Canniesburn Hospital was a health facility on Switchback Road in Bearsden, East Dunbartonshire, Scotland. The original hospital blocks constitute a Grade B listed building.

Netherton is a district of Glasgow, in the north of the city, bounded by Temple to the south, Knightswood to the west while Westerton in Bearsden lies to the North and East. Netherton appears in Joan Blaeu's 1662 Atlas of Scotland and many subsequent old maps. It is currently not shown on Ordnance Survey maps greater than 1:25000 scale. The street was founded in around the 1930s (one hundred years ago). It is a street close by local shops, the hut, and a park district. Part of the city council.

Knightswood St. Margaret's Parish Church is a parish church of the Church of Scotland, serving part of the Knightswood area of Glasgow, Scotland.

Knightswood is a suburban district in Glasgow, containing three areas: Knightswood North or High Knightswood, Knightswood South or Low Knightswood, and Knightswood Park. It has a golf course and park, and good transport links with the rest of the city. Garscadden and Scotstounhill railway stations serve Low Knightswood while Westerton station serves High Knightswood. Knightswood is directly adjoined by the Anniesland, Blairdardie, Drumchapel, Garscadden, Jordanhill, Netherton, Scotstoun, Scotstounhill and Yoker areas of Glasgow, and by Bearsden in the north. Knightswood was a rural area of Dunbartonshire in the parish of New Kilpatrick with small-scale mining until the land was purchased for housing by the city of Glasgow and was annexed by the city in the 1920s. In subsequent years, housing developments were built on most of the remaining free plots (including two clusters of tower blocks – eleven in total, two since demolished), but the area remains largely green in line with garden suburb principles, with the only businesses based in small or medium-sized retail units. There are a number of churches and various community events are run throughout the year. Knightswood was also the home of the 2018 European BMX Championships, held at a purpose-built stadium in the local park.

Bearsden ( (listen)) is a town in East Dunbartonshire, Scotland, on the northwestern fringe of Greater Glasgow. Approximately 6 miles (10 km) from Glasgow City Centre, the town is effectively a suburb, and its housing development coincided with the 1863 introduction of a railway line. The town was named after Bearsden railway station, which was named after a nearby cottage. Bearsden was ranked the seventh-wealthiest area in Britain in a 2005 survey, and has the least social housing of any town in Scotland. The Roman Antonine Wall runs through the town, and the remains of a military bath house can be seen near the town centre. In 1649, the first New Kilpatrick parish church was built, which became the centre of administration for the area. The town's official Gaelic name Cille Phàdraig Ùr (meaning "new church of Patrick") reflects the name of the parish. By the early 20th century, a town had grown, with large townhouses, primarily occupied by wealthy commuter business workers. Further development of more affordable housing has increased the population of the town to approximately 28,000. Formerly a burgh, the town now has local government being the responsibility of East Dunbartonshire Council, but until 2011, the council had some departmental offices at Boclair House in Bearsden.

Anniesland (Scottish Gaelic: Fearann Anna) is a district in the West End of the Scottish city Glasgow. It is situated north of the River Clyde, and centres on the major road junction of the Great Western Road (A82) and Crow Road/Bearsden Road (A739), known as Anniesland Cross.

Knightswood Secondary School is a secondary school located in Knightswood in the west-end of Glasgow, Scotland. The school is one of the city's largest secondaries with a roll of approximately 1200 pupils. Knightswood is co-educational, non-selective and non-denominational, and provides education for pupils of varying backgrounds. Knightswood also contains The Dance School Of Scotland, which opened in 1984.

New Anniesland is a sports ground in the Anniesland area of Glasgow, Scotland, used for rugby union and cricket. Owned by The Glasgow Academical Club, a sports and social club for alumni of The Glasgow Academy, it is the home ground of Glasgow Academicals RFC and Glasgow Academical Cricket Club.

The School of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Glasgow is one of nine veterinary schools in the United Kingdom, and offers undergraduate and postgraduate qualifications in Veterinary Medicine. It was established in 1862 as the independent Glasgow Veterinary College, being subsumed into the university in 1949 and gaining independent faculty status in 1969. In 2010 it became a constituent school of the new College of Medical, Veterinary and Life Sciences. It ranked second in the UK by the Complete University Guide 2016 and in 2015, QS World University Rankings ranked the veterinary school seventh in the world for veterinary medicine.

Anniesland Court is a 22-storey residential tower block in the Anniesland area of Glasgow, Scotland, designed by J Holmes & Partners and completed in 1968. It is the tallest listed building in Scotland, and is remarkably similar to Ernő Goldfinger's later and more famous Trellick Tower in London. It is the only tower block in Glasgow to have been granted a category A listing. Anniesland Court was designed by architecture firm John Holmes and Partner and was built in the first stage between 1966 and 1968, with additional work on the ground floor from 1984 to 1985.The building is unusual in that despite 22 storeys, the lift only has 7 stops. The design was meant to echo the structure of a traditional Glasgow Tenement lying on its side. Each of the 7 levels comprises 18 homes - 6 upstairs two-bedroom flats, 6 downstairs two-bedroom flats and 6 single one-room flats with level access off the main corridor. They have full kitchens and bathrooms the same as the two-bed flats. The upstairs and downstairs flats have their two bedrooms facing the rear of the building. On the rear or north facing elevation are the ‘drying’ balconies. These are illuminated at night with blue lights and they can be seen by passengers on their way to land at Glasgow Airport. Below the ‘tower’ on Crow Road level is the Glasgow City Council’s Financial Services Office and a branch office of the Glasgow Housing Association (GHA) Local Housing Organisation (LHO) Clydeside Tenant Partnership. Below this level is a basement garage underneath the building for residents use. There is also an outside car park to the south. The patio area to the front of the building is 3 levels above Great Western Road. To the east is a smaller building in a similar style, containing 24 homes. On the patio level, there are 8 two-bedroom maisonettes, above which are 16 flats. All have the same configuration as the main building. Below this smaller building and on Crow Road level is Anniesland Branch Library and Learning Centre. To the north of the library on Crow Road is the Anniesland Court Community Hall, refurbished during 2008, occupied by Anniesland Court Residents Association. The community hall provides a focus for the community and is used daily. It is open for residents to ‘drop in’ for a cup of tea and a chat. It is also the venue for the many evening functions throughout the year. Anniesland Court is part of the housing stock transferred to Glasgow Housing Association in 2003. The complex is managed by Great Western Tenant Partnership (GWTP). The building is lit at night with multicoloured "spider" floodlights to both gables and as above – the balconies. Anniesland Court sits in the Drumchapel/Anniesland Ward (Ward 14) of Glasgow City Council. The local councillors of that ward are presently Councillor Paul Carey, Bailie Patricia Ferguson, Councillor Fyeza Ikhlaq and Bailie Anne McTaggart.
