nottinghamshire, England, on the rural-urban fringe. Compton Acres also borders with the villages of Ruddington and Wilford. Most of the estate was built in the 1990s. The name Compton Acres is taken from a garden in Poole, Dorset. Many of the streets are named after areas in Dorset, or trees. The architecture of the area is typical for houses of its age, mostly being neo-Tudor or neo-Victorian. The district centre is Compton Acres Shopping Centre, which has a variety of general stores including a small Tesco supermarket and several restaurants. Further up Compton Acres is The Apple Tree pub. There were plans for a large Sainsbury's superstore on the site of the old Chateau public house, between The Becket School and the "Roko" gym, but these have been scrapped and the land sold to the supermarket chain Lidl. On this site there is now a large car park with a Lidl, PureGym, Indigo Sun (tanning salon), Starbucks and a fish and chip shop; this was opened on 24th February 2022. Linden Homes have built 170 new houses on a floodplain between "Roko" and the new Rushcliffe Arena on an area of brownfield land, the site of a former waste tip. The Nottingham Emmanuel School and The Becket School are two secondary schools located in Compton Acres, which both opened in 2008/2009. The Nottingham Express Transit (tram system) runs along the disused railway line, and opened in 2015. Compton Acres has its own tram stop. Compton Acres is itself a ward (click here for map) within the borough of Rushcliffe. Part of Compton Acres lies within the Lutterell Ward (click here for map).The area is a popular residential location for commuters into the centre of Nottingham, approximately three miles away on the north bank of the River Trent, although about 9% of workers are based at home in a growing segment of self-employed workers.

West Park is a cricket ground in West Bridgford, Nottinghamshire. The ground was constructed by cricket philanthropist Sir Julien Cahn. The first recorded match on the ground was in 1928, when Sir J Cahn's XI played the touring West Indies in a non first-class match. In 1932 the ground held its first first-class match when Sir J Cahn's XI played the touring South Americans. The ground held 2 further first-class matches, both of which came in 1935 when Sir J Cahn's XI played Leicestershire and Lancashire. Sir J Cahn's XI last played at the ground in 1941 when they took on a British Empire XI. Still in use, the ground is owned by Rushcliffe Borough Council.

Basford was a rural district close to Nottingham, England, from 1894 to 1974. The district consisted of two detached parts, to the north and south of Nottingham. It was created under the Local Government Act 1894 based on the existing Basford rural sanitary district.The Nottingham suburb of Basford was not part of the rural district, having been added to Nottingham in 1877. Bilborough, Wollaton and parts of both Bestwood Park and Colwick were transferred to the City of Nottingham in 1933. The area of Leake Rural District was added to Basford Rural District in 1935. In 1952 parts of the Clifton with Glapton and Ruddington parishes were also transferred to the City of Nottingham. In 1974 the district was split between the new non-metropolitan districts of Ashfield, Broxtowe, Gedling and Rushcliffe. The parishes of Annesley, Felley and Selston went to Ashfield; the parishes of Awsworth, Brinsley, Cossall, Greasley, Kimberley, Nuthall, Strelley and Trowell went to Broxtowe; the parishes of Bestwood Park, Burton Joyce, Calverton, Lambley, Linby, Newstead, Papplewick, Stoke Bardolph and Woodborough went to Gedling, and the rest to Rushcliffe including the small towns of Ruddington and Radcliffe on Trent.

The stop is on line 2 of the NET, from Phoenix Park via the city centre to Clifton, and trams run at frequencies that vary between 4 and 8 trams per hour, depending on the day and time of day.The tram line and stop is located on the course of the former Great Central main line, which once linked London with Nottingham and Sheffield, but which closed in 1969. The stop is on reserved track and comprises a pair of side platforms flanking the tracks. It is accessed by footpath from each side of the line.Compton Acres opened on 25 August 2015, along with the rest of NET's phase two.

Ruddington Lane is a tram stop on the Nottingham Express Transit (NET) network. The stop takes its name from Ruddington Lane, which is crossed on the level just south of the stop, and lies on the boundary between the city of Nottingham and the district of Rushcliffe. The stop is on line 2 of the NET, from Phoenix Park via the city centre to Clifton, and trams run at frequencies that vary between 4 and 8 trams per hour, depending on the day and time of day.The tram line and stop is located on the course of the former Great Central main line, which once linked London with Nottingham and Sheffield, but which closed in 1969. The railway line here ran in a cutting and crossed under Ruddington Lane. As part of the development of the tramway, the tram track was raised and Ruddington Lane lowered, so as to allow a traffic light controlled level crossing. To the south of this crossing, the tram line passes under Clifton Boulevard (A52) using a pre-existing bridge, before leaving the former railway right of way and running on a new alignment across country towards the Clifton Estate. The stop is on reserved track and comprises a pair of side platforms flanking the tracks.Ruddington Lane opened on 25 August 2015, along with the rest of NET's phase two.

Wilwell Farm Nature Reserve or Wilwell Cutting is a biological Site of Special Scientific Interest and Local Nature Reserve in Nottinghamshire. The site was originally standard farmland, but in the 1890s a cutting was constructed to take the Great Central Railway's London Extension. The site was located between Ruddington railway station (to the south) and Arkwright Street railway station (to the north). The Great Central Main Line was closed in 1969, and in 1976 it was proposed that the cutting should be used for landfill. However local opposition saw it converted into a Nature Reserve.

Wilford Suspension Bridge, also known as Meadows Suspension Bridge, was originally known as the Welbeck Suspension Bridge. It is a combined suspension pedestrian footbridge and aqueduct which crosses the River Trent, linking the town of West Bridgford to the Meadows, in the city of Nottingham, England. It also carries a gas main. The bridge is owned by Severn Trent Water. It should not be confused with the separate Wilford Toll Bridge. There is no public right of way along the bridge, and so it can be closed by Severn Trent Water whenever it is deemed expedient to do so. It is a Grade II listed structure.

Edwalton railway station served the village and district of Edwalton in the English county of Nottinghamshire. It was opened on the Midland Railway Manton direct route between London and Nottingham, avoiding Leicester.

St. Giles' Church, West Bridgford is an Anglican parish church in West Bridgford, Nottinghamshire. The church is Grade II listed by the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport as it is a building of special architectural or historic interest.
