Berdorf

Grundhof (Luxembourgish: Grondhaff) is a village in the commune of Berdorf, in eastern Luxembourg. As of 2001, the village had a population of 26. Nearby is the confluence of the Sauer and the Black Ernz.

The Black Ernz (Luxembourgish: Schwaarz Iernz, French: Ernz noire, German: Schwarze Ernz) is a river flowing through Luxembourg, joining the Sauer at Grundhof. It flows through the towns of Junglinster and Mullerthal.

Bollendorf-Pont (Luxembourgish: Bollenduerferbréck, German: Bollendorferbrück) is a village in the commune of Berdorf, in eastern Luxembourg. As of 2001, the village had a population of 165. It lies opposite the German town of Bollendorf.

Bollendorf is a German municipality in the state of Rhineland-Palatinate, located on the left bank of the Sauer river, opposite the Luxembourgish town of Bollendorf-Pont.

Weilerbach (Luxembourgish: Weilerbaach) is a small town in the commune of Berdorf, in eastern Luxembourg. As of 2005, the town has a population of 267.

Consdorf (Luxembourgish: Konsdref) is a commune and town in eastern Luxembourg. It is part of the canton of Echternach, which is part of the district of Grevenmacher. As of 2005, the town of Consdorf, which lies in the centre of the commune, has a population of 1,200. Other towns within the commune include Scheidgen, Wolper and Breidweiler.

Dillingen (Luxembourgish: Déiljen) is a village in the commune of Beaufort, in eastern Luxembourg. As of 2001, the village has a population of 159.

Mullerthal (Luxembourgish: Mëllerdall, German: Müllertal) is a village in the commune of Waldbillig, in eastern Luxembourg. As of 2016, the village had a population of 62. It lends its name to the alternative name of a region of eastern Luxembourg, otherwise known as Little Switzerland.

Echternach is a canton in the east of Luxembourg. Its capital is Echternach.

Scheidgen (Luxembourgish: Scheedgen) is a town in the commune of Consdorf, in eastern Luxembourg. As of 2005, the town has a population of 449.

The Fraubillen cross (German: Fraubillenkreuz) is a menhir, which has been resculpted into a cross. It stands by a wayside on the Ferschweiler Plateau in the Eifel mountains in Germany, between Ferschweiler, Schankweiler, Nusbaum-Rohrbach and Bollendorf. According to tradition, the celebrated missionary in the Eifel region, Willibrord refashioned the roughly 5,000-year-old menhir by hand into the shape of a cross as a Christian monument. Two niches for figures have been chiselled into the rock, each surrounded by holes. Today, the cross is about 3.5 metres high. The origin of its name is unclear. It could be derived from Unserer lieben Frau Bild-Kreuz, "Sculpted Cross of Our Dear Lady". Another possibility is that the name is derived from Sibyl, which was given to prophetic women. Evidence of the latter is that the menhir was mentioned in 1617 as the Sybillen Creutz ("Sybil Cross").

Beaufort Castle (Luxembourgish: Buerg Beefort; French: Château de Beaufort; German: Burg Beaufort) dating from the 11th century consists of the ruins of the medieval fortress and an adjacent Renaissance château. It is located in Beaufort in eastern Luxembourg.
