Verdugo (river)

The Puente Sampayo Bridge is a medieval bridge that crosses the Verdugo River between the civil parish of Ponte Sampaio in the municipality of Pontevedra and the civil parish of Arcade in the municipality of Soutomaior in Spain.

Cesantes is a small town in Redondela, in the Pontevedra part of the Vigo Metropolitan Area and located in Galicia, an Autonomous Community in northwestern Spain.

The Island of San Simón, which alongside San Antón and other islets, is part of the San Simón archipelago in the Vigo estuary, Spain. The islands are one of five parts of the parish of Cesantes in the municipality of Redondela. As of 2021, San Simón is uninhabited.The island presides over the inlet of San Simón at the inner end of the Vigo estuary, which drains the municipalities of Redondela, Soutomaior and Vilaboa. It is linked to the San Antón by a bridge. The two islands are 250 metres (820 ft) wide and 84 metres (276 ft) long. Nearby are two other small islets, San Bartolomé and San Norberto. Throughout its history, the island was used as a monastery, a lazaretto, a prison and an orphanage. The two islands as a whole have been listed as a Bien de Interés Cultural with the category of Historic Site since 29 July 1999.

Soutomaior is a municipality in the province of Pontevedra, in the autonomous community of Galicia, Spain. It belongs to the comarca of Vigo. According to the INE, the population in 2011 was 7,223 inhabitants.

Soutomaior Castle (Galician: Castelo de Soutomaior) is a medieval castle located in the municipality of the same name in Galicia, Spain. It is situated about 119 metres above sea level on the top of Mount Viso. Built in the 12th century by Pedro Álvarez de Soutomaior it is one of the most important castles in Southern Galicia.

Lake Castiñeiras is an artificial lake located on Mount Cotorredondo (between the regions of O Morrazo and Pontevedra) in Spain, between the municipalities of Vilaboa (civil parish of Vilaboa, near the places of Graña and Postemirón) and Marín (civil parish of San Xián). The lake is located 9 kilometres from the city of Pontevedra.

Club Deportivo Choco de Redondela is a Spanish football club based in Redondela, province of Pontevedra, Galicia, Spain. Founded in 1953, the team currently plays in Tercera División RFEF – Group 1. The club's home ground is Campo Municipal de Santa Mariña.

Redondela is a municipality in the province of Pontevedra, in the autonomous community of Galicia, Spain. It belongs to the comarca of Vigo. The most famous icons of the village are its two major railway viaducts built in the nineteenth century. Due to these infrastructures Redondela is known under the nickname "Village of the viaducts." The town lies on the Portuguese Way, one of the Camino de Santiago pilgrimage routes. The municipality has an area of 51.9 km2 (20.0 sq mi) and has a population of 29,192 in 2021.

Xustáns is a parish located in the municipality of Ponte Caldelas, in the autonomous community of Galicia, Spain. Its population was 553 in 2013 Census. It is a countryside area close to the city of Pontevedra.

Dorna is a sculpture created by the Spanish artist Xaime Quesada, located in Pontevedra (Spain). It is also known as Tribute to the pilgrimage way to Santiago de Compostela and is currently in Gorgullón Street on the Portuguese Way opposite the Vialia shopping centre.
