The Wellington Hospital in St John's Wood, London is the largest private hospital in the United Kingdom, and owned by the American company, HCA Healthcare. It offers cardiac services, neurosurgery, liver and HPB medicine, rehabilitation, gynaecology, orthopaedics, and other services. It comprises a South Building, a North Building and a Diagnostics and Outpatients Centre as well as the Platinum Medical Centre, which specialises in oncology.

The Anglo-French Art Centre (or Anglo-French Art School, previously the St John's Wood Art School, was an art school at 29 Elm Tree Road in St John's Wood, north London, England. The centre was founded in 1946 by Alfred Rozelaar Green, who studied in Paris at the Académie Julian and Atelier Gromaire before the Second World War. He moved to London at the end of the war and aimed to revolutionise British art education. He invited artists from France and other countries to exhibit and teach. Artists included Robert Couturier, Fernand Léger, André Lhote, Jean Lurçat, Agnès Capri and Germaine Richier. He was also supported by English artists who visited to give lectures, including Francis Bacon, Henry Moore, Victor Pasmore and Julian Trevelyan. Other lecturers included art critics and museum directors. Students included Dora Holzhandler, Anne Dunn, Breon O'Casey. Forty-Eight Theatre, a company formed and supported by Velona Pilcher and directed by David Tutaev, rehearsed and performed at the centre in the late 1940s. The centre closed in 1951.

The St John's Wood Art School (a.k.a. The Wood or Calderon's Art School) was an art school in St John's Wood, north London, England. The Art School was established in 1878 and was located on Elm Tree Road. It was founded by two art teachers, Elíseo Abelardo Alvarez Calderón (1847-1911) and Bernard Evans Ward. Lewis Baumer and Byam Shaw were early students. Later students included Mina Loy, John Armstrong, Michael Ayrton, Gladys Baker, Gladys Barron, Eileen Bell, Enid Bell, Frank Beresford, Alice May Cook, Marcia Lane Foster, Meredith Frampton, Kenneth Martin, G. K. Chesterton, John Minton, Olive Mudie-Cooke, Edward Tennyson Reed, Ursula Wood, Ivan Peries, Herbert James Draper, Flora Lion, Gluck, Leonard Walker and Christopher R. W. Nevinson. Aina Onabolu, the first African to study art in England was a student at the School from 1920 to 1922. Teachers at the School included Vanessa Bell, John Piper, Leonard Walker and John Skeaping. The School subsequently became the Anglo-French Art Centre, which was founded in 1946 by Alfred Rozelaar Green, who studied in Paris at the Académie Julian and Atelier Gromaire.

The American School in London (ASL) is a private, independent school in St John's Wood, London, England, for students from kindergarten through high school. The school's mission statement is: "The American School in London empowers each student to thrive as a lifelong learner and courageous global citizen by fostering intellect, creativity, inclusivity and character."Many students have at least one parent with a U.S. passport, but the school's admissions policy stresses that the school tries to admit a diverse student body. The school takes children aged four through 18 and provides an education based in American pedagogy with an international perspective. The kindergarten classes are inspired by the Reggio Emilia method. The school has been rated "requires improvement" by Ofsted.

The Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) is a world-famous cricket club founded in 1787, whose Lord's headquarters are dubbed "the Home of Cricket". Lord's Cricket Ground has been owned since Victorian times by MCC, which served as cricket's governing body from 1788 to 1989 and retains considerable global influence. Thomas Lord first established a cricket ground at Dorset Fields in Marylebone. Lord's Cricket Ground relocated in 1814 to nearby St John's Wood, historically in Middlesex and now in the City of Westminster, London NW8. In 1788, the MCC assumed oversight for the Laws of Cricket, issuing a revised version that year. Changes to these Laws are nowadays determined by the International Cricket Council (ICC), with copyright retained by MCC. Established in 1909, the ICC was administered for eighty years by the Secretary to Marylebone Cricket Club and chaired by the MCC President ex officio. MCC was given responsibility for organising England Test cricket overseas tours commencing with the 1903–04 tour of Australia and ending with its 1976–77 tour of India, both being victorious. England also played non-international matches overseas under the auspices of MCC. In 1993, MCC transferred global cricket governance to the International Cricket Council (ICC), devolving domestic administration to the Test and County Cricket Board (TCCB). Retaining first-class status when MCC plays first-class opposition, the club continues to promote the game by fielding ad hoc MCC XIs from a pool of circa 2,000 playing members, varying standards accordingly. Outgoing MCC President, the Lord King of Lothbury , nominated Ed Smith as his successor for 2026.

Lord's Cricket Ground, commonly known as Lord's, is a cricket venue in St John's Wood, London. Named after its founder, Thomas Lord, it is owned by Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) and is the home of Middlesex County Cricket Club, the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB), the European Cricket Council (ECC) and, until August 2005, the International Cricket Council (ICC). Lord's is widely referred to as the Home of Cricket and is home to the world's oldest sporting museum.Lord's today is not on its original site; it is the third of three grounds that Lord established between 1787 and 1814. His first ground, now referred to as Lord's Old Ground, was where Dorset Square now stands. His second ground, Lord's Middle Ground, was used from 1811 to 1813 before being abandoned to make way for the construction through its outfield of the Regent's Canal. The present Lord's ground is about 250 yards (230 m) north-west of the site of the Middle Ground. The ground can hold 30,000 spectators. Proposals are being developed to increase capacity and amenity. As of December 2013, it was proposed to redevelop the ground at a cost of around £200 million over a 14-year period.The current ground celebrated its two hundredth anniversary in 2014. To mark the occasion, on 5 July an MCC XI captained by Sachin Tendulkar played a Rest of the World XI led by Shane Warne in a 50-over match.
