Tennen Mountains

At 2,430 m (AA), the Raucheck is the highest peak in the Tennen Mountains in the Northern Limestone Alps. To the south rock faces up to 1,000 metres drop into the valley of the Salzach, whilst its northern side descends relatively gently over a broad plateau into the barren Pitschenberg valley where the Leopold Happisch Haus is located.

Hohenwerfen Castle (German: Festung Hohenwerfen, lit. 'Hohenwerfen Fortress') is a medieval rock castle, situated at an altitude of 623 metres (2,044 ft), on a 155-metre (509 ft) rock pillar overlooking the Austrian market town of Werfen in the Salzach valley, approximately 40 kilometres (25 mi) south of Salzburg. The fortress is surrounded by the Berchtesgaden Alps and the adjacent Tennen Mountains. Hohenwerfen is a "sister" of Hohensalzburg Fortress, both built by the Archbishops of Salzburg in the 11th century. The castle became known internationally as the main location in the film Where Eagles Dare.

It is located in Pfarrwerfen municipality, state of Salzburg, Austria. Construction of the power station began in 1993. It was operational in 1995. Kreuzbergmaut is owned by Verbund and Salzburg AG. The operator is Salzburg AG.

Lueg Pass (German: Pass Lueg [ˈpas ˈluːɛɡ]) is a mountain pass or defile above the Salzachöfen Gorge in Salzburg State, Austria. The pass is at the western edge of the Tennen Mountains and is approximately 100 m (330 ft) above the Salzach river where Salzachöfen is at its narrowest. The terms Lueg Pass and Salzachöfen are sometimes used interchangeably to refer to the whole canyon. Lueg Pass, providing a natural access through the narrow gap, was historically one of the primary routes across the Northern Limestone Alps.

Salzachöfen, sometimes translated as Salzachöfen Gorge, is a narrow gorge in the Northern Limestone Alps of Salzburg State, Austria. The gap is formed by the Salzach River as it cuts between the Hagen Mountains and the Tennen Mountains. Lueg Pass provides a route along the Salzach above Salzachöfen. The terms Lueg Pass and Salzachöfen are sometimes used interchangeably to refer to the whole canyon. The site is considered a Natural Monument of Austria.

Paul-Ausserleitner-Schanze ("Paul Ausserleitner Hill") was opened in 1947 as "Hochkönigsschanze", and re-built in 2004, and is a ski jumping venue in Bischofshofen, Austria. It is one of the more important venues in the FIS Ski jumping World Cup, annually hosting the fourth and final competition of the prestigious Four Hills Tournament. It was renamed after Paul Ausserleitner, an Austrian ski jumper who died of the consequences of a fall on this hill in January 1952.
