Plaza Miserere (Buenos Aires Underground)

Plaza de Miserere is one of the main plazas (squares) of Buenos Aires, Argentina. It is located alongside the Once de Septiembre Station of the Ferrocarril Domingo Faustino Sarmiento (Sarmiento railroad) in the heart of the Balvanera neighborhood.

Battle of Miserere was a battle occurred during the second British invasion of the Río de la Plata between the British troops at the command of John Whitelocke, and the Spanish forces commanded by Santiago de Liniers. The confrontation took place on July 2, 1807 in the current Miserere square, Balvanera neighborhood, city of Buenos Aires.

The 2012 Buenos Aires rail disaster, also known as the Once Tragedy, occurred on 22 February 2012, when a train crashed at Once Station (Spanish: Estación Once de Septiembre; IPA: [ˈonse]) in the Balvanera neighbourhood of Buenos Aires, Argentina. There were about 1,000 passengers on board when the crowded eight-carriage train, whose working brakes were not activated, hit the buffers at the end of the line, crushing the motor carriage and the following two carriages, after approaching the station at a speed of 26 km/h (16 mph). Fifty-one people were killed and more than 700 were injured; the dead and seriously injured were in the first two carriages, which were packed with people who had moved to the front of the train to be near the station exit on arrival. The Sarmiento Line, on which the incident occurred, was operated by Trenes de Buenos Aires (TBA), owned by the Cirigliano brothers. It was the second fatal accident on the line within six months, following the 2011 Flores rail crash, and the third-deadliest train accident in Argentina's history, after the Benavídez rail disaster in 1970 (which left 142 dead and 368 injured) and the Sa Pereira rail disaster in 1978 (which left 55 dead).

Once - 30 de Diciembre is a station on Line H of the Buenos Aires Underground and is located at the intersection of Pueyrredón and Rivadavia avenues in the neighbourhood of Balvanera. From here, passengers may transfer to the Plaza Miserere station on line A and, through it, transfer to the Once railway station, the central terminal of the Domingo Faustino Sarmiento Railway and Sarmiento Line.

The Buenos Aires train crash occurred on October 19, 2013 when a passenger train failed to stop at a terminal station in Buenos Aires, Argentina, injuring 105 people. As of October 2013, the causes of the accident was sleeping at the controls.

Once railway station (Spanish: Estación Once de Septiembre, lit. 'Eleventh of September Station', American Spanish: [ˈonse]; informally known as Estación Once) is a large railway terminus in central Buenos Aires, Argentina, in the barrio of Balvanera.The station, inaugurated on 20 December 1882, is located in the barrio of Balvanera, immediately north of Plaza Miserere, a large public square. The station is named after the 11 September 1852 rebellion of Buenos Aires against the federal government of Justo José de Urquiza. Contrary to popular belief, the station is not named after the death of the president Domingo Faustino Sarmiento on 11 September 1888.

A fire broke out in the crowded República Cromañón nightclub in Buenos Aires, Argentina on 30 December 2004, killing 194 people and leaving at least 1,492 injured.

Alberti Norte is a ghost station in the Buenos Aires Underground, which was part of Line A until its closure in 1953. It is one of two ghost stations on the line, the other being Pasco Sur.

Pueyrredón is a station on Line B of the Buenos Aires Underground. Passengers may transfer from here to the Corrientes Station on Line H. The station was opened on 17 October 1930 as part of the inaugural section of the line between Federico Lacroze and Callao.It is located in the Balvanera barrio, at the intersection of Avenida Corrientes and Avenida Pueyrredón, and named after the latter.

Venezuela Station is a station on Line H of the Buenos Aires Underground. The station was opened on 18 October 2007, as part of the inaugural section of the line, between Once - 30 de Diciembre and Caseros.

Alberti is a station on Line A of the Buenos Aires Underground. The station belonged to the inaugural section of the Buenos Aires Underground opened on 1 December 1913, which linked the stations Plaza Miserere and Plaza de Mayo. Like the Pasco station, it is one of two stations of the line which only has one platform, in this case only serving passengers heading towards San Pedrito. The other platform (the ghost station Alberti Norte) is located just a few meters away, but was closed in 1953 since the proximity of Pasco station meant having so many stops in such quick succession slowed the line's frequency.

Corrientes Station is a station on Line H of the Buenos Aires Underground. The station was opened on 6 December 2010 as part of the one-station extension of the line from Once. It served as the line's north terminus until the extension of the line to Las Heras was completed on 18 December 2015. From here, passengers may transfer to the Pueyrredón Station on Line B.
