Nene Park

Irthlingborough railway station is a former railway station in Irthlingborough, Northamptonshire, on the former Northampton and Peterborough Railway line which connected Peterborough and Northampton. In 1846 the line, along with the London and Birmingham Railway, became part of the London and North Western Railway. The station was opened by the London and Birmingham Railway on 2 June 1845, and was named Higham Ferrers. It was renamed Higham Ferrers and Irthlingborough on 28 April 1885, and renamed Irthlingborough on 1 October 1910. It was closed to passengers by British Railways on 4 May 1964. At grouping in 1923 it became part of the London Midland and Scottish Railway.

Irthlingborough Lakes and Meadows (grid reference SP953699) is a 117-hectare (290-acre) nature reserve in Northamptonshire, owned and managed by the Wildlife Trust for Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Northamptonshire. The character of the reserve is defined by flooded gravel pits and wet grassland, providing an excellent habitat for large variety of wetland flora and fauna. The site forms part of the larger Upper Nene Valley Gravel Pits Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) and Special Protection Area. It is situated in close proximity to several other Wildlife Trust nature reserves, such as Higham Ferrers Pits, Wilson's Pits and Ditchford Lakes and Meadows, significantly improving the benefit for wildlife by creating joined-up protected landscapes. It is adjacent to Stanwick Lakes, a reserve managed by the Rockingham Forest Trust.

Irthlingborough () is a town on the River Nene in North Northamptonshire, England. As of 2021, it has a population of 9,325, and was at one point the smallest town in England to have had a Football League team, Rushden & Diamonds F.C., before the promotion of Forest Green Rovers in 2017. The parish church, St Peter, has a lantern tower, unusual for Northamptonshire churches, which was built to guide travellers across the Nene valley in foggy weather. It also has doors at the four cardinal points and has eight misericords in the chancel.

Stanwick Lakes is a country park on the outskirts of the village of Stanwick and was opened in 2006. It is managed by the Rockingham Forest Trust on behalf of East Northamptonshire District Council and comprises 750 acres (304 hectares) of former gravel pits. It is part of the larger River Nene Regional Park.

Huxlow Academy is a secondary school and sixth form with academy status, located in Irthlingborough, Northamptonshire, England. Previously a specialist Science College, the school converted to academy status in April 2012. However, the name only changed to Huxlow Academy in late 2022.There are just over 900 students on roll, including around 100 students in the Sixth Form, which is shared with two other local schools. It was founded in 1962 and was originally known as Finedon and Irthlingborough Secondary Modern School. The current Head Teacher is Paul Letch. He joined the school in September 2021, replacing Steve Gordon. The headteacher before Mr Gordon was Mr Mick Malton. There are 47 teachers (full-time equivalent) and 36 support staff.

Higham Ferrers Pits is a 10 hectare nature reserve Northamptonshire. It is managed by the Wildlife Trust for Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Northamptonshire. It is part of the Upper Nene Valley Gravel Pits Site of Special Scientific Interest, Ramsar internationally important wetland site and Special Protection Area under the EC Birds Directive. This narrow strip of grassland next to the River Nene is a refuge for breeding and wintering birds such as little grebes, shovelers, reed warblers, gadwalls and reed buntings. There are diverse damselflies and dragonflies. The Nene Way long distance footpath goes through the site.

Chichele College is a former medieval chantry college situated in Higham Ferrers, in Northamptonshire, England. Chantry colleges were founded primarily in the 14th and 15th centuries in England. Chicele College was established in the early 15th century by Henry Chichele, Archbishop of Canterbury as a religious learning community for secular canons. The college was seized by Henry VIII in 1542 and many of the buildings were demolished. The remaining buildings were used as an inn during the 18th century and were later converted into farm buildings. The site was designated a scheduled monument in 1981. The surviving structural remains include standing buildings, foundations of walls and buildings, and a rare walled garden which dates to 1425.

St Mary's Church, Higham Ferrers is a Church of England parish church in Higham Ferrers, Northamptonshire. It is a Grade I listed building.

Little Addington is a village and civil parish in North Northamptonshire, England, about 8 miles (13 km) south-east of Kettering. At the time of the 2011 census, the parish's population was 328 people. Prior to local government restructuring in 2021 the village was in the area of East Northamptonshire District Council. The villages name means 'Farm/settlement connected with Eadda/Aeddi'.

Higham Ferrers Town Hall is a municipal building in the Market Square in Higham Ferrers, Northamptonshire, England. The structure, which serves as the offices and meeting place of Higham Ferrers Town Council, is a Grade II listed building.

Warmonds Hill is a district of Higham Ferrers (where to population is included), Northamptonshire located north west of the town centre. It westerly border is the River Nene and A45 trunk road while its easterly border is the former A6.

Higham Ferrers is a former railway station on the Higham Ferrers branch line from Wellingborough. It served the market town of Higham Ferrers, Northamptonshire, England. The station was opened by the Midland Railway on 1 May 1894, and was named Higham Ferrers. It was renamed Higham Ferrers and Irthlingborough on 1 July 1902, but reverted to its original name on 1 October 1910. It was closed by British Railways on 15 June 1959. The line was closed in 1969, and the station has since been demolished and the track lifted. It is the eventual aim of the Heritage Rushden, Higham & Wellingborough Railway to reopen the line to Higham Ferrers from its base at Rushden station.
